The food and service was pretty decent. It's your basic Mexican food joint. The place is clean and the salsa is so good. The chicken fajita nachos are awesome. Laid back place with several locations scattered around memphis. I've been to atleast two of the locations, Bartlett and Cordova and it's our go to for Mexican in both areas. read more

This has become our favorite Mexican restaurant in Bartlett. Everything is so fresh! I have a food allergy, so I always remind them. They make my favorite dishes with substitutions, which is fantastic. We live nearby, so it's a popular place for us to pick up something to take home. My wife and I tried Cocina for the first time last night and thought it was really good. It's a little more expensive than comparable restaurants, but the quality and quantity made up for it. I only give it a three stars because a lot of times the service is slow depending on your server and I'm someone who orders either cheese enchiladas or a chicken quesadilla and a side of queso dip every time I've gotten the queso dip is usually cold and the same thing with my cheese enchilada the plate will be hot, but the food itself will be cold. The quesadilla on the other hand is usually on a point every time. read more

Service: C Food: A We came to check this place out on a Wednesday evening around 5pm. The food was all excellent! We tried chilies rellenos, the California burrito, and the Cocina dip. Great flavors and larger portions. Despite our better judgement during this COVID time, we decided to dine in - it was fine at first, but soon the restaurant started to crowd. We had another party sat right next to us even though other tables were available. Around 630 when we left, the place was packed completely full. I won't be dining in again anytime soon - I didn't feel safe. Our waitress also barely spoke English and many things were lost in translation with the couple we dined with. Our dip was also served plain without pico or beans - when we asked for a side of pico- our waitress had no idea what we were asking for. read more

Horrible experience. After being seated, 15 mins later some one finally takes our drink order after being given chips and salsa. When the drinks arrived, it was a solid 52 minutes before anyone came back to ask if we needed another drink or chips or ready to order. Then after finally ordering and being told twice that it would be any minute (additional 20 minutes), I finally got dinner. And it was less than mediocre. Here is a photo of to go box... because after 3 hours... I didn't even want to eat. Where are the bell peppers? I see a spec of green and where are the tomatoes? Yep not one... And my beans were almost white. Did not even want to bring them home. They did not appear like in images people posted. Requested to speak with manager, we got 8 dollars off a meal. Should have been more. Which I didnt even care about a discount. Just know that I have never been to your restaurant before, and now I have no intention of returning. I watched 3 different couples come in and eat next to me while this occurred. And as amazing as the kitchen is backed up, excuse is.... I shouldn't have to wait an hour to be asked anything or watch 3 different couples come in and out before i even order. Timing is everything. And tonight, this restaurant fell short. I was visiting from Chicago with my daughther and fiance. We all love Mexican food and this was our first time visiting. The meals were delicious and very reasonable priced. They had the best frozen mango margaritas!! Would highly recommend it. They could use a bit more parking spaces especially once people realize how good the place is. Had been trying to visit the location for a while and was pleased to see they were open now. Inside seating was very comfortable. Menu had some really amazing choices and the flavor of the food was outstanding. We had margaritas that presented a pleasing kick and flavor. I went with my family (a group of 5) for dinner. When we arrived, the place wasn't crowded but 10 minutes after we sat down they placed a party of 6 right next to us. When I asked the manager if they can separate us his answer was "we are not practicing social distancing in the restaurant". Missing cheese on taco salad and missing salt on margarita. Margarita was pure lime juice and 70% ice, so had to order an extra shot for $8. Bathroom was drenched in water.
