My husband is the musician, not me. However, I am the enabler in this relationship, tempting him with visits to guitar stores so that we can take more trips. This tactic has worked great and we have fun in the process. Admittedly, this has turned into a very expensive undertaking. My husband found Righteous Guitars on YouTube back in 2019. They featured a Mario Martin electric that he just HAD to have! Ever since, I've been dying to get him to the store in person. It seemed that every time we were passing near Roswell, it was the wrong day or time. Yesterday we finally made it! The store has a private, intimate feeling since the front doors are locked. The interior is breathtakingly beautiful and slightly visually overwhelming. I adore the artistic design and look of guitars and basses. This was a feast for the eyes and ears. Top notch service which was attentive and personalized. I lounged in the comfortable gliding chairs while my spouse spent a few hours trying various instruments. He fell in love with a Fender p bass but ultimately opted to wait. I have a feeling he'll be on the phone in a day or two placing an order. We will definitely be returning to Righteous Guitars and keeping an eye on their inventory. If you're a musician or guitar player, this place is a must-visit! read more

I went to RG with a buzzing low E that has been difficult to resolve. Jeff had a look and disappeared for a few minutes and came back the issue resolved. He proceeded to lower the neck and middle pickups. After this, the guitar played great and he didn't even charge me. This is great service, I did not even buy my guitar there. Took it to a local popular shop for a set up and they got it close. Decided as a last ditch effort to take this hunk of junk in and see if the plek machine could work wonders. It did!!! I had a similar experience to what Kimberly O. shared in her review. Very condescending. As well, I had to have an escort everywhere I went in the store. I have played for over 40 years, own several top-end guitars, have been in much better stores with full reign. (If you have been to Chicago Music Authority, you know what I mean). This happened about 1 1/2 years ago, and I have never been back. 1st visit and I came away with a very bad impression. I again echo Kimberly's comment about the extreme condescending attitude. Maybe Righteous Guitars can convince me as to why I should return. It is a shame, as they do have a good selection of top-end gear. Have confidence that sometimes the customer does know something about what he wants, and the loves opportunity to browse. Guitarist can spend hours in a good store. My experience lasted about 20 minutes. As every guitarist know, no matter how many guitars you have, you always need one more. And of course, my next couple of guitars, were not from here. read more

I can't stress enough that if you have a guitar you are were thinking about trading in don't! I had sold in my 1966 Fender Mustang to this store and they had offered me 1,020$ with them pricing it at 1,750$ or at least what I was told by the employees. A few weeks later I had seen they lied about the pricing and had it on their website and reverb for 3,000$ giving me just over 30% of their listing price. Never dealing with these liars again and making sure to stop anyone I know from giving this dishonest store any business. If you're in the area save yourself the time and trouble you're better off going somewhere else where you know you won't be lied to, especially with the plethora of music store near by. read more

