I'm super happy with the repair and refinishing of all of my BMW X5 wheels. I hit a tall curb. Unbeknownst to me, when I initially assessed it, the opposite side of the curb that I hit pultrudes outward causing the damage. Tim, the owner really took care of me and I sincerely appreciate it. I called on a Friday after five pm and he was able to assess the damage that day. The next day, I dropped the car off at about ten in the morning and it was ready by about five pm; super happy! If there was a zero rating that would be too much. Horrible experience with this company. I sent off 2 motorcycle rims to be repaired and powder coated , took them 1 1/2 months and I never received all my parts that went along with the rims. I tried many times to contact them and they would never return any if my calls to resolve this matter. I'm still waiting to hear from them ! I would stay away from them, I had to buy another rim off the internet to replace the wheel that was missing parts from Rimspec. They didn't press in New bearings in the rims as they said they would, so I also had to order them too. Very unhappy with their service and communications. Posting a critical review here for the sake of anyone with motorcycle wheel repair. I sent RimSpec my front wheel in Late April 2018 to repair some small cracks half way between spokes and bead of my wheel. The company assured me that they could fix the wheel for a price, which was a premium over other companies who said the wheel wasn't repairable. (I know I know, but this wheel isn't made anymore) Rimspec said turnaround was about a week. So I PAID IN ADVANCE (I don't learn easy) and air shipped it to them. I'm writing this review in October. Guess where my wheels is? To their credit, they have answered every time I call them and did get back to me with the standard, "almost done, next week" standard delay tactic that is typical of a shop that hasn't touched a customer's project. At one point they claimed the delay was because my wheel was magnesium and required special tools. I was concerned about their expertise since the wheel is clearly stamped, "forged aluminum" on the spokes. (Common for this brand of wheel...and the company never made a mag wheel) My advice; please don't use this company for motorcycle wheel repair. read more

I made the mistake and took a rim to RimSpec in grand prarie and I was charged almost 300 for welding 2 cracks on one rim. Not refinishing it or making it pretty. Crazy price for 2 small weldings. The worker in the back did an awesome job and was very proffesional. The girl in the front seems to be about the money. She called and texted me about paying her over the phone but id already paid... not sure why she wanted my CC info. Definately wont ever be back. You can make 300 off me today and thats it. Or make 100 bucks over and over.. no thanks. Definately wont ever be back. Trust me. Take ur business to 360 wheel repair. Overnight service at a fraction from these guys. read more

Sent wheels in to be widened and powder coated. After six months lots of run around and some concern that they had misplaced my wheels they sent three to the speed shop. Yes three. Not painted correct color and quality issues. They were returned. After a year they once again sent three. The two rears and the one front. The one front doesn't match and looks can painted. They lost my fourth wheel. It never shipped and now appear to be trying to scam me and UPS through insurance fraud. Insuring the one wheel the never made it to UPS for $900. The wheels are very rare and a replacement can't be found making the other three wheels paper weights. Beware. read more

This company is scammers! I sent my wheels in to be repaired back in May. I still haven't received my wheels. I spoke to a representative and she told me to send $700 on my bill and they will send me three of my wheel cause one was damaged due to something on their end. I agreed and only received one freaking wheel which the chrome quality was very low. I been calling and asking for my wheels and keep getting the runaround. Imma just have to file a lawsuit and get it done legally. I have been promised my wheels and never received them. I have every text so they can't deny anything. I ended up asking for my money back and took it to ARS wheel repair. What Rim spec couldn't complete in a week ARS wheel repair did over night great people over there at ARS. No integrity, no honesty, avoidance, excessive excuses, poor workmanship, incomplete work, that was my experience with a quoted insurance repair of 5 days that took over 2 months. Working and speaking with the owner of this small business Tim I hold him responsible as he should want his business to succeed. Instead he lies and misleads and always ask for more time or to come back. If you can't do it right to begin with and again after bringing it back multiple times it still ain't done right than why waste your time with him. I had the same experience as Roger R. A couple years back. DO NOT take your rims to these jokers. I had them "fix" a crack in a rim that was fairly routine. Did a "weld" job that looked horrible. It took them 3 months to do this job, and constant calling and harassing. I finally got the rim back, minus a hub centric ring and a hub cap, which were difficult to locate replacements for and when I called to ask for these? They pretended they didn't know me. I had to file a credit card charge back, and still these jokers had the audacity to say they did a "decent job." Took the rim to a proper shop somewhere else, and they asked me who did the work. They thought some hack job had a stab at it, and the crazy part is they did it for less money. Seriously, save your money and go elsewhere, all of their reviews on their site are "glowing" but Yelp doesn't lie. Just save yourself the hassle. read more

These guys were to correct a bend in my wheel that was damaged. Without my permission the welded the wheel. Now I can't get anyone to mount the tire due to safety concerns. They were supposed to ask my permission if they did anything other correct the bend. Then, they said that they did not weld it! Liars and scammers when it came down to being an honest business. Worst service ever. Nice human beings. But no leadership... thus leading the two front desk folks to have horrible attitudes. Went to have a cracked rim repaired left with $250 n damages they created. The rim never did get worked on. U had to see first hand, yes I pd 250 for damages I didnt do. I was there for over 7 hours. In the horror movie u stay there and argue and never leave in one piece. I am physically a big man. Not afraid of much. I couldnt wait to leave.. they were dragging me down some rabbit hole for lunch. I left with my sanity intact and will never mess with these folks again. See I am thankful it was only 250. They use a traveling mechanic... wow. I got nothing good to say about him or mgt.. the mechanic needs help. U had to c it, then u know what I am trying to say.
