Rigo's Tacos is a known taco restaurant in the San Fernando Valley. They have different locations throughout the valley, and for the most part, their menu is similar. We were waiting to eat at a restaurant next door, but the wait time was too long, and we had to be somewhere else after lunch, so we decided to go here instead. I ordered 3 tacos, one of asada and two al pastor. I like the flavor of the pastor better than the asada, but they were all good. It was a nice surprise to get a side of chips with fresh refried beans on them too. The horchata was good; my daughter loved it. They also have a small salsa bar with different salsas and other toppings. The restaurant itself is cozy with a few tables and a few Mexican murals around. It looks like they really care about keeping the restaurant clean; the cashier was sweeping around after she took our order. The service was okay, just not super friendly. But we enjoyed our lunch, and it came out quickly, and that's what we needed. read more

i have been wanting to try this place since i've always passed by it when i am in san fernando & glad i did. it is a small, cozy restaurant with a variety of items on their menu. The parking situation isn't too bad, they have their own parking lot & there is street parking available nearby. The inside is a decent amount of space, offering several tables as options for dine-in. I love the interior design, as there are many beautiful murals surrounding the dining area. The place felt very cozy, kind of like a home-y meal place. The cashiers that have taken our orders have always been professional & easy to communicate with. I like how the staff constantly pays attention to the level of cleanliness of the restaurant. I notice them wiping down tables or sweeping the floor when I visit. I usually get carne asada burritos or tacos as my go-to. I enjoy the open salsa bar where I can add as many sauces, toppings & condiments to my personal taste since I am a big sauce girl. Orders always come out in a timely manner even if it gets a little packed. Overall, I would recommend this place & it's a solid choice for a quick bite when you're craving Mexican food! read more

The food was decent, but the overall experience left me uncomfortable. I saw staff eating in the prep area, and the woman who took our order touched her mouth and then immediately began preparing my orange juice, which felt unsanitary. The interaction while ordering was also awkward. She refused to speak English at first, even though I clearly didn't understand, and only switched at the end perfectly fluently. The situation felt unnecessarily uncomfortable and a bit unwelcoming. I was also judged for customizing my order, which was strange it's my breakfast burrito, and adding al pastor shouldn't be an issue.Because of the hygiene concerns and the uncomfortable service experience, I'm not sure I would return. read more

Don't come here unless you want to get food poisoning. Some of my colleagues, including myself, had lunch here and all experienced food poisoning the very next day. Very disappointed and never coming back. read more

The food is really good! Tacos are a great price $2.27 each for about 10 different varieties. Nice salads and loaded nachos. My burrito was perfect, nice amount of seasoning without being overdone. The only downside is they got our carne asada fries order wrong two times, which caused us to wait a lot longer. There is a no frills area to eat. read more

Okay!!!!! Come thru delicious tacos! We ended up here accidentally after a night of drinking and it was the best choice possible. 2 Burritos (huge) came with bean dip and chips 3 Al Pastor taco plate 4 Carne asada tacos And 2 drinks came out to $67 Worth. Every. Penny Their meat is so flavorful. Burritos are huge and each ingredient tasted so good. Highly reccomend. It's a tiny taco shop, maybe 6-8 tables. Gives an old cramped taco bell vibe inside. I really like this place! Me and my family have been coming here for years the service is always great food is always great and I love the ambiance of the building, just such a nice home feeling you get when u walk in, not to mention the people there and in the community such nice people overall! I'm so sad about this because I really loved this place . This was my childhood favorite food place to come too when I was in my teens . , anyways the past 2 times I've been coming in this month , the lady at the register has been super rude to me giving me dirty looks & "sighs me" . I don't feel welcome at all . The last time I came there was a hair in my food & again same lady at the register giving me attitude . Probably cause I dont speak Spanish . But anyways the super nachos got me super sick & nausea . But the place went down hill . I'm really gonna miss this place..... please improve on your customer service . I don't know how this place is packed all the time. I ordered taco combo of asada. That was the saddest looking asada. The meat looked grey, was unseasoned, no sizzle to it. Rice tastes like two days old. Only thing good was the beans. My boyfriend's chicken tacos were cold. I'll head over to El Faro next time! read more

