Shout out to Freedom Nissan! And, an embarrassing confession about being stubborn. :(…read more First time driving a Nissan-love it! First time leasing-love that too! After decades of owning cars-mostly Prius to more easily drive around Northern VA, I decided to get an AWD when my last Prius needed to be replaced. I was convinced there was only one brand to look at-a non-Nissan brand. I am still kicking myself over my narrow view and stubbornness. I drove that non-Nissan for almost 2 years and then decided I did not want to continue making large payments for 4 more years so I started considering leasing. This change was scary for me. I am now driving a Nissan Kicks and I look forward to driving. It's fun! Plus, the car (Kicks SR) has all kinds of bells and whistles I would not have been able to afford in the other brand-the brand I stubbornly told my younger self I had to have. I never really looked forward to driving that other car-it didn't feel fun to me, but I was okay with that. Driving my Kicks reminds me of how much I really like to drive. I am so glad I finally found an open mind. Leasing a Kicks is pretty great! Thank you Samantha for being very patient in capturing my "must haves" and showing me several cars. And thank you Shain for making a typically confusing, impersonal, lengthy paperwork process more enjoyable. Together they helped me get a car and leasing deal that are a perfect fit for me!

DONT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP: My car buying experience…read moreshould have been straight forward and easy for any of the sales staff. I was pre-approved by my lender; I had researched the make and model of the car I wanted and was ready to purchase. Freedom Nissan in South Burlington, VT had a Mazda that I was interested in buying. This is my experience with this business. Treating me horribly was completely unnecessary. All they do is lie! 1. We sat down with Seth Quittner, who immediately wanted to know about our trade in. I told him that we were interested in test driving the Mazda. He went with us. We noticed the "Blind Spot Prominently Sensor" warning light was on. Seth stated that "it was common with heavy rain or snow" - he got calls about it all the time, no big deal". It was raining quite hard, so we didn't think much of it. That was a LIE! 2. Once I decided to buy the car, there was no negotiating the price. Seth makes it sound like he will take your offer and go back to the owner and ask if they can do it. It's a con game. I watched him do it with other customers. Instead, Kyle Nichols, the manager came out and I got shown a sheet of paper, which has a list of all the Mazda's in the area and they didn't even let me hold it to read it. I was told they have the best pricing. I had already vetted the car with my lender and the price was decent, but this tactic is what they do with everyone. 3. In order to complete the paperwork process, you get taken upstairs. Shain Quartz was being trained on the process by Kyle Nichols. Shain called me a day after I had signed my documents to tell me that he made an error and that I needed to drive back to their office and resign them. I asked him to email me the documents to show what changes he had made. Not only did he not email me, he sent my documents that he made changes to, without me knowing what they were on to my lender. That is illegal. When I spoke with Kyle Nichols about it, his response to me was "Shain is a nice person, he is being trained, how can you hurt his feelings? THAT IS WHAT THEY ALL DO; THEY DEFLECT FROM THE REAL ISSUE AND NEVER GIVE YOU A STRAIGHT ANSWER. 4. On the day I purchased the car, as I was leaving, I noticed the fob was broken. When I asked Seth if they could fix it, he told me they are "NOT A NISSAN DEALERSHIP", THEY ARE A SMALL BUSINESS and that fixing the fob would cost $75.00. I just purchased a car that was over $20,000.00 and they turned fixing the fob into a MAJOR ordeal. I went to Kyle Nichols, who is the manager. He agreed to replace the fob but I had to drive to the Mazda dealership in Montpelier to get it fixed. He paid them directly and I picked up the fob thinking that was the last interaction I would have with this business. I WAS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!! And I found out why I needed to go to the Montpelier location - Freedom Nissan is shady. 5. I made an appointment with the Burlington Mazda dealership to have the sensor looked at. Apparently, Freedom Nissan KNEW THE SENSOR WAS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED before they put it on the lot for sale. THEY KNOWINGLY SOLD ME A CAR WITH A SAFTEY ISSUE. They got an estimate, chose to put the part in themselves and never had it calibrated. The cause of the sensor not working was due to an accident, which was not disclosed on the car fax sheet. Seth told me it was due to rain! Mazda sold Kyle the part but could not confirm if they had installed it. This situation required me to text Kyle and ask him. Another tactic they use, is only wanting to talk to you on the phone, so nothing is in writing. The lies in our text conversation are mind blowing. Kyle: Freedom Nissan did not do the work on the car; we paid Mazda to repair it. LIE - We don't repair electronics on non-Nissans. We always do the right thing and pay the manufacturer. Another LIE! - I'm working on getting a copy from Mazda I'll report back. If we could chat on the phone real quick - I got a lot of info Me: It was looked at, not fixed at the Mazda dealership. Email it to me please, I was told by Mazda, Freedom Nissan did not complete having it fixed there. They need to know if you put in a new module somewhere else. And if you say you did, why wasn't it calibrated? Kyle: What does Mazda say needs to happen? I misread the internal notes looks like Mazda gave us the module to fix. Me: Are you saying Mazda gave you the part? Kyle: It appears we brought it to Mazda, they sold us a module, then our technician repaired it. Are they requesting for a calibration of this module? This review platform doesnt give me enough space to tell you the rest of the story... they refused to pay for the repair unless I signed a non disclosure / settlement document - I was yelled at - I was told by Mort Shipario that I needed to "Step Back about calling them liars". - which was a threat. I have never been subjected to such unprofessional, unethical, cons like this before - totally discusting.

