Needed to satisfy my sweet tooth with an old fashioned country donut. This location, one of many, is situated in a quaint shopping plaza, staff is very friendly and though not much left of a selection, paying respects to the fact that they're Baked goods are so delicious that they go fast! A must stop for donuts. Took a dozen to work for a meeting and coworkers look like vultures. Not a 5-star didn't like their coffee. Staff was friendly and their suggestions were very good. Loved the cinnamon caramel donut. Plenty of parking easy to get and get out. read more

We ordered a Reese's Cream Pie over the phone the other day to pick up in store today. Somehow the employees mixed that up and only had Peach Pie, Dutch Apple, and chocolate pie to choose from after the pie we pre-ordered wasn't available. We still had to pay for a pie that we didn't order. We'll pre-order a pie elsewhere next time. read more

Rise'n Roll Bakery is a new bakery in the Winona Lake area. Having spent many summers on the lake and frequenting all the bakeries at least once, we were all excited to try this new spot out. Pros: The donuts were all really fresh and soft and there were many options to choose from. They have most traditional types of donuts you typically think of (honey glazed, chocolate glazed, Boston cream, etc.). Cons: They do not have a regular latte! This was a major bummer for all 8 of us who arrived ready for a hot frothy latte with out donuts. They only have caramel/vanilla lattes which are a bit too sweet when paired with a sweet donut. They also do not have regular creamer or milk for the coffee. Tips: Take your donuts to-go and get your coffee elsewhere! read more

I've been in her several times and everything has been great. However, I stopped in today to get a latte. I asked the girl that took my order if a large latte had two shots of espresso in it and she said yes. I said, cool, I'll take one. She asked if I wanted a flavor and I said no. So another woman came out to make my large latte. She started to steam the milk and then filled the to-go cup part way with coffee and then she put in a pump of something where the flavors are in the pump bottles. I asked if she was putting a flavor in it and she said no, I just put espresso in it. I said that is strange. I was god there was two shots of espresso in a large and she said no, one 'pump' of espresso and coffee. I said that is so strange as a latte is always espresso and steamed milk. She said not here. I said well is there sugar in the espresso that you just got out of the pump bottle (which is not freshly made espresso)? She said not to my knowledge as it is not a syrup. Another lady asked what I wanted and I said simply a latte with two shots of espresso, which is what I ordered. She said this is how we make it here. I got a lot of negative attitude and eye rolling. I ended up accepting their weird almost black coffee latte and thanked them. So, just know if you order a large latte here it is coffee and NOT freshly made espresso (which is the whole point of getting espresso, in my opinion) and it is not two shots of espresso. The shop is in a strip mall but inside is actually very cozy and unique. I recommend eating these donuts with a knife and fork. Lots of fun varieties, super fresh tasting. We got 4 so we could split and share them, and save some for later. It was also a convenient place to get other Amish goodies like egg noodles and jams. read more

We have been telling our best friends from Florida about Rise and Roll for so long! They came up last week to stay with us and we couldn't wait to take them there ! We passed the new Rise and Roll in Warsaw and quickly did a u turn!!! We all piled out and were sorely disappointed to see they weren't yet opened. Then the owner, Vince Banks let us look all around and even gave us free frozen donuts that were filled with ice cream. I can't even explain how nice he was to us and took the time to show us around. His helper Taylin was so polite to us too. The building was so beautiful and I can't wait to go back when it's open. We had such a good experience there and I was so surprised and thankful at Vince's kindness to perfect strangers ! Now that is Midwest hospitality ! This place is incredible. As soon as you walk in the smells are amazing! They have great selection of doughnuts. Get any of their carmel doughnuts you won't be disappointed. You should also pick up a box of their lemon crinkle cookies. Coffee is pretty decent as well. Much better then a Starbucks for sure. read more

Sweet Moses!!! This is the best doughnut I have had in my entire life. Ever. My boss brought them to a meeting this morning and I felt badly for not snagging one for my daughter, so I brought her here after school. I honestly might cry--they're that good. Everyone in our meeting warned me--don't try one, you'll get hooked. I should have listened, but I thought I would be safe. Nope. One doughnut and I'm already hooked. I also made the mistake of getting chocolate crinkle cookies--they're like little pillows of chocolate heaven. This is how I want to die. Cruised in to treat myself with a delicious apple fritter at 10:30 on Rainy Saturday. Had to wait a little bit to order, but no bid deal; the wait will be worth it. So I order, a nice person on the the other end informs me, they're out. Seriously? I said okay then a Danish, again I am told they're out. So this begs the question I asked, do you have any doughnuts at all? Sure they do. But then I said no thank you I came for apple fritter and I could not see why I must settle for my third choice. A fluke you say that they are out? 4 different times at 3 different shops at even earlier times and the answer is the same, "we are out" .
