It looks horrible! When I told him I was not pleased with the work, he did not care at all. No glue, no clamps, no wood filler or stain, just nailed it. You can still see the splinter and it isn't even lined up correctly. He just kept telling me it was sturdy with the nails he put in it. I could have strapped a 2x4 to the leg and accomplished the same thing. Would have saved $185 he charged for his 5 minutes. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON! HORRIBLE!

What I picked up was a rough finish. I took it to him because he advertises custom furniture refinishing and refurbishment. And make no mistake, he is not inexpensive The stain was an ugly red tone. I asked him to tone down the red. He didn't know how because I found out he only uses canned finishes. Later I googled how to tone down red and within seconds pulled up several youtube videos. Swipe a canned product on after the fact, etc. I have never written a bad review before for anyone but clearly this guy has done bad work for others and I only wish they had reported. The fact that he did this was eclipsed by having to deal with him. Argumentative, spacey. This must be part time for him. You always have to meet him by appt, then he leaves. Be forewarned.
