We came as strangers and left as well fed family. My husband and I were told about this gem by our hotel., the Villa Crawford. We were met by Sabrina the owner and wife of the chef Vincenzo. The experience was what every restaurant experience should be. The hospitality was heart warming. Sabrina escorted us to our table and later took our order. We asked her for her favorite wine and she brought us a wonderful selection. She showed us this little oasis where we could enjoy our wine until our food arrived. When out first course arrived she brought us back to our table where we had the most delicious appetizer course of a tomato/cheese/olive/caper berry and onion salad. After that we were served two amazing 1st courses. I had a ravioli filled with ricotta and dressed with the most heavenly cream citrus sause. Trust me on this- we have dined in Michelin rated restaurants, and this was on par. My husband had the the garlic, red pepper in olive oil pasta and he loved it! We shared the mixed grill of meats and could not stop eating it! So tender and well grilled., it was excellent. Overall you can tell the chef cooks with the passion of his heart and not just for the money. Sabrina brought us a selection of home made aperitifs including limoncello, amerreto, and one which was her grandmothers recipe. Throughout dinner, we talked, we cried, and we enjoyed. If you are in Sant' Angelo (Sorrento) this restaurant is a must. No it is not on the water, but some read more
