Because of that I hired him. He not only delivered on our first giant pine tree that covered our beautiful home but I called him back a second time to remove another one and 3 other dying trees that were left from previous owners. Marcelino's team shows up on time, does a thorough job from cutting, to grinding and cleanup. The first time his grinder wasn't working and true to his word they came back with a working grinder in a week and finished the work. I like that I dont have to follow up with him and they just get the work done! After multiple jobs done by him and his team I feel very confident in my recommendation in Beyond Tree Care for all your Tree needs.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience with Marcelino and his team. It started off great…read morewhen he knew they had a big money job coming when I had them cut down and grind stumps on a good amount of large trees. Marcelino was responsive at first until the the job was complete. They did break my sprinklers and bumped into my water system but they were able to repair it the same day. One of the workers also broke my outdoor exercise machine as they were fooling around on it. I let these 2 things slide. What I found out later was that they did not complete the job. They were supposed to grind some stumps but buried it with all of the mulch instead hoping I wouldn't find out. This is when I attempted to get a hold of Marcelino to which he ignored me A LOT. I've remained extremely polite through this process but he still brushed me off continuously and did not pick up any of my phone calls. After letting him know that he will be seeing me in court, he finally responded and sent a guy to finish the job and offered to do some more work that day for free. Then they NO SHOW me not once, but TWICE on appointments. I've taken work off to make sure I was home for them to come which was a complete waste of my time and money. When one of his guys finally shows up with the minimum amount of equipment to do that single job, none of the extra free work promised was delivered. He then disappears after I show him the work he needed to do. So I texted Marcelino again to see where he went to which he said he needed to fill up gas. This I understand but where is the communication? It almost felt like he ran away because he found out he wasn't getting paid for this particular job. After he was done, I continued to try to get a hold of Marcelino for the work that his guy promised but couldn't deliver due to the lack of equipment but Marcelino has ignored me ever since. Anyway, I can go on forever about this business but I'll wrap it up - I'm giving them 2 stars, added one because they actually completed the job after me having to chase them down. But to summarize the way these guys do business: unprofessional, scammy, dishonest, greedy, and horrible communication. I do not like to leave these kinds of reviews for businesses, but I feel that people need to know. Be cautious when dealing with Marcelino and his team.

I appreciated that this company consistently called ahead before visiting the property, which was…read moresomething I specifically requested and valued. However, several issues during the service period made the overall experience challenging. To begin service, I paid a large initial fee, which set the expectation for stable and reliable ongoing maintenance. Despite that, the gardener later attempted to significantly increase the biweekly rate, citing fuel expenses. This was unexpected, especially given the upfront cost I had already paid. There were also repeated issues accessing the backyard because tenants did not leave the gate unlocked, which led to overgrowth and additional work. While I understand the difficulty, communication about these access problems was not consistent. Without timely updates, I couldn't address the issue with the tenants.Sanitation problems were another concern. Dog feces were often left in the yard by the tenants, but again, I wasn't consistently informed, which limited my ability to correct the situation. Additionally, multiple sprinkler heads were damaged during the period of service, something I had never experienced with previous gardeners.Ultimately, the gardener resigned abruptly, citing the access and sanitation issues. While I understand the challenges he faced, the lack of consistent communication and the property damage made the service less reliable than expected.
