Rigo's Tacos is a known taco restaurant in the San Fernando Valley. They have different locations throughout the valley, and for the most part, their menu is similar. We were waiting to eat at a restaurant next door, but the wait time was too long, and we had to be somewhere else after lunch, so we decided to go here instead. I ordered 3 tacos, one of asada and two al pastor. I like the flavor of the pastor better than the asada, but they were all good. It was a nice surprise to get a side of chips with fresh refried beans on them too. The horchata was good; my daughter loved it. They also have a small salsa bar with different salsas and other toppings. The restaurant itself is cozy with a few tables and a few Mexican murals around. It looks like they really care about keeping the restaurant clean; the cashier was sweeping around after she took our order. The service was okay, just not super friendly. But we enjoyed our lunch, and it came out quickly, and that's what we needed. read more

The parking situation isn't too bad, they have their own parking lot & there is street parking available nearby. The inside is a decent amount of space, offering several tables as options for dine-in. I love the interior design, as there are many beautiful murals surrounding the dining area. The place felt very cozy, kind of like a home-y meal place. The cashiers that have taken our orders have always been professional & easy to communicate with. I like how the staff constantly pays attention to the level of cleanliness of the restaurant. I notice them wiping down tables or sweeping the floor when I visit. I usually get carne asada burritos or tacos as my go-to. I enjoy the open salsa bar where I can add as many sauces, toppings & condiments to my personal taste since I am a big sauce girl. I saw staff eating in the prep area, and the woman who took our order touched her mouth and then immediately began preparing my orange juice, which felt unsanitary. The interaction while ordering was also awkward. She refused to speak English at first, even though I clearly didn't understand, and only switched at the end perfectly fluently. Still love this place. Our go-to for gorditas. The cheese quesadilla was MASSIVE. At first I was like "sheesh $10 for two tortillas and some cheese?" but when I opened it when I got home I was like "dang this thing is like 3 pounds!" The wet burrito was also HUGE. I'm a big guy and can typically eat a lot in one sitting but I couldn't do it with this burrito. I ate half and had the other half for dinner! The chicken nuggets were kind of subpar but not surprising considering this is a Mexican spot. Fries weren't as good as they usually are. Think they just needed to change their oil. Overall still love this place and we eat there at least once a month even though there are plenty of other Mexican spots between my house and Rigos. read more

First time here. It's very casual and simple place. Just order on the counter and seat yourself, pick up order at the counter when ready. There is one free refill on drinks. There is a self serve salsa bar complete with red and green salsa, carrots, radishes, onion and cilantro. The food was delicious and really good portions. Carne asada was all chopped up and it's meaty, didn't see any fat or ugly pieces like other places. The rice was fluffy. The beans are refried not whole. A nice go to spot when we're craving Mexican food. We've been coming here for 20 years. Service has always been great. Very friendly. New seating. Music always playing in the background. Still tastes the same as always. The prices have changed as it has with everything in this economy. But some of their "famous" top sellers have gotten out of hand. $22.99 for some carne Asada fries!!??? Not worth the price. Not enough fries for the styrofoam container the are served in.