I was looking for an SKB powered pedal board the day I went into Righteous. Now Righteous is known for PRS guitars, boutique amps and a pleck machine but I was on a hunt for the pedal board. Jeff came to me and asked if he could help. So, I told him what I was hunting for. To my amazement he said if I could wait he was pretty sure he saw one in his warehouse. This place will ruin you. Driving out to the shop, I was expecting a nice place in a strip mall, or stand alone parking lot. Well, I got the stand alone in a parking lot bit correct; but I was not prepared for this fortress! This was obviously protecting a place of musical nirvana. And wow! That is exactly what you find upon walking into this place. If you're a guitar player, this place will take your breath away. You will not know where to look or start first. Thankfully, one of the staff members will greet you pleasantly, and then talk with you like you've known them for years. They will not pressure you; and you will simply have the ultimate guitar chat, surrounded by millions of dollars in the nicest, most unique guitars you will ever see. These are the guitars you see in magazine, but rarely get to see in personal, let alone touch. My guide through this musical heaven was Charles Perry. It could not have been more serendipitous. He's a fan of the same things I am, Van Halen, Lamb of God, etc. Amazing player, and absolutely knows his guitars. Not to mention, just a super nice, genuine guy. He didn't try to sell me; he simply enabled me to sell myself on the exactly right piece. And then, there is Ben Calhoun, the VP/GM. I've had the fortune of knowing him in the ATL guitar scene for a long time. So seeing him in there, running the place, spoke volumes to just how awesome this place is. Ben is a true class act, and one of the best guitarists you'll ever meet in person. Having Ben involved speaks volumes about the business savvy, customer focus, and determination to be a cut above. I had an issue with the neck pick-up on my strat. Since my strat was still under warranty, I brought it to the store to be sent back to Fender. The guys at Righteous told me that it would be up to a month to get a repair order back from Fender. Meanwhile, they opened up the guitar to test the pick-ups themselves and saw one of the wire connections was partially ripped. Just purchased a brand new Eastman AC522CE-GB acoustic guitar from these fine folks yesterday. Patrik was the person that helped me, sent me some close up photos of things I asked him for since I live in Texas, and they got it totally checked out with a multi-point inspection that was attached inside the lid of the box when it arrived today. Also a very nice note next to that which thanked me for my purchase and that the guitar was set up and ready to play. Oh yeah, they also shipped it Fed Ex Standard Overnight service, so I received it here at my home in the DFW area in 24 hours or less from the time I completed the purchase online. I see on their website that they Plek any guitar over $2K in value. While my guitar fell under that price point, that is an impressive thing for them to do. I received a 1961 gibson sg les paul custom white guitar about 18 months ago as a christmas gift. Right after it arrived, I called stating I was displeased with the buff marks on it but still wanted the guitar. I felt someone should have extended a small refund for not describing it in the description. So that was the first thing, now after wiping a few times for which it is rarely used, the filler is coming out in multiple places which was also not described. It is a white guitar with small gray spots, as I examine with a magnifying glass, I can see more. To me this is deception and feel I really got taken by this store. I would never recommend nor ever buy anything again and the ONLY thing that would make it right is for them to refund me some money for I never would have kept it if I would have known filler would fall out months later. Having played guitar for 15 years, I thought I had a good idea of the different runs of guitar shops in my area, both commercial and boutique. Righteous Guitars blew my previous experiences out of the park. Picture the "nice room" at Guitar center, but expanded to an entire store--walls of vintage and new premium guitars and amplifiers. They also have sound-proof demo rooms that allow you to test out equipment without the familiar "I can play louder than you" vibe at Guitar Center. One of their employees, Ben, was nice enough to spend about 40 minutes 1-on-1 with me, showing me the ins and outs of several amplifiers I was interested in; he was a consummate professional and truly knows the equipment. How did I just learn about this place? Amazing inventory, friendly knowledgable staff and best selection of PRS guitars I have ever seen in person. Not to mention the amazing amp line up. This place is a hidden gem that we are lucky to have on the Atlanta metro. I went in looking for a specific tone and Ben got it right immediately with a boutique amp combo that blew me away. If you ever want a fun place to go look at guitars or amps this is the place to go. There aren't many stores that sell high quality guitars but this is one of those stores. I was in the market for a new electric guitar. I looked at a few different guitar stores but none of them seemed to have the quality that I was searching for. At this store I was able to play a wide variety of guitars. They have a sound isolation room in which you can use an amp and your pedal board with the guitar of your choice. I, however, didn't have my pedal board with me at the time but one of the employees had his and offered to let me use his with the guitars. I ended up buying a Duesenberg Starplayer TV Custom. They polished it, changed the strings, and put the strap locks that I had on it for me. They then walked me out to my car and put the guitar in the car for me. The guys were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The place was very clean an organized. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in search for a guitar or amp. What can I say about Righteous Guitars that the name doesn't imply ?!? This place is awesome ! I've had several guitars set up there and currently have one going through the PLEK process. Every person who works here is a guitar enthusiast and is super knowledgeable on not only the gear they sell but gear in general and they sell some "Rightious" gear. All the staff seems to work on the guitars so they get your stuff done pretty quick .... Although it may seem strange to make an "appointment" to go to a guitar store , once there you'll understand why. The staff dedicates time to you so that you get the full service treatment. I recently had a guitar set up and they missed a note on the work order that the guitar was to be set up in a non standard tuning , I picked the guitar up curbside and didn't check it before leaving. Once home I found the error and contacted them. They asked me to bring the guitar back so they could fix it and fix it they did , right in front of me .... Now I want all my guitars set up right in front of me I even got the "back and fourth" across the counter so that it was to my liking and then they credited the set up to my other guitar that is being PLEK'ed since I had to drive back up there ...
