Iran from Aqua Pools saves the day yet again!…read more A few weeks ago, Iran noticed our pool cleaner was more sluggish than usual. He advised us that our DE filter/grids needed to be cleaned. At that time, he advised us that we could either have the filters cleaned as we normally do, OR we might want to think about changing over from the DE filter to a Cartridge filter. He very thoroughly explained the cost value (short term vs. long term) of switching from DE grids to a Cartridge system: it would cost more up front to switch the system over, but we would save money over time (due to the cost of cleaning and eventually replacing the filter grids, buying the required DE chemical, etc.), and we would save water because we would no longer have to backwash the pool which saves on the water bill and is also better for the environment. Iran also discussed that the DE chemical used in DE filters can be potentially harmful to humans if not handled correctly. I discussed our current financial situation with Iran. He gave me payment options, but did not pressure us all. Because of our previous experience with Iran, and due to Iran's expertise and thorough explanation, we ultimately decided to switch to the Cartridge filter system. The day he installed it, we were at work so Iran sent me a video when he finished. I couldn't believe it! Our previously sluggish pool cleaner was zipping all over our pool and it had NEVER done that before! Iran said in the video that the pool cleaner was now like Spider-man because it was literally climbing the walls of our pool and had even gotten onto a high step/seat in our pool! It had NEVER done that before! The pool aerator which had previously been a small trickle was now shooting water halfway across the pool, and the waterfall was flowing stronger than ever! When the pool tech did come, most times, the pool tech "forgot" to brush the pool walls or floor. In fact, I'm pretty sure the tech never used chemicals either. If he did, he had to be a magician as I was never able to see him do so on any of the backyard video cams. We were lucky to get him to show... Half the time, there were rocks and dead leaves left in my pool. I paid this company in full prior to canceling service. I didn't leave a review then b/c the owner pleaded a some sob story about them not finding good help. I just let it be. .paid in full. Fast forward to two months later, I received an invoice billing me for "chemicals" they claim were used and not billed for. I am now leaving a review.. Go elsewhere..
