This place is an absolute joke. I honestly do not know how they are still in business. I guess out of necessity. At first, everyone was very helpful and excited for us to move in. Once we moved in, it all started to go down hill. We have had a very big consistent problem with the property that no one seems to care about. It is literally costing my family lots of money because of the issue. NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE. Every single time I reach out, I encounter an assistant or a receptionist who only passes along a message to someone who never reaches out. Devin has been the only light in this situation. Devin usually made sure to call us back when we called. Unfortunately the customer service stops there. Their maintenance crew will not return calls. The property manager does not seem to care that the issue is costing my family thousands. No one there seems to care. PLEASE RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! I rented from this company at for about 6plus years in rock hill.... They are horrible and dishonest with your deposit! I left the property 9/1/23 in good condition, I REPLACED 3 bedrooms with BRAND NEW CARPET, REPLACED OLD WORN BI-fold DOORS, and a bedroom door that was just cheap in my opinion.. and I CLEANED THE HOUSE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT, I cleaned the trash and debris outside, climbed on the roof and cleaned the gutters and even left the property with a ZERO BALANCE! The only thing that needed to be done to the house was to paint after residing at the house since 2017... and one time the middle bathroom sink overflowed and Crump plumbing had to come out and fix it, (I did try to clean, and keep dry until they came out but it still ended up with mildew, (not my fault) and they were aware of this.. I also moved my bed and had a small hole in the wall, I patched that... I moved out in September (1st). They told me that I will not receive my security deposit back, and gave me no reason why! I'm glad I RECORDED THE ENTIRE HOUSE AFTER I CLEANED IT, and kept all receipts of the carpet replacement, brand new door, and closets.. WE WILL BE IN COURT SOON! I tried to communicate and as ask why I don't get a deposit back and NO-ONE KNOWS WHY! I haven't received my deposition or breakdown of the invisible repairs that were BEYOND 6.5 years of wear and tear!!!!! Here is my video and proof of cleaning the property!! I also sent this to the property manager and He reviewed them!!! Even if they gave me half of it back I would have been satisfied! What tenant does anyone know that REPLACES 3 bedroom of brand new carpet (wall to wall including the closets) a cost of 2000$ (I have the receipt and NEVER ASKED THEM FOR IT BACK) replace doors, 400$, did my own repairs, cleaned the gutters, cut the grass and kept the electricity in my name to make sure the trash was picked up! And the. Paid my rent of 1595.00 so I would not have a balance with them when I moved out! And only appreciation they showed me was to say I don't deserve my deposit of 1375.00 back with no explanation.. I put more money in repairs for the owner than what I put down in security, just trying to be a honest decent human being.....they will never find another tenant like this, and still as of 10/6/23 did not Mail or email me a breakdown of repairs or reason why the kept my money! It has been more than 30 days so this will also be considered in court! I have been respectful, patient and kind with this company! And this is the treatment they return to me!I only wanted to be treated fairly as I did with them..PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE/THIS COMPANY! Extremely dissatisfied with the property management sector of Rinehart, Rinehart Property Management, after a very uncomfortable interaction today I will never do business with this brand again. I like the space I currently occupy however, I was extremely disappointed to learn the amount of my lease differs from the amount in my renewal letter. After making the company aware of the inconsistency, I was asked for a copy of my lease. When I informed the ladies I could not find it, they remarked how, strange it was that I had the renewal letter and not the lease copy. I am unsure what the implication was or how I produced the letter on company letterhead vs a mistake taking place internally but I will never do business with this group again. The customer service is not only unhelpful and slow responding to any sense of urgency, but when a mistake is made by a representative of the company, accountability is no where to be found. read more

We recently made an offer on a home sold by Rene Maxwell, we lost over 4k in inspection fees/ dugenlince fees. This realor didnt avise her clients the Seller. To provide an inspection report. Over 40k of probelms were found. The biggest kicker was "LEAD" was found in there well drinking water property address is 340 Sunset View Ct, York, SC 29745. She has this house listed. As you know Lead is a very dangerous toxic metal. We wanted to close on this property. Not now. So, If she is such a great real estate agent why wouldn't she of done her job. Made the Sellers pay for there own inspection? Now as we the buyers had to put the home under contract. Just get an inspection... What a scam shame on you SC board and Rene Maxwell.. Let this be a lesson for both you and your firm. read more

