I had trouble with a 6 MO Maytag washer that I bought elsewhere. I couldn't find a repair person due to my rural location. Reister's agreed to come out. Peter was the 1st service man. He was knowledgeable and quickly found what part was needed. Maytag sent the part. Andrew was the 2nd and 3rd repairman. He was also knowledgeable and thorough. I would highly recommend buying from Reister's and/or using their repair service. I will definitely be buying from them in the future but definitely NOT a Maytag product. JoAnn S. read more

I was assigned to Riester's Appliances by New Leaf after-market warranty for service on my Whirlpool French door refrigerator. This process took about one month from start to almost finished, all the while living without a refrigerator. Whirlpool suggested a board and an evaporator fan. Jason then left to order the parts. About one or more weeks later, the board came in and Jason came back to install it within another week. Of course, the board didn't fix the cooling issue. He then said the the fan might work, which is what Whirlpool suggested. Then the fan came in within another week or so and Jason came back on June 1st. He started out with a bad attitude. He was unable to disassemble the bottom freezer drawer to make the installation. He then gathered all of his tools and went to call his boss, David. He then comes back saying that he was told to leave based on the attitude that I gave him. He also was rude to my wife by saying that if we had purchased it from them then he would be able to fix it otherwise they aren't interested! Nice attitude! His boss, David calls me to say that Jason said that I was rude to him and that is why we need to part ways. Now I have to start all over with a new service provider. read more

I had Riester's come to my home this morning to repair both my oven and dryer. A nice man came and ordered the parts for both appliances and will have them installed in our home within 3 days. He was so friendly and great with my pet dog. Riester's does not mark up any of the parts needed for appliance repair, making them a great choice for all of your appliance repair needs! read more

Horrible experience. We were service when we walked in as the store in Canandaigua is practically empty and looks run down. We ordered 2 expensive, Italian wall ovens in Oct of 2021 (we have a 24" space, and not many 24" option are out there). Two months later we still did not have an expected arrival date, and the store was horrible about getting information to us. While the sales guy was respectful when speaking to my husband, he was rude and spoke down to me on the phone. Finally we were told, "After December 12". We called on 12/13/21 to ask what the update was - nothing. Finally in February we were told they would arrive in the store in early March. They both arrived in later March and were set for install on 4/18. The units were dropped off by one crew, then the installer arrived almost an hour late. I had clarified on the phone that the arrival time was 10-10:30 as we had an electrician who would be here to make sure all was set with electric for hook up (we were unable to get that information ahead of time from the store). Upon arrival the installer, Jason, says, "I'm here to maybe install some ovens". MAYBE? It went down hill from there. In October we told the salesman, Joe, that we had a 1985 Thermadore double unit that was one piece in the space right now. We had all the measurements. We went in with a printout from the internet of the units we wanted. We asked the salesman questions about stacking them, install, size etc. He was looking up the information as we spoke to him. He knew what we had. The company never offered to send someone out to make sure the ovens would work in the space. First problem - Jason the installer could not remove the current oven by himself. Then we needed a shelf for the second unit to sit on. As we told them they would be removing and disposing of a 1 piece unit, I am not sure how they thought we would be ready with a shelf for the top unit. Then they didn't have the right part with them to wire it and were just going to cancel and come back another day - a phone call to the store at least got us to the point where they would get the part, but then they realized that they would need to put in pieces of wood on each side to screw into in order to install the bottom unit -but they don't do that. I have never met an installer who didn't come ready to deal with some of the common issues that arise with an install. In speaking with the store I asked for call backs that I was told I would receive and did not receive. The installer was rude. Didn't want to deal with the situation - just wanted to cancel and move on. I took the whole day off to be home to deal with this, clearly my time was not valuable. We are currently working on getting our install money back. In talking with Joe, the sales guy, about our frustrations, he just laughed. He was clear he didn't care if we wrote a bad review. This business is unprofessional, unprepared and rude. (And if they reply I am sure they will blame the customer, as that seems to be there MO. If they reply that the install didn't happen because the electric wasn't ready, that is a lie. We had it so they bottom unit could be installed, but there were lacking a part, and then could not adjust for the width of the opening being slightly larger than the new unit). read more

I had a terrible installation and service experience. Spent a significant amount of money on all brand new appliances and their was nothing but problems. Washer and dryer didn't function properly and they charged me to come out only weeks after their installation. Dishwasher came loose and is now moving around under the counter. read more

A year ago I thought I'd never buy an appliance from anywhere else because the service tech was efficient and helpful. Today, I need a repair for the exact same problem as a year ago. When I called I was advised that they will only repair appliances purchased from them. My appliance came with the home I purchased recently. I didn't know where it was purchased from. If the repair didn't work this time, I was prepared to purchase a new appliance from them. Their unwillingness to help me, has soured my taste. I wanted to support local business, but now I will shop anywhere else instead. read more

Needed a microwave, sales fellow was rude, when questioned about installation & time frame fellow got nasty, suggested we go to Lowe's where he said we would wait longer & pay more. We went to Lowe's got just what we wanted & the wait time is the same & installation will be comparable. Thanks for the suggestion. They do not stand behind their products. One they've made the sale, you are on your own if anything breaks down. I bought 4 better brand appliances from them within the last 7 years . Three of them have needed major repairs, parts were expensive and Reister's charges a $63 service charge plus labor and tax. I just spent $89 and the appliance wasn't even fixed. I was told the part would be at least a couple hundred and I will be paying another labor charge. The service man spent half an hour arguing with me why I should have made it more clear upon purchase that I wanted appliances that would last! read more
