It's located a bit uphill behind the main cellars from Caves Ferreira where the tours are being offered. So it's not in the main building down by the main road. Bought all the Portos we enjoyed so much. Except the 20 year old white port wasn't in stock. It is a very nice, classy tasting room. Friendly, professional and helpful staff. And their portos are really delicious. And for good value. Surely we'll be buying more of their ports in the future.

Absolutely gorgeous grounds with a restaurant offering a sensational view of the river. Guided group tour offers a couple of different packages, depending upon whether you want premium samplings and/or food. I chose a package for 40 Euro that included 3 port samplings along with chocolate, cheese and a pasteis. Tour included a video and extensive explanation of the company history and storage process. Had an opportunity to view exclusive bottles, not for sale or tasting, that date back to the 1860's. Tour lasts for about 75 minutes before you finish up in the tasting room area. You have the option of moving outside where you will have a wonderful view.

We hopped off the bus by the beach, walked around and had lunch and ice cream. It was great because the return bus was on time. The 45 minute city tour was just okay.
