They let you take one on one time with the goats, pigs, and sheep. The highland cows are great too and they give you plenty of treats to feed the animals. Close to Falls Creek Falls, but also far enough to feel like you can disconnect and enjoy.

What a dream trip to the country!…read more Firstly - Laurie and David are amazing hosts. We so enjoyed talking to them and hearing about how they got all their sweet, friendly animals. The space we stayed in was a small apartment over the garage, and it was good for three women and a 7 month old baby. It was clean and well appointed! We got to interact with goats, pigs, mini horses, alpacas, dogs, cats, highland cows, chickens, and sheep.. it was truly magical to watch the baby interact with all the animals! They were in our backyard, and insanely quiet. I assumed the animals would be heard at all hours, but I didn't hear them once! The only downsides were there wasn't AC in our 1 bedroom apartment, just one window unit in the kitchen. I'm low maintenance except when it comes to getting too hot, so no AC in the bedroom made me nervous. Thankfully they have ceiling fans in every room so we just cranked them up and left the bedroom door open and were comfortable even in the upper 80s. Just something to note if you're sensitive to heat like I am We loved our trip so much that we're planning to come back soon! Thanks again for a wonderful stay with such gentle and sweet animals!

My husband and I rented the glamper for a romantic getaway. It sits right above a beautiful…read morewaterfall. We came when there had not been much rain and found it to be absolutely perfect! We took a short hike to the base and walked behind the falls and played in the water. The glamper itself was what everyone hopes and prays for from their camping trip - everything already set up for total comfort with water (provided in jugs), a fireplace if chilly, multiple ways to cook, a firepit and chairs on the balcony looking out into the forest. There was another bench over looking the falls which we took advantage of multiple times. Overall the property was everything we had wanted and so much more with an amazing price tag. I would suggest a higher clearance vehicle if you don't want to carry everything down. We didn't feel comfortable personally taking our sedan all the way to the site but there was a perfect parking spot about a city block away that was an easy walk to and from. There is also a fairy garden and to see the "fairies" play at night is so cool. The entire stay was relaxing, enjoyable and truly the best stay we have had in quite some time.

It rained so it was nice to have the area below to sit and eat and enjoy the weather out of the rain. A really cool waterfall was near by on the property as well. It's close to town and different state parks. We visited Foster falls and Denny's Cove, about 20 minutes away, and loved them. Grant gave us a personalized tour and checked in to see how things were going. Would definitely stay again and hope to soon!!

All the conveniences of modern living (Wi-Fi, satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer) provide a welcoming sanctuary in the midst of such rampant outdoor beauty it makes your head spin. Just minutes from the entrance of Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, this is the perfect remedy to civilization, too much work and not enough fun. What an incredible, comforting respite. We will be back.

The cabin was nice (Laurel Cove) and cozy, and well equipped. But the screen door was broken, the hot tub water was cloudy/dirty and many of the jets didn't work, and the horse stalls while cleaned out, smelled of urine. There is no grass available for grazing in the paddocks or in hand. Some grass near the house and on the road but the rules restricted allowing the horses to graze there. Everything is very wooded. No one came to welcome us or stopped by during the week. The written guidance in the cabin was stern, not welcoming. Finally, on our last day. someone came with a tractor to remove our manure pile, before checkout, and disrupted our packing and dealing with the horses. We waved and tried to say hi and they ignored us. Ride out from the cabins was not great. We trailered out to other trail heads all week. So while the cabin was nicely appointed, for the overall experience three stars is generous. If we return to Big South Fork we will try one of the campgrounds with turnout and a more welcoming and interactive management, and a better access to the trails.
