The movie theater itself was okay in terms of seats and being clean by the speakers were terrible. The image on the screen was blurry. I also asked them about why it took them so long for the sound of freedom to play in their theater and they just blocked me on their social media. I spent some time in this Museum / Art Gallery and wished I had been able to spend more time here, it's a beautiful collection of early pieces, paintings, photographs and documents. I also had the honor to meet Monty, his enthusiasm, love and knowledge of the area is unbelievable, I wish I could of pulled up a chair and talked with him for hours. He did give me a brief history of the building that this museum occupies and some facts of the early days of McMinnville. I really can't say if the treasure here is the collection or the curator, don't miss the opportunity to visit if you're in the area.

One of them lead you to an amazing waterfall ( don't forget bring your watershoes), you can swim and get into waterfall. Second, there are upscale cabins. They pay attention to every detail. My favorite is local roast ground coffee in our room. Third, the chef cook from scratch. They provide o'dour before 4 courses dinner and buffet breakfast. Even they gave us Togo lunch boxes when you checkout! Forth, the awesome and kind stuff. From check in, waitresses to bar tender, they have a great service. Fifth, the great location, it's just hour and half from Nashville. We enjoyed the peaceful and warm atmosphere. Five points to five stars. Totally recommend. Actually 3 of our friends already book their stay after we told them this awesome place. Can't wait to go back.

The appetizer course consists of a few slices of cheese and crackers. Salad was straight out of a bag. Chicken Bousin looked and tasted like it came from Costco. Rib eye steak was very tough and chewy. With a bottle of wine and tip, the dinner was over $230! I really wanted to like it, but, just "no".

I spent the afternoon there, we did not look for mushrooms like the website said we would do instead we drilled holes in wood logs and then stuffed them with a mixture that will eventually grow shiitake mushrooms hopefully. We were not given specific information on where to buy the stuffing but I am sure you can google that information. One of my favorite parts of the day was when Crystal took me into the woods and we had a blessing of intention. It was comforting, emotional and enlightening. We then all went inside their home for some mushroom soup with vegetables. It was good but needed seasoning. The group was eclectic and interesting which I really enjoyed. There are no signs when you arrive, which there definitely needs to be because you don't know where to go. Overall I think the experience was worth the $50.00 charge. Crystal is a wonderful hostess and Dean taught the class. They also have a very cute dog that is so playful.

The restaurant has views of the lake that are just outstanding. Outside seating too. Dog friendly out there... They have a well equipped bar, and serve wine and beer to diners. The menu was vary impressive for a state park lodge... quite a good selection. The bread service is hush puppies! Quite good. I ordered an appetizer of fried chicken livers, yes I know everyone might choose something else. These were perfectly cooked, crispy, hot. Served with a nice remolaid sauce... Hope I spelled that correctly. We picked their cheese sandwiches as the main dish. Nice salads too. The sandwich was huge, nicely toasted, Gouda, artichoke with spinach dip on sourdough. Big enough for two. Excellent! Great beer and a decent wine added to the mix. We had a superb time with Maggie our super kind and attentive waitress. All together this is the pinnacle of state park dining!!! A must try. By the way we left a tip in excess of 100%, just because of the great attention we received.

The lodge sits right inside the park, so you don't even have to drive to reach some of the hiking trails. You just walk out and start exploring. The restaurant was a huge benefit and good. Lodge restaurants can be hit or miss, but this one was solid. Breakfast was a basic continental spread, similar to a SpringHill Suites or Hampton Inn. Dinner was better. They brought hush puppies as bread service, and they were delicious. We had an excellent bacon burger and I ordered the grilled shrimp skewers. Shrimp was well cooked, juicy and seasoned well. The rooms were comfortable and modern. Provides a mini fridge and coffee service in the room. We had a balcony overlooking the water, which was one of my favorite parts of the stay. There's also a nice fire pit area outside the lodge for lounging in the evenings. Plenty of seating and group gathering space across the lobby. I'd highly recommend this place. We'll be back. It's only a few hours from Nashville, so it's an easy trip to plan.

This was the last thing we wanted to encounter on our vacation. There was also a note that the sheets didn't need to be removed from the beds after our stay, which made us concerned that the sheets may not be clean. We had to foot nearly the full cost of the bill. The host only credited us back $150, leaving us with a nearly $500 bill for a place that we didn't spend even one night at. I don't recommend it.
