First off the chips were super fresh and the salsa was good. We had a small pitcher of the premium margaritas and they were excellent. My bride ordered the fajita quesadilla with steak and I had the fajita quesadilla with chicken. The quesadilla had a little crunch to it which was a great texture and both were loaded with meat and vegetables. The guacamole salad was good too. Ohh I almost forgot about my hard taco. It was just your typical ground beef taco but the meat had a good flavor. The restaurant looks tiny from the outside but opened up as you get inside. It was nice and clean We were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. All of the staff waiting on us were friendly and efficient. We look forward to eating here again when In town. read more

I have been patroning this restaurant for almost 5-6 years, and today marks the end!!!! I used to regularly get a to-go order of chicken, cheese, and rice with bell peppers; literally only thing i eat there. Now, I used to think they were constantly upping the prices while I was away at college, so I never said anything--just was curious as to why i'd sometimes need 14 to get my meal and other times 15.... But I recently moved back to the area, and started to add a side of pico de gallo to hopefully cut the occasional saltiness of the dish in recent months, and I noticed everytime I order, depending on WHO takes my order they charge me differently!!!!!! I brought this up to them a few weeks ago, and they dismissed because I had forgot ONE time to add bell peppers. Well TODAY I HAD RECEIPTS!!!!!!!! I showed them how one charges me 16.39 for the dish and the other charges 16.61. While i know it's just a few cents, with how my family and I frequent--it adds up and they've definitely been doing this FOR YEARS TODAY I JUST HAD PROOF. Well, I brought it up again and what did they do??? Dismissed me, act like they were annoyed, and didn't even apologize. Extremely rude, unprofessional that they can't keep up with their prices, and even worse that they clearly don't listen to their loyal customers. Will NEVER come again. I am glad to say this place seems to have picked up business. Hubby and I came here and it had a good number of customers inside. I think the only thing I am sad about is variety. There weren't a lot of chicken dishes that appealed to me as many have chorizo. Chorizo rips my stomach up and I know I can request it not be on the dish but still it bums me out it seems to be a main staple of most orders. Hubby was delighted since he loves chorizo. I went there last night, 4/22/2023; I ordered Shrimp Fajitas for 24.99 I received Seafood Fajitas (shrimp & fish) for $ 34.99, billed $ 34.99 ! I argued when I received the bill and was told, "You should have rejected the food if it was not what you ordered." I feel it was a plan to screw me out of $ 10.oo, and no accident, nor misunderstanding; no prior issues, + I was not drinking. This had never happened before, and I was in TOTAL shock, plus I was embarassed as was my date, Sarah. I did not wish to cause a scene, nor disturbance. Plan for the future is to put it in writing to him, and tape my copy on my table and he must read it when he picks up the menu's. Good luck, there. read more

Wow oh wow! What a surprise this was. It might be in a strip mall, but don't let that fool you. Go for the fried tacos (I asked for chicken, and they substituted without hesitation) Out of this world good!!! Also... the "Mexi-guac".... Delicious! Well, I'm sorry to admit that I have neglected coming here for so long. That's all about to change though. Actually the truth is, I'm hardly in this particular area and there are a few other options. Anyway, what I found here was a bit different. I took some advice and ordered the fried tacos. I got to experience something I've never quite had. This was more of a soft taco with a flour shell, but deep fried. It wasn't the typical fried corn shell. So that was a fairly interesting spin on things. They served me quickly and the plate was piping hot from the oven. That's something that Americans can never seem to do right. Serve a hot meal. I simply could not stop eating the chips and salsa. The salsa was out of this world good, and it had never been in the refrigerator! That means it was made fresh that day. Salsa should never go in the fridge unless you want to store it for two weeks. It never makes sense to me to warm the chips only to serve salsa at 38*, but this was just right. It was perfect! read more