As a mother, I am so disgusted and disheartened. My 22 year old daughter just called me in years over the way the "office manager" Teresa Rector spoke to her & her friends in the middle of the lobby. She was very condescending and ride to the four of them. These are 4 young adults that just graduated from Winthrop, all with jobs (some with 2 jobs), that applied (and paid $40 each) to rent a house. They each have been brought up with morals, values and respect. She told them very loudly, I might add, that they didn't have jobs (they do), they didn't have rental history (2 did the other 2 have lived in forms the past 4 years). She obviously didn't even look at their applications and is just making assumptions based on their age. I have read many of the other reviews and very sorry to see my daughter & her friends were not the only ones treated this poorly. I just feel so bad that they are each out $40 now. These are good decent young adults trying to do good and she treated them like garbage. I hope the owner of this company sees this & realizes exactly who he is employing. read more

After I moved out they tried to hold me responsible for damages that were present before I moved in and were clearly documented on a pre move in walkthrough list, that they had on file. They also charged much higher then normal prices for said repairs and could not produce an itemized list of the charges. Also, they ignored they fact that they kept my security deposit when they reported to my credit report and did not deduct that amount from what they claimed that I owed. I've rented with Rinehart for about 10 years and I have nothing good to say other than your money is good there and always will be. What I mean is that Rinehart is about the all mighty dollar. The first thing you should remember is that don't expect to get your deposit back no matter if the property looks better after you leave than when arrive. I paid someone to mow the grass, they said that it needed mowing. While I was living at my rental unit I complained several times about the rear screen door and someone came out to put a band-aid on it which didn't last for long. I was charged for a new one and when I mentioned that they sent someone out to do maintenance on the door they said that they had no record of that. I had been at the property for ten years and I asked how look the door had been there and was told they didn't know. I asked about wear and tear I was told that that didn't apply in this situation. Rinehart has a monopoly in Rock Hill and the other realtors are afraid of them. My rental unit was recently sold and I met the new owner and I asked him why he didn't ask me about the property since I was living there and was told by Rinehart that he was not to bother me. There's a lot wrong with this place that I would have been gladly to inform him about. Look I can go on and about Rinehart, but I don't want to you. Just do not rent with Rinehart. read more

If I could Rinehart Reality would receive no stars at all. When we moved into our property the place was absolutely disgusting. It had not been cleaned in months; live and dead bugs were everywhere. They refused to clean the unit so I had to clean the entire place. When I moved out they charged me a cleaning fee because it was "dirty" and had a few nats in the fridge. On my walkthrough sheet I put that there were bugs everywhere in the kitchen and in the living area. The management told me because I didn't put that there were bugs in the fridge they charged me to clean the fridge and a few other things. Also to touch up paint charged me 400 dollars because of some scuff marks. I have rented from several places; and the rent was much higher and nicer at that. I have always gotten my security deposit back. This company wants to take all your money because they nitpick. I also told them I was not given a checkout sheet and the management told me it was not their fault. Management asked if my meeting helped and I said no because they would not give me any of my deposit back. Then proceeded to say well at least you got X amount of dollars. pretty much saying I am lucky I got that much. This company is Rude, cheap and really pathetic. This company is terrible. I've been here two months and have had four notices posted on my door about grass being high, when they were supposed to cut it before I moved in and didn't. I've been cutting it and it's not high at all. I have repeatedly had to call asking why they are harassing me about something as silly as grass. This morning someone was driving around the house taking pictures. I have small children so I opened the door trying to see who it was. The woman was extremely nasty and drove away. Why rent to people if you are going to harass them? Thinking about breaking my lease already and moving on. Not only is the staff rude and offensive, they are downright degrading. We have been in our rental house for 4 months and have had constant issues with just about everything. We've reported these issues and have constantly been told "we'll get around to it". Now 4 months later, still living with bugs, broken toilets, leaky faucets, and even have trees growing out of our gutters (which were supposed to be cleaned before we even moved in). Yet, calling to try and get any of these issues resolved takes a mental toll as you are speaking to some of the rudest employees on the face of the planet. As a landlord contracting with Rinehart Realty Management be careful because they cheated me out of the security deposit upon breakage of the lease by a tenant. They said I would get the money, which I was legally entitled to, then turned around and gave it back to the tenant. Also, they were late twice with my monthly payment. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! We rented for a little less then 2 years from them and it was not a great experience. The house was filthy when we moved in and the a/c didn't work (August). We were left on our own to do a move in check list. Upon moving out, we were charged for things that we were not responsible for, like a outlet cover that wasn't there when we moved in, 10 interior door locks that were "broken", that never worked when we moved in, PLUS there are not even 10 interior doors, with or without locks (6 "should" lock) and so much more.
