My father-in-law lived at Lohar's Assisted Living for about a year and a half. During that time, he…read moredid very well, and the staff became genuinely attached to him. From the clinical director to the maintenance team, everyone interacted with him and made him feel cared for. When he became ill and was hospitalized, he was eventually placed on hospice care. Lohar welcomed him back under hospice, and he was able to pass peacefully in a familiar and supportive environment. The communication from the clinical director, Yolanda, was outstanding. She kept us fully informed and worked closely with us to ensure his hospice care met all of his needs. When he passed, it was clear that Yolanda and several other staff members were deeply affected. Their compassion and care made it evident how much they truly value their residents.

Things at LC seem to have gone downhill in the past few months. When we signed up, I asked if…read moreparking was ever a problem because I planned to visit my mother in assisted living care twice weekly. I was told another area was being prepared for parking, and it would not be a problem. We arrived at the assisted living in January. There was always a parking space in January. Early February, I noticed signs being placed at each parking space reserving it for visitors, employees, and now, assigned spaces for those who still drive. I drive 30 minutes to Santee, and there is absolutely no parking available for visiting. Even down the steep street coming up to LC, there is no parking available. There are things that could be done to alleviate the parking situation, but management doesn't seem to care? Now when I attempt to visit, the lot is full, people are parking everywhere including handicapped, fire lane, and blocking other parked cars and people are yelling at each other vying for vacated parking spaces. If parking weren't a problem, I'd give 3 or 4 stars. The kitchen, while sometimes disorganized, always gives three hot meals a day. The place doesn't smell bad and seems clean. The common areas are nice. Medicine delivery (costs extra) hasn't been a problem. We have had a couple problems with "care" issues, but nothing too serious. We are seriously considering an another place a few miles away with ample parking for visitors. For the cost of monthly rent, a parking space should come with the unit.

I would like to give a review for dentist Tony Georgiadis or Dr. G., who has been my dentist for…read moreover a year now. I had to have my upper teeth pulled due to poor tooth health. Having your teeth pulled is a harrowing experience on it's own. Having to learn how to eat with dentures is one as well. After having my teeth pulled and gums healed, it was time for dentures. Dr. G made the experience much more comfortable. He was very precise in his measurements for my dentures and they came out beautiful and I can comfortably eat with my dentures. Dr. G has told me many times to call and make an appointment for an adjustment if I feel any blisters or any painful areas. This reassurance has made the overall experience much more tollerable.
