DISTINCTIVE RESTORATION IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE LAST 10 HONEST CONTRACTORS HERE IN THE VALLEY…read more My real estate agent told me to get the smoke smell out of my house and I needed 2 air purification machines to clear a "smoke" smell from my home. Was not sure where the smoke smell was coming from, but I needed to have it eliminated fast! Called Distinctive Restoration late Wednesday and the young lady said she could get a technician out first thing in the morning with 2 machines. Julian Cazares came out this morning and we discussed the smell and where it was coming from. He asked a lot of questions and I showed him some papers I had from my HVAC company. I had the same problem in February and forgot about it until today when Julian was asking me questions. Julian was very polite and took his time asking me different questions about where the smell was coming from and for how long. Julian did some research on his phone and told me to have my HVAC company come back out as the smell was coming from the fan unit on the roof. After spending about 45 minutes with me talking about the odor he left, and there was no charge for the service call. I had a check written out for $500. for the 24 hour rental for the 2 machines, and the thanked me and said it was a "no charge" call. The All Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning, my HVAC company, came out about 1 hour later and fixed the problem with the fan that is on my roof. I am under contract with them, so there was no charge from them either. The annual service contract I have with them is the smartest money I have spent in a long time. My relator called a company they had used in the past but they couldn't get here with 2 machines until next Wednesday or Thursday, and wanted $1,000. for the 24 hour rental. I found Distinctive Restoration on the internet and was thrilled when they said they could bring 2 machines out today. I sent my realtor a text with this company's contact information. They were happy to get it as they often need to have air cleaned in a house they are trying to sell. Use this company. I went back and looked at their web-site and they do a lot of other things besides get smoke odors out of the air. This is a well managed company with happy helpful employees.

Replacement of broken tiles looks good, but time will tell if it lasts. The new sealer didn't seal. It unfurtanately rained the day after they finished, and multiple pin-holes and bubbles allowed water to get under the new sealing, leading to white splotches on the tile. In addition, one worker apparently stepped on the sealer while it was uncured, leaving an imprint of his sneaker under 6 layers of sealer. They did come back and "clean the surface" but it is clear to even an untrained eye the the issue with the pinholes went down to the bottom layer, Despite the apparently good reviews online, my experiece left me with a bad taste, WMMV

This was our first time hiring people for house cleaning services. Dorma answered the call quickly…read morevia text and was able to get a team to the house within 3 hours for a deep clean. They cleaned the floors, walls, fans... dusted everything, made the bathrooms look great, and checked in to make sure that if anything wasn't up to par that they could address it while there. We found them helpful and fast, and will hire them again. I feel like the cost is totally worth it. $150 for a regular clean and $300 for a deep clean. The cost varies depending upon the size of the house and what's needed, so those prices were what she quoted us.

I found Dorma's Cleaning Services on Yelp and hired them because of the reviews. There have been…read moresmall problems from the beginning, which I chose to overlook because the work was good: poor response to messages, mixing up days where a cleaning was asked for, some basic cleaning issues, breakage/chipping of several dishes and a living room lamp, etc. No service is perfect, so I decided to manage with the negatives. Today's cleaning was a different story: my home is very neat and sparsely furnished with white walls and light floors, so it needs real cleaning and not tidying up. Dorma knows this, as we discussed it at the beginning. I came home today directly after a cleaning and all of the baseboards and the corners in my 1BR home were still filthy. We live in the desert - and I live in the "wind tunnel" - so it is clear what needs to be done to keep a home clean. She charges $120 to clean a 1BR condo with 3 people (no windows), which takes them about 1:15, so it ends up being around 4 hours of total work. It's a high, but fair, price... if the work lives up to a high standard. When I texted Dorma with photos of the filthy rags - because I had to clean again right after her team left - her response was "we don't do baseboards". No apology, no "we'll do better next time"... just a "it's not our job'" I disagree - it IS their job to clean my house completely. Customers beware: when you use Dorma's Cleaning Service, this is the treatment you get.
