The upstairs dining room (which you pass through from downstairs en-route to the bathroom), is again small, and perhaps a little more "cosy". They do have an open kitchen, so you can see the chefs at work. The staff are wonderfully nice, and pretty efficient. They are certainly at the better end of the Hong kong service sector. So to the food, yummers! It is great, so tasty, and really well cooked, and very consistent (I'm starting to always have the same dish now!). I always have the agnolotti filled with castelmagno cheese, and cooked in a butter and sage sauce, all served in baked "parmigiano" basket. It's so cheesy! My only gripe is that the portions are small, and the cost a bit toppy for my liking. A small starter of burrata cheese and tomatoes is HKD170, and the agnolotti is HKD240, for a dish about the size of my fist. Yes, it's great food, but it's so pricey for what you get! By all means give it a go. Try and get a seat upstairs, as the bar noisy (especially on Friday night) can be a but irritating. And also give the wines a go, again pricey, but some very nice varieties.

These plates of food you will never see and taste in Hawaii. The mushroom soup was a little salty but I think they grind mushroom pieces into the soup. It was literally made with mushroom. The salad dressing was really good on both salad: sweet and sour tasting. The pasta, I really really LOVE the salmon flavored pasta. OMG, it was sooo delicious! The rest was pretty good too. Ginger honey lemon drink is a must to cure a cold. It made my throat better after drinking it. The bill came out to $81 USD for 2 sets with an add on. Its pricey but only once in a long time. Fast forward over TWO HOURS LATER, we were 1 of 3 tables still at the restaurant. We had all finished our main dish awhile ago and flagged down yet another server to tell her we were ready for desert. It took her 20 minutes to remove our plates, and during that time the last two tables (who had arrived AFTER us) were already served dessert. We were literally the last ones to be served. By that time, the waiters had already cleared off all tables and basically done for the night. Not once did they apologize or let us know that our dessert was on its way. The decor is really cute and trendy and as such, mostly tailored for young couples and friends. We were probably the only "family-oriented" table speaking English, but I don't think that justifies how we were treated AT ALL. They completely ignored us and really didn't seem to care how we literally sat there for almost three hours when the restaurant wasn't even busy. With sooo many other restaurants at this mall, this is one you can skip for sure.. Unless you have like 5 hours to kill and enjoy waiting forever for your food.

However, to be fair, they are excellently prepared, and very tasty. Unfortunately, the amazing roast chicken main course they had a couple of weeks ago, no longer looks like it is on the menu - booo! I also really like the atmosphere of the upstairs dining room here. It is large and spacious, and not to intimate, so you feel that you can go there with a group of friends. In my mind, it is very much a family style dining experience. There is also a private room out the back towards the toilets, which is great if you or another party are quite raucous. You can be separated from the other diners! The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the chef is often found wandering around the restaurants, never chatting, just passing through and giving the diners a quick wave. Definitely give it a go if you are feeling quite flush, it's a good place to impress a date, or your boss!

Foie Gras Platter We started with the Foie Gras Platter and I absolutely loved it. After coming back from California where foie gras is banned in the state, I was craving foie gras pretty badly. Finally got my fix! However, I noticed that foie gras is becoming a really popular dish in restaurants that serve western food in Hong Kong, which led me into thinking about the problem of the supply of foie gras. According to PETA, our demand for foie gras is only sustained by force-feeding the geese with four pounds of fat and grain every day when they are 8-10 weeks old. I don't know if I can enjoy foie gras the way I used to after learning about how the geese are mistreated. Squid Ink Risotto with Calamari, Uni and Scallops The best. I loved the calamari bits mixed into the squid ink risotto, giving it a little more texture when you chew it. I'm also a big fan of incorporating uni into dishes and this combination is as good as it gets. This may sound like I'm exaggerating but this might be my favorite risotto so far.

Since we had just landed that morning we opted to just order the pasta dishes as our main courses. The cacio e pepe was a bit too peppery in my opinion but the pasta was cooked perfectly and did have a very pleasant truffle taste. The waitress suggested the little nicholini's as it was her favorite and it definitely was tasty. For dessert we opted for the dolce ponce and the gianduitto. The dolce ponce was more like a lava cake which was good but was really sweet and had a strong cheese aftertaste (not sure why). The gianduitto was ok but nothing too memorable. Fast forward now, nearly 2 decades later, the restaurant still draws a crowd and the food is still pretty much the same. It is hearty, country style Italian food using exquisite ingredients. My friends and I enjoyed a lovely Italian dinner including antipasti, pasta, lamb, prawns, fish ending with a delicate souffle for dessert. The restaurant also has a 4-person band which serenades the guests by wandering around the restaurant. The atmosphere is comforting and hasn't changed much through the years. It was indeed a heartwarming experience for me coming back here after so many years.