Still love this place. Our go-to for gorditas. The cheese quesadilla was MASSIVE. At first I was like "sheesh $10 for two tortillas and some cheese?" but when I opened it when I got home I was like "dang this thing is like 3 pounds!" The wet burrito was also HUGE. I'm a big guy and can typically eat a lot in one sitting but I couldn't do it with this burrito. I ate half and had the other half for dinner! The chicken nuggets were kind of subpar but not surprising considering this is a Mexican spot. Fries weren't as good as they usually are. Think they just needed to change their oil. Overall still love this place and we eat there at least once a month even though there are plenty of other Mexican spots between my house and Rigos. read more

First time here. It's very casual and simple place. Just order on the counter and seat yourself, pick up order at the counter when ready. There is one free refill on drinks. There is a self serve salsa bar complete with red and green salsa, carrots, radishes, onion and cilantro. The food was delicious and really good portions. Carne asada was all chopped up and it's meaty, didn't see any fat or ugly pieces like other places. The rice was fluffy. The beans are refried not whole. The chips are freshly made, crunchy not stale. The lady that helped us was nice. Overall good experience. Definitely will come back again. read more

This place is a disappointment .I ordered wet burrito The cheese on top was rubbery and greasy. They up charge you if you get lengua/tongue. Burrito had no flavor whatsoever this was a waste of money . And to top it off they make you pay for their processing fee on credit cards they charge you a dollar to use your ATM card which is BS. Worst burrito ever. I wanted El Faro but the street was flooded and there was no parking :( So I drove down Maclay to Rigos knowing they have a good Bean n cheese burrito.. I ordered a Bean cheese burrito with asada.. got the burrito home 2 minutes away, it was cold literally cold that I couldn't believe it so I had to warm it up which sucked, then there were no BEANS and the asada was tough. I barely could eat it while tearing the meat out.. ugh oh well never again. read more

This place. Showed up here at 8:30 on Christmas Eve to get some breakfast burritos. Been planning this all week since they posted their hours. Supposed to be open at 8. Arrive, doors locked. Decided I wanted a good mexican breakfast the other day and I wanted somewhere local I have never been before. I got the Chorizo breakfast burrito and a couple tacos for good measure. A nice go to spot when we're craving Mexican food. We've been coming here for 20 years. Service has always been great. Very friendly. New seating. Music always playing in the background. Still tastes the same as always. The prices have changed as it has with everything in this economy. But some of their "famous" top sellers have gotten out of hand. $22.99 for some carne Asada fries!!??? Not worth the price. Not enough fries for the styrofoam container the are served in. The Asada torta was good but not enough meat to fill the bread. It was almost worth it to reminisce about yesteryear. But my wallet said otherwise. FYI: Prices are incorrect on the Yelp page. I do not recommend, I got a carne asada burrito combo plate to go, with tax, $16.48 so it's not cheap. So I had high hope's which were crushed the second I got to look at my plate, Yuck! the rice was old and dry and even had little crunchy pieces. The beans were sloppy and NO CHEESE! I had ask to make sure I got chips and was told I would get chips, no chips. so I held out hope for the burrito....it had a fair amount of meat, unfortunately it was very fatty, yuck. Take CASH! I was charged $1 for using my debit card. It would not bother me if I would have read it or was told about it. I just overheard someone being told that was the case. Menudo portion is perfect...bomb!!! Dude the place is super clean and the smell of the freshly made masa damm is so good...only two places to sit and eat....people kept coming and going as I sat there and ate its definitely a hidden local spot ..definitely coming back to get my moms some masa for the tamales

We took a chance on this food truck because it was open past 12AM on a week day…read more They had a few tables with some chairs right up front and sauces on the side of the truck for you to grab yourself. The tacos were pretty cheap for their size and also the handmade tortillas! The ladies that took our order and made our food were all very formerly and they were working hard because while we sat there many people came to grab food. We got multiple tacos- carnitas, asada, pastor and lengua and a quesadilla. -The carnitas tacos were our favorite, the meat was juicy and tender and it didn't have big chunks of fat like some other places do. -The pastor and asada were also pretty tasty and tender but a bit more dry than the carnitas. -The lengua taco was mushy and bland. -The quesadilla was pretty big in size but also full of meat and cheese. We got it with carnitas and it made it even juicier- highly recommend you trying this one. Overall we enjoyed our late night bite and the prices were unbeatable.
