Oh my! Some of the most delicious ice cream we've had in our cross country travels! Incredible combination options, generous servings! Friendly staff, beautiful remodel. Ripples was recommended by a local...it really blew us away! YUM! read more

Such a great local ice cream parlor! I had a medium vanilla ice cream with scoops of cookie dough. My fiancé had the Mad Montana Mocha and he said it was great. They have a cool machine that blends your toppings together. A medium was so much ice cream, I think next time I would get a small. If you are in town def stop by. Also they were cooking a pizza and it smelled delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Such a cute place :) read more

This simply the ice cream parlor in all of Montana. The ice cream is better than Dairy Queen's blizzard. The staff is amazing and so accommodating. I got a cookie dough mixed with vanilla ice cream. Absolutely to die for. Right down the road from Quinn's hot springs resort. We will be back read more

Best ice cream in town! You can get scooped ice cream or you can get one of their blends! If you are creative, you can make your own blend. Love this ice cream shop! read more

The ice cream is delicious, portions are big. The service is pretty good. Mostly high schoolers but they try to make a good experience read more

Order a medium blend in a cup and a medium in a cone. They messed up making mine in a cup instead of a cone like I ordered. The blonde mixing it had a major attitude and wouldn't fix it. She is an absolutely miserable person read more

Awesome service, awesome icecream, awesome taste. Definitely come here if you are looking for a hidden gem in your way in or out of Glacier

Stopped in for food. No food. Lady said they'll have some next week. We didn't want to wait. Maybe next time. Updated Yelp would be helpful.

Definitely try if you're in the area! Good options of ice cream. We got shakes and they were delicious

If there was ever a place in the lower 48 I would recommend traveling to for ice cream - this place will be it. On our way to Spokane from West Glacier we made a wrong turn and ended up at this wonderful establishment. They make their ice cream servings a little different. You can choose from basic flavors and add fresh fruit and other sweet options to it. Finally the blend it to serve it as soft serve. I picked vanilla and added huckleberries along with chocolate chips to it. My friends picked different flavors and we all loved it. The staff is amazing and super friendly. Take their time to explain everything and super friendly. Cute seating outdoors and with good views ! A must stop on the way back from Glacier or a place where you'd love the cream. read more

Everything you'd hope to find in a mom&pop joint on a road trip. Perfect stop on the way home from glacier before we hit the fast food highway (I-90). They had salads and wraps and pizza. All we had were tasty! Good portions for our hungry crew. To top it off the have a list a ice cream combos the mix on site - OH MY HEAVENS - delicious! We will definitely stop again read more

Great ice parlor with a simple food menu. They only have 1 machine though to make the swirls or blends and it takes a bit of time when busy and hot. Nice kids though and cute place. read more

Ripples Ice Cream Parlor - two people holding drinks - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Plains, Montana

My family and I got invited to check this ice cream place out. The ice cream was so phenomenal that we stopped by the next day as we drove by anyway. We are all in agreement that this ice cream is the best we ever had bar none. Try it out yourself and you will agree with us as well. read more

Disappointing - closed! Hours aren't as posted. On our way home on a road trip and this place had great reviews but not open as advertised

Me and my family stopped at Ripples to get some simple ice cream, but when we did we were met with terrible service. When we walked in there was nobody at the front at first and it was dirty. There were flies on the toppings. And when we ordered our icecream she said that the only flavors available were vanilla, chocolate, coconut, and huckleberry. While on the back board there were multiple flavors. She was rude and got our orders wrong and said that they were closing in a minute, which we had no problem with. However, it was 3:03pm and it said they closed at 8:00pm? She also wore only 1 glove and put it down on a dirty table before putting it on. I have no problem with the place technically but we won't be back. Not to mention she touched the top of our icream with her UNGLOVED hand. read more

Best ice cream ever!! I've been coming here every year since it has opened, and was a great addition to the Plains community. Hard to not come here often when you live around the corner... I love it! read more

What a great surprise hidden away in Plains, Montana. First impressions were great; nice decor, friendly staff, and amazing selection of ice cream. Seriously, they must have 30 different favors, which makes choosing difficult. I stood there drooling for at least a few minutes. I settled on a huckleberry milkshake, while the kids went for chocolate chip and Oreo. There was no bad choice really. The prices were very reasonable, especially compared to coldstone where you get taken for a small fortune. You get better ice cream at a fraction of the price. This place is definitely more than just ice cream. The smell coming from the kitchen was amazing! Next time I'm ordering food. Highly recommend dropping by for a scoop, or a bite to eat, when you're driving through town. read more

WOW. Their ice cream is on the same level (or higher) as a famous creamery in Portland that my wife and I visited last year, but it's half the price, and the outdoor seating is wonderful and shady. Absolutely phenomenal ice cream. read more

The wrap I had was fine, not terrible but nothing special but HOLY COW THE ICE CREAM. I got the Grizzly with huckleberry, strawberry, cream cheese and basil. Great little spot! They have three main flavors vanilla chocolate and huckleberry (local and in season flavor) Then we choose flavors and then they mix the flavors to create soft serve ice cream. I chose vanilla with banana, cinnamon and Oreos. Yumm. My hubby chose Death by chocolate. His is so good! A perfect, cool dessert on a sunny day! read more

Best ice cream ever! Excellent service, there wraps are awesome! Been back many times!

We found this little gem on our way back from Montana to Oregon! A simple place with only the flavors of ice cream and a bunch of options to blend, it delivers some amazing stuff.. We had the huckleberry flavor with cheesecake salted caramel and some berries, it was the perfect amount of sweet and worth the wait, mind you there is a bit of a traffic in this place read more

The ice cream is great, but the service is terrible! Literally 45 minutes to get a dish of ice cream. This place is not set up to serve multiple customers. I suggest going only when there are no other cars in the parking lot. read more

Stopped for lunch, desperate for food. Great surprise to find delicious wraps. Hand made for us and worth the wait

Had the huckleberry cheesecake and let me tell you first.... it was absolutely delicious.

Nice stop on the way home to Spokane from Glacier National Park. It was the only place open In town as we drove back on Sunday. My husband and I had the buffalo chicken wrap and chicken bacon ranch wrap. He chose a garlic herb wrap and I had the tomato. Wraps were delicious and served with potato chips. Our boys split a 12 in cheese pizza and were very happy; we had only 3 slices left over. We didn't plan well enough to try the ice cream but maybe next time. Cute atmosphere, pleasant staff, good service. Pizza is made from scratch so takes 25 min. Would definitely stop here again! read more

Have never had ice cream like this- choose hard scoop vanilla/chocolate/huckleberry or frozen yogurt, then choose mix-ins (pre-selected combos or choose your own). It all gets mixed by a machine that churns it out like soft-serve into a cone or dish. Incredible! read more

I had The #2 Montana Rockies with vanilla ice cream, fudge, Heath and salted caramel , and it was as good as the big name stores in the country. Oh, and remember, it is salted caramel, so if you don't like salt then you may want something different... but it was still excellent. read more

Wow, stopped in while driving through. What a treat! The ice cream was unique & delish.

We stopped here on a whim on the way to Sandpoint. The couple running the place are adorable and committed to American/local made products. Their Strawberry Rhubard ice cream was amazing. They do a really cool thing with their ice cream. They take their ice cream and your choice of toppings and blend it together. It's the consistency of soft serve when it's done, but is real ice cream. I highly recommend this place. read more
