Our previous pool company switched over to Patterson pool care not too long ago. Ever since then, our pool has never looked better. Patterson's guys show up on time every week like clockwork, they take great care of our pool, they are in and out quickly, you get a full report of your pool, it's levels, and anything extra outside of regular maintenance they just handle it. Jim at Valley Center Pools is awesome!…read more Me and a couple landscaping guys decided to try and install an above ground pool on our own, and ended up getting it 2 inches off on one side. Seeing how this can potentially lead to a pool collapse and injuries to my child or wife, I needed a pro to get this resolved as I could not take anymore time off of work for this project. I called Valley Center Pools since no one else in all of San Diego county does or has experience with above ground pools. Jim was good enough to get us worked into his busy schedule and come out and took down and reinstalled the pool from the ground up. The pool is now perfectly level on all sides and he has been extremely helpful with questions I have had after the fact. Jim's rates are fair, given the amount of work and expertise needed to make this problem go away and me not have to worry about it. Highly recommended!

I'm sorry to have to give such a bad review but it is well deserved. We hired Wendy once last year…read moreand did an ok job. I trusted her again just a few weeks ago to service our pool while we were away on vacation for 17 days. She knew exactly our vacation dates as I had emailed them to her, and we had even worked out what days she would come to keep our pool from getting algae. After 13 days, our cat sitter had to inform us (while we were still on vacation) the pool was now green. I informed Wendy immediately. Instead of saying "let me go over and look at it and quote you a price to take care of the problem", she said, "the water was clear when I last saw it" and made no effort to contact me again after NUMEROUS phone calls, emails and texts to her. I was depending on her to keep the pool clear for an upcoming pool party upon our return, (which we had to cancel because the pool was like pea soup when we returned). She did answer my call once and said she would call me back and never did, even after a follow up call. She is totally unprofessional and is terrible at communicating. She seems to be concerned only about wealthy customers and not ordinary householders. She was concerned about collecting her check though, which she had to have 5 days before her service to us even though we are honest people who pay our bills and have never bounced a check! I was polite to her through this whole ordeal and not once did she follow up with me. Even though she has pool chemical knowledge, I would say please please don't hire this company. She and her partner are not trustworthy, and terrible, awful, customer service. I usually give good reviews but I cannot even begin to find any good words for this "company".