I dropped it off and went to get a coffee bc there's no place to sit. I came back an hour later and discovered they somehow think that it's ok to charge $99 for a standard car oil change. That's $25 MORE than I've been charged at the dealership! And the dealership offers me cookies & coffee and has a nice place to sit. This is insane. Moreover, they didn't ask for permission to do a tire rotation, they just did one and charged $40 for that. In my experience it is customary for the tech to call and say, "hey this is what we found and what we recommend, what would you like us to do?" I had budgeted $75 and walked out paying $155. I don't know if their work is quality, but no oil change is worth twice the price. I can say I will never go back.

When it was hooked up after the summarization i realized they did not put on the drain plug, after they put it on i brought it home (short trip) and realized it was not even on tightly i pulled it right off with no effort. 3rd Recently bought a part since nobody else had it in stock, went to pick up and i asked to open it, was asked "do you not trust me?" most likely joking and i explained i wanted to see if it came with part number " NEOPRENE SEAL 293200134 " gasket/seal the end of wear ring to seal either the base or pump. was told there was no gasket/seal and was sent home. after pulling jetski apart and taking out the old wear ring as i expected there was a rubber gasket/seal that also needed to be replaced and ordered stalling riding for almost another week i would not recommend servicing, buying, or anything from these guys. even seen it go downhill since i've been around in 2020, just hire random kids from around town to wrench on equipment they sell. if you're looking for a new place to get serviced bring it to sportline in queensbury ny, AKA dax power sports

After so many years as a customer, I've consistently found them to be professional, reliable, and a pleasure to work with. But what has kept me coming back all these years is the personal side of the experience. They know their customers, they care about the relationships they've built and when it really matters, that shows. Marcie, Katie and Aimee in particular have been absolutely wonderful. They approach their work with kindness, empathy and genuine care for the people they work with. During a particularly difficult time for our family, they were incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and compassionate and truly went above and beyond. It meant more to us than they probably realize. So many years of renting through the same agency is probably the best recommendation that I can give. I am forever grateful for the way they have treated my family over the years and especially for the care they have shown us recently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I…read morehave had ONE good experience with them and the telephone support is generally very nice--and seem as helpful as they can be given their constraints--which is why I gave them 2 stars. Over the years we've frequently experienced troubleshooting and repairs taking 4 days or more. Most recent experience: internet went down SUNDAY night; called MONDAY and was put through to tech support (I am not the primary account holder and didn't have access to the account # or PIN, so providing the primary account holder's name, associated cell # and address got me past customer service). Based upon my feedback they needed to send somebody out--but NO NEED to come inside the home--and it would be complete by TUESDAY EVENING. There was a snowstorm that day and I got a voicemail informing me that they couldn't complete the service until close of business WEDNESDAY (perfectly understandable--glad they care about the safety of their employees). End of day Wednesday and internet was not fixed, had NOT received any telephone or email communication notifying of another delay, or reason for delay. THURSDAY, got a voicemail in the morning saying that everything external looked fine and they needed access to the home--and they were heading there NOW. Of course nobody was home because we HAD NO WAY OF KNOWING they were coming, so I called them back to let them know. Apparently if they can't enter the home on the first visit (again, we had no way of knowing that they would be coming, so of course we weren't home), they have to close the ticket and now we have to call tech support AGAIN--3 DAYS LATER and make another repair appointment. I called and this time I could NOT get through customer service to tech support b/c I didn't have the account # and PIN (even thought it wasn't a problem Monday). My partner who has that information has very few opportunities to make non-work calls during business hours, so as of right now I'm not sure when he will be able to get through and make ANOTHER repair appointment. I'm afraid that if we can't call before early afternoon they won't be able to send somebody until next week. That would make it a full week until they (hopefully) fix the problem. NOT ACCEPTABLE. And most of the problem is due to POLICIES that do not take the customer's needs into account. The employees always seem to do the best job that they are able. And employee reviews seem to show that they are treated pretty well. At least Consolidated is doing something right.

During the two years that Tom worked for me, I was mostly satisfied with his work. Our phone communication was always good; his email responsiveness, however, was not always the best. However, after my recent experience with him, which resulted in the termination of our working relationship, I must say I have come to question his judgement, integrity as well as accountability. Problems arose when I decided to raise the rent in one of my units this past summer and asked Tom to notify the tenants in spring. For months he assured me that everything was fine, the tenants had been notified and, when renewal time came, a new lease had been signed. However, after we failed to collect the new rent amount for several months in a row, I contacted my tenants, at which point it became clear that Tom had never pursued the lease renewal. Tom Rotella has let me down in a big way by failing to have my tenants sign an agreed upon lease renewal with a rent increase, which resulted in their tenancy becoming month-to-month as well as hundreds of dollars in lost revenue. Once I confronted him with the evidence and asked to see the lease, he stopped responding altogether. I wrote Tom one last email, giving him a chance to clarify and possibly rectify the situation. He has not responded to my email to this day. I therefore cannot recommend Tom Rotella to anyone looking for a reliable and dependable property manager.
