Just my buddy chowing down on some over-easy huevos Mexicanos!

I met some friends here the other day. It's one of those strip center, storefront, restaurants, restaurants, with the build out is absolutely beautiful inside and very comfortable. There are amp, big screen TVs to watch sports, and the noise level is not so bad for this side of venue. The waiter, an older gentleman with a beard, could not have been nicer nor more efficient! Best of all, the food was stunning! I love Mexican food, and I went to my go to order: cheese, enchiladas, with extra onions, smothered and meat, rice and beans, corn, tortillas, and an unsweet Arnold Palmer to wash it all down! Mexican restaurant has its sack together when the chips are crispy and not a speck of grease, and the sauce is spicy but not too hot! Oh, if they could all do this! But I have to give this place five stars for doing it right.

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night while staying in Weatherford. There is a private parking lot so parking was easy. We entered and were seated immediately. Our server also appeared almost immediately. The menu is enormous so we had to send her away while we tried to digest the literally dozens of choices. The inside is dark and sexy. It felt like Mexico. We started with homemade salsa and chips. The salsa was good but not at all spicy. The chips were light and not greasy. Good start. We ordered Martinez martinis and they were excellent. Pretty strong but not enough so that I could not have more than one. The wife ordered the tacos de la barilla with brisket, which is a grilled taco. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The rice was good. The bean soup was outstanding. It would have been better if there was an au jus for dipping, but she did get a very spicy green sauce for dipping. The only problem was that some of the avocado pieces had rotten parts, so that was either an oversight or not caring about quality. They were not edible. I had grilled chili relleno and really liked it. I had fajita chicken inside and it was tender. The entire relleno was really good. I got a spicy sauce that was truly spicy. It was sooo good. Our server Melisa was excellent. She was helpful and friendly. Service was all-around efficient. We don't get to Weatherford very often, but I would definitely consider returning here again the next time.

July 06, 2024 We were visiting family in the area and we came here for a meal. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The staff who assisted us were very fast, and attentive throughout our visit. Plenty of food was brought out, and all of it was absolutely delicious.

The atmosphere is nice and the chips were really good. The salsa is also good with a kick. That's where it ended up the food was a grease fest and lacking flavor. It was bland and just not good. My girlfriend got the shrimp quesadilla. Same thing with hers. Just not good. The service was fast though and it sounds like the party life may be fun here. I wouldn't come for the food though.

I am what you call a regular at Rio Mambo. My boyfriend and I go there 3-4 times a month at least. I probably go more than that by myself. Eric, the bartender, has been there for many years and always gives great service. The food is consistently good, and they have a variety of dishes to choose from. Some of my favorites are the Salmon Yucatan, the fajita nachos, and the Tacos Chinos. You can never go wrong with the Ft. Worth margarita, which is their house margarita (frozen or on the rocks) with a small bottle of champagne - instead of a beer, with a half shot of Grand Marnier on top. And my favorite The Attitude Adjustment, which is their mango frozen margarita with some of their house made sangria and topped with a half shot of tequila. The atmosphere is casual and, at times, a little noisy, but it is always a good time.

we had the sour cream enchiladas, which were great that we read the reviews on which took us there in the first place. We also ordered the taco salad, which was very good. The meat was chopped up more fine, but the portion was a little smaller than we're used tothe food however was very good along with the salsa.

Everything we ordered was flavorful and delicious. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and consistently checked in. The manager was making her rounds and checking in on the guest to make sure their experience was good. I will definitely make sure to visit again soon. The food and service were great!

I am not sure why I haven't been here sooner and I can't wait to go back!! Wow! Sooo much flavor on every single bite! The shrimp were amazing! Little spicy, awesome texture, just so good. Great service. Drinks look amazing! The restaurant is beautiful on the inside. Go try it for yourself!!

We've been here so many times since 2018, when we moved up here. Since the first time we came, if we can't make a decision on anything else we just choose Rio Mambos!!! We've NEVER had A bad experience here not even when they were busy! The food has always passed our expectations! We always try something different. The only thing I couldn't eat was the brisket nachos, and that's ONLY because I was having tummy issues at the time and can't handle too much grease. Their queso is the best in town in my opinion! We haven't found anyone else who can match the queso here! My husband loves ALL the taco plates they have, he's tried every one of them. They have upgraded the place a bit since 2018. It's nice here, a nice atmosphere, they do have a bar & seating on the other side. It's kid friendly atmosphere and their booths are at least comfortable! We've also sat outdoors it's nice out there when it's nice outside. I do recommend the Gloria's quesadillas and the taco plates here! We also love their cheesecake chimichangas with strawberries!!!!! You talk about good!!!! Next time I will try to get pictures of the menu My rates Gloria's Quesadillas: 10/10 Queso/Guacamole Conbo: 10/10 Cheese enchilada: 7/10 Tacos Rolandos: 10/10!!!!!!!

New menu. Less food and quality of food is lower. Too expensive for what and how much you get.

I'm considering a celebration of life event at rio mambo. Has anyone had such an event there? Did you feel you had enough privacy, etc?

I have not had an event there. But they do have an area inside the restaurant that could possibly be used for private events. Also, I have received emails from their e-club to book graduation events at their location... I would call the restaurant… Read more

The server was there within seconds with chips and salsa. Order drinks and they were excellent. Table side guacamole, was on point. Favorite full and just the perfect heat. I ordered the chile relleno, stuffed with shrimp and a cheese sauce. Served on a bed of diced squash diced and lightly grilled. The squash had a nice smoky flavor and not over cooked with a nice texture. All topped with a special sauce. A hint of sweetness. It all complimented each other, nothing overpowered the other. Each favor pallet was present. The side of rice was good, but no wow factor. The server "Juan" was EXCELLENT! Very attentive!! He knew his job and preformed it well. Served the food, gave us a couple minutes to view it and taste it and returned to see all was good. He was always on top of the situation. Sounds like it was called "The Shed" ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-shed-weatherford-4 ), but now it's called Manny's Cafe. Unless you enter from the west end of the building, you must walk through David's to get to Manny's. It's an odd experience, and you really wonder if there is a place to eat back here... But keep walking, and follow the signs, and you do find a sit down restaurant complete with table service. Breakfast and lunch is served. We came for lunch. For lunch I had a burger. Thuy had the catfish. Burger was OK. Nothing fancy. Just your basic burger with LOPT (lettuce, onion, pickle, tomato). Thuy's catfish is more noteworthy. I don't think it was a frozen product, and do believe it was cornmeal battered to order, as where the onion rings, which came highly recommended. Very tasty. It was a neat dining experience, and glad we tried it. Also, special shout out to the woman working the dinning room. I forgot her name, but she was super sweet and friendly, and answered our numerous questions with a smile. Oh, and the tip on the onions rinds was appreciated. We are glad we ordered them! Afterwards, we did wander through David's, and that was a neat experience too. Cell service is kinda sketchy, but there is free WiFi (see photo). Bottom line: Kinda wish I had tried the previous place too.
