Fresh ripe redder than red tomato, onion, and some pickles. Fresh lettuce was available. Monday's only for the cheeseburger. Brisket on Thursday, and a few other daily specials My favorite thing, for a go to, is the missy's chicken salad sandwich! Just incredible. When you feel like something a little lighter. If you don't taste the grape salad, your missing out! It's a great side, and will leave you wishing you had more, no matter how much you have.

We ordered lunch here and got the pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, broccoli salad and a homemade pretzel. The food was great! They also serve chicken salad croissants and deli-meat sandwiches, as well as salads. The line was a bit long to wait and pay. Once you order, you are given your food and then you go to the register line, this is where you'll pay. On a Saturday afternoon it was very long and their credit card processing was slow. We waited in line for a little while, luckily our food did say somewhat warm. They have a bbq bar where you can get your condiments and coffee as well (samples of coffee available).

They sell milled flour and primary ingredients for making your own stuff. I found it interesting how many different types of flour, spices, and primary ingredients like borax used for cleaning laundry and disinfecting were available for purchase by the pound. I was able to buy homemade black licorice for $3. Homemade canned strawberry rhubarb butter to spread on toast for $4-5. They also have a huge discount section and the kids loved stretching their $5 budget and got a bunch of Halloween and Christmas specific candy cheaply for no other reason than it being the wrong holiday. My husband bought some Amish sourdough bread, but was disappointed with the taste. Upon looking at the label I noted there were a lot of ingredients. Just something to note. Not all Amish foods are created equal and not all items are organic or without preservatives. Read your labels, make educated choices and admire a store of thrifty, honest, and hardworking folks.

I loved the aisles with products deeply discounted because they were nearing the expiration date. But you can definitely use most items well past those dates. The employees were very efficient. Great selections in every area. The meat department has excellent cuts of steaks at great prices. Huge selection of wine. Many of the stores carry liquor, this one does not. But I have been to the ones that do carry alcohol and they do carry everything. It is unbelievable inexpensive too. The customer service is great. Erik at the customer service area was very helpful and attentive. Since we are coming to South Bend so much we got the Martins advantage card. They have a great app also that gives you all the specials and advantages. Since I have retired , I have done most of the shopping and know the pricing of items we usually buy. Martins is low low low compared to the other stores. If you have never been to a Martins , give it a try. Oh yes, they have a robot that goes up and down the isles, scanning on quantity and directly sends the information to the office for re stocking( see pic ).