Went here for lunch with a friend on a Wednesday. We got margaritas, a chimichanga, and chicken cheese and rice with veggies. The chicken cheese and rice was the best part. The chimichanga was too salty and the margaritas were weak! We had to ask for extra shots to make them better. I will say the salsa was on point though. Service was decent, but we were only one of two tables of costomers actually dining in at the time. In the end me and my friend were mostly disappointed and have decided we will not be returning to this location any time soon. read more

I honestly love this place, I come every month or so and order the Carnitas with Salsa Verde and just rice on the side. The servers are so kind and very patient with your ordering and the guy that runs the place is very professional and comes to check our tables to make sure everything is up to par. They have reasonable pricing and a wonderful environment. It is a but hidden but a hidden gem nonetheless. I always bring other people here and it ends up being a place they crave a week later so we can go again haha! read more

Very Disappointed! I ordered a small queso with beef and pico. The dip was Cold so I only had 2-3 bites. When the water finally came back to the table, I told him it was cold, but he just gave me my ticket and Said "have a good night!" I went to check out, told the owner to take it off my ticket because it was cold! He refused! Told me I should've told the waiter so he can heat it up in the microwave! ....Sir, cold beef is a health hazard, I'm not trusting that reheating it in the microwave would help! And during Covid, why would you take my already touched food back to the kitchen to reheat it! That's cross contamination!! Isn't that an Health department issue!!! I work in healthcare and that is Not allowed! It was $3.50!!! Really! If y'all need the money that bad just say so! I Will never go there again! This is very decent Mexican food. I think most would describe it as "authentic". They have drink specials everyday - jumbo Margaritas on Saturday for $5.99. Salsa is very good and portions are large. Fajitas is very tasty but my ribeye steak strips were a little tough on our last visit. Atmosphere is typical for a small strip center restaurant - nothing fancy. I am generously giving these hombres four stars, even though that is a magnanimous gesture on my part. For as I write this, it is winter, and I loath winter, so I am grading on the curve. Like almost every place, this little business is so much better during the summer months.....mainly due to the very cheap Dos Equis on draft every afternoon, paired with their simple entrees. The cheesy and primitive looking chile relleno! It is a tasty bargain at $2 and along with an order of extra Pico, makes for a light and comparatively healthy lunch. The service is quick, although the well mannered waiters can often seem a bit timid. The chips have improved a lot since a few months ago, and the salsa is acceptable...nothing to get excited about though, IMO. This place is usually not crowded, even though it should be considering the anemic competition set in this area of Dirty 'Dova. I suppose a meal that is something more than drive thru franchise is not very appealing to many out here. On a recent trip to Memphis (we were staying in Bartlett, TN) we needed to find a place open on Sunday, Mother's Day, that wasn't too crowded, you didn't need a reservation and was actually open (many places seemed to be closed on Sundays around here). It was my birthday but we had to find a place that fit our previously mentioned needs. I am always a fan of Mexican food and decided to look for some places on Yelp. This place was in Cordova - only 15 mins from our hotel in Bartlett - and was open and since it was a smaller Mexican establishment in a strip mall we assumed no reservations where needed. The restaurant is very unassuming from the door but go inside and there are beautiful painted seats and an extensive menu. We started off with chips and salsa which they made sure where not empty and switched out our basket promptly. The chips were fresh, salsa smooth and delicious. I ordered a small margarita which was a happy hour special at $2.99. They were delicious and definitely not lacking in Tequila. I ordered the shrimp fajitas which were amazing and super filling. I also liked the addition of the tomatoes with the fajita veggies. I wanted the Hawaiian fajitas I saw photos of but couldn't find it on the menu, but I was very happy with my order. My mom and dad both got burrito platters- one chicken and one pork. The pork was apparently delicious as both my mom and brother raved about it. Our waiter was SUPER nice and even took a photo of us when asked. The coats were super reasonable and the plates were piled high and everything was delicious. We found out this was run by a husband and wife and they're doing a fabulous job. If you're in the area definitely stop by! It's in the corner of a strip mall and well worth the stop!
