What can you say except that it's great people making great food. The donuts are amazing!

The person working - the only person he said - was not very interested in actually providing any customer service. The deli was closed on a Saturday at 12:30 and there were no donuts. That said, there were products on the shelves that I would have considered, but I felt I was not wanted at the store. I will not go to this particular location ever again. read more

My brother insisted we stop at the Rise & Roll Bakery, to get their famous donut holes. They were amazing! The donut holes were rolled in some type of a caramel sauce and then covered with a cinnamon powdered sugar. They just melted in your mouth. I would have purchased more items but we got there right before closing and their cases were pretty empty. I will definitely need to go back and check out some more treats. read more

Read the placards carefully - wife was NOT thrilled w/ raspberry filled donut. [It said raspberry creme.] Not the same. Forgot to mention - this place is known for offering free coffee - repeatedly. Not free refills - FREE coffee. Friendly folks and wallet friendly - give them a try! Parking is snug, may be a line/wait but worth it. read more

I bought 18 doughnuts about two weeks ago for family, and the first thing out of all my relatives' mouths was, "What happened to the filling?" These used to be BUSTING AT THE SEAMS with filling!! Now it takes two or three bites to even get to it! Why am I going to come here again when I can find the same quality at Dunkin' now? My guess is that they changed hands and the new owners are cutting corners. Extremely disappointing. read more

Just drove over an hour to get here and they closed and hour early. We called as we were sitting in the parking lot and they said they closed at 2 instead of 3 today and have no reason. We explained we drove a long ways to get here and they didn't care and didn't offer to let us in even though they were there. Very poor customer service. read more

Amazing!! Best donuts ever! I had a lemon filled donut that was the best I've ever had. I also ordered apple fritters - delicious; a caramel/cinnamon sugar coated donut - fabulous; a chocolate iced - yummy; and a cinnamon roll that was good (I liked the roll part) but the caramel icing was just too much for me. We come to Indiana every summer from Boston, where donut shops are on every corner. But they can't touch this bakery in Nappannee, and we drive 40 minutes out of our way to visit it. The caramel powder donuts are the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Go in and get a few single donuts if the others look good, but walk out with an entire box of the carmel donut holes or donuts. We bring them home for friends, and they are a huge hit. It's also a really fun drive through Amish country to get to the bakery. I recommend hitting here and Rocket Science Ice Cream nearby if you are in a sweets mood. read more
