I'd like to discuss my experience living here. First, expect loud sounds frequently. Aircraft…read moreconstantly fly overhead. If you want to study, then understand that about twice a week this will be serenaded by jet aircraft low overhead. The fire alarms will also go off quite frequently. When people smoke in the parking garage, most commonly in summer, the whole building goes up. At the peak, this was biweekly. It's admittedly been some time since this happened, but I don't think it was for any reason other than the winter driving the smokers away. If something is broken it won't be fixed in a timely fashion. When my air conditioning failed in early July, it was not repaired until late August. The gym has been bereft of paper towels for months. The office doesn't respond to any inquiry for days, especially if you ask on a Friday or weekend. Picking up your mail is an ordeal. The office is open only from 10AM-3PM, and even then only for Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Posted and actual hours rarely overlap: they are usually there late and gone early, if countless meetings don't keep them. So if you have a class or work schedule that requires you to be present during those hours, you won't get your mail. Unless the office dumps the mail in the lobby. I've seen people grab packages from there. We're they the intended recipient? I don't know. On security, while there are cameras everywhere I've seen heroin needles in the stairwells, been harassed by panhandlers out front, and once broke into my apartment with a spatula. The actual living quarters are cramped. If you want to store your own possessions there, you're out of luck. I barely have room to walk around in my bedroom and I don't have that much stuff in there. I can imagine the triples or quadruple apartments can get quite loud too. The apartment is cheap and situated on a bus stop, but you can get much better living quarters in town for only a bit more money.

Spinner place is definitely a nice place to live. It is close to campus and only takes about 10-15…read moreminutes via bus to get to campus. All utilities are included with 24/7 gym access. Very communicative and responsive management team. Highly recommend! :)

I have lived here for almost 2 years and overall am happy…read more Pros: I think the management office handled the pandemic very well. They hired extra cleaners, discounted the rent and organized a reservation system for amenities. I have had a few minor issues with the apartment and the friendly maintenance staff are always there to fix it immediately. The grounds are well taken care of too and the landscaper does a beautiful job on the lawns and gardens. The apartment is super unique and has lots to offer. My favorites are the pool, gym, game room, business center. There are beautiful plants all around the building and the woman who cleans does an amazing job. The location is great and there are great restaurants, bars and coffee shops within walking distance. Cons: Heating costs are INSANE. The apartment is always freezing and we still pay around $150-$200 more in the winter (electric heat). The windows could use an update because so much cold air gets in. We really wish there was some outdoor seating! There are two broken down picnic tables. There are lots of grassy areas and we really wish there were a few patios around. They keep saying it's coming, but we haven't seen any progress yet. There was a coffee station which was one of the top reasons we moved in. (I know this is a weird thing to move in for, but we figured we could save a few grand on not buying coffee daily). They took it away at the start of the pandemic and said they won't be bringing it back. It is an old building and the walls are thin. If you have quiet, respectful neighbors like we do, it shouldn't be a problem, but It is something to be aware of! The pros definitely outweigh the cons and this is a wonderful place to live!!

The apartments desperately need to be updated with nasty carpet and kitchens that were bottom of the barrel 17 years ago. There is so much potential to make this a beautiful community with a bit of art, a coffee shop and residents lounge area / events. I look forward to the day this property is bought out, transformed, professional management is put in place and it lives up to the luxury potential that the Woolen Mill's bones could support. Management has no vision and are extremely unprofessional. Penny wise, pound poor.

Mountain View Property Services also builds decks under their decks and patios tab, which you can view here. https://www.mtnviewservices.com/deckspatios, and this is how I found them. My online consultation was great, and generally speaking the design aspect went well until it came time for material samples and timelines. That was when they stopped communicating, responding to emails, phone calls, or text messages. After my deck was demolished, they basically vanished, and after almost 2 months of no work being perform I had to terminate my contract, request my money back, and start over with a new contractor. Very unpleasant experience, and the owner has deferred any responsibility to this day.

Let's just say we moved in to a not so up to par apartment, but we moved out and left it 100x better than we found it. Promised to fixing things and never did or it would take constant calls and texts for him to come; those projects were never full finished. We made sure we would get our security deposit back, as my partner cleans and repairs housing so we knew exactly how to fix any small issues from normal wear and tear. It has now been 24 days since we moved out, I notified him on the 31st that we had moved out and cleaned. According to Vermont state law, he has 14 days to provide me with a statement of why he is not paying, or a check-- he has done neither. Multiple attempts via email, texts and phone and no response...
