On a trip to Miami a few days ago my girlfriend and I decided to try them for lunch. McMillon's both on The outside and inside has an old look to it that reminded me of some of the bbq places I've been to in Memphis and Kansas City. Very basic interior without much decor. We ordered a rib dinner with Mac and cheese and baked beans and an extra side of potato salad. I decided to get a cheeseburger too. The ribs were pretty good. Tender but not fall off the bone (which is over cooked in my book). They do come sauces so be aware. But I must say I Loved their bbq sauce. It was so good that I would have happily bought a jar of it on site but they don't sell it that way sadly. A vinegar/mustard based sauce I would say, similar to what places in South Carolina would make. The Mac and cheese was decent, could use a little more creaminess and cheese. I really liked the baked beans which were heavy in cinnamon and reminded me of the kind of baked beans that many bbq places in the Tampa-area used to serve when I was living there years ago (people called them "cinnabeans"). The burger is huge. They use sliced bread as opposed to traditional bun. I thought the service was pleasant. Maybe slightly disorganized. My wife went with the Pulled pork sandwich Lunch special and I chose the Pulled Pork platter with collard greens and baked beans. Our meals were brought out of the kitchen in a reasonable amount of time, hot and appealing. Every component of my platter was delicious!
