Greens are horrible April 11 Saturday. Can't believe they're charging $83 for these greens and fairway conditions.

The manager was extremely rude and condescending when I spoke with him on the phone. I was told I could book a group tee time by someone working there on 2 different occasions, but to call back when the manager was in. When I called at a time when he was finally working he answered the phone and was extremely rude when I spoke to him. read more

This course has really gone downhill. I played here 6 weeks ago, and given that it was early spring, it was in decent shape then. Range balls are filthy - don't they ever wash them? Only 2 greens were actually GREEN - all others are just bare dirt with a few clumps of poa annua grass. And the fairways are just as bad ... there are washed out areas all over the course. No marshal on the course - our round was nearly 5 hours long. No water on the course. Mens' restroom in really nasty. One good thing: Their sausage sandwich is to die for. Save your money and your sanity - play elsewhere. I know the management will respond with "Sorry for your experience; we'll try to do better" ... I've seen their responses elsewhere. read more

course is in good shape, fairways and greens well maintained. $50 per round is a bargain compared to other plano and frisco courses. Decent food in Club house and friendly cart girls and pro shop. Restrooms in bad shape, haven't been cleaned in years. Try Twin Creeks or Frisco Farms if you need a nice range and clean Restrooms. read more

Worst course in the metroplex. Its a goat patch. First 9 greens have no grass to put on. Back 9 are in much better condition with alot more grass than bare spots. Fairways also have bare patches and lots of weeds. Not worth playing. No ball washers, no drinking water on the course. Save your money!! read more

Greens are washed out. Fairways were muddy. Even the range masks were muddy. Not a happy experience.

This course is absolutely terrible. I played it today and can't believe they charged me $83 for this trash. Greens are primarily sand and dirt with about 10% actual grass. The range is a total mess with worn out mats. Fairways are bad. Ground is hard. I've been playing golf for 58 years and have played a lot of courses. This is one of the worst! Only reason I played here is because it's the only tee time my son could get with short notice. (There's a reason we could still get a tee time here!) I will never play this course again. Have at it if you feel like wasting money. And, BTW, I was never offered a senior or veteran's discount. read more

The driving range was very nice here and easily accessible. When you get your bucket they have a box full of balls you fill it from. The greens were not very great though and looked like they cut corners during maintenance of the course. If they took better care of it would be a 5 star easily. read more

First of all, me n my wife are the member of this golf course. I called early this morning, make sure that the driving range is open before we get there. The guy answered the phone, he said range gonna open between 9:30~10:00, so we were there around 10:10. The guy answered the phone, he said 11:00. he told me that BS reason! also, last few times we were there tried hit some balls. The golf ball was muddy dirty and nasty whole time!!!!! Course is slowly improving. Greens are in best summer conditions. Still too much mud on most fairways and along cart paths. Carts are atrocious, most breaks don't work correctly and you can take your life in your hands with steering. Clubhouse bathroom is unfit for use. Never gets cleaned. Smells horribly!!!! Only course I know of that doesn't have water on the course. Snack cart is seldom in use. read more

This is the slowest course I have ever played there is no punishment to people who jump in between tee times. If you play this course prepare for a 7 hour round. read more

Last review I posted was two years ago. Things have not improved. The greens are in horrible condition. There's some weed that looks like crab grass all over the greens. On many of the greens there are sandy dead patches. The greens are fast, but if you have to put through a patch of the crab grass your ball will get deflected. Making a putt becomes random. But there are signs of decay everywhere. For some reason there were no water jugs on any hole. Flooded areas where there seems to be issues with sprinkler heads so they've just roped those areas off. The bunkers are in poor shape. I've heard that this place is for sale again. Whatever corporation that buys it needs to budget for closing and completely redoing the greens. I don't believe that these are salvageable. Sad. Very sad. read more

There are golf courses in far better shape that cost way less than $72 within 20 minutes of this course. Broken sprinkler lines all over the course make some of the greens unplayable. There's another broken sprinkler line that runs the length of the driving range. You can't get to the driving range without stepping into a puddle of Mudd. The customer service wasn't much better. When I pulled up and asked where the bag drop, was the cart barn attendant just said "oh just throw it in the grass and come get it after you park". Trash cans were all overflowing, and there was even laundry, hanging over the fences by the fairways. Really classy neighborhood. this course is not that old... You guys could do better. read more

Beautiful piece of property and a very nice layout. No tricked up holes. The greens are basically under repair, not able to putt. We made a try at birdie or par and then just counted 2 strokes for putting. Fairways and bunkers were in decent shape. One fairway had a carry over rock formations but not an issue with the landing area. They need to have pin placement colored flags. It was difficult to tell front/middle/back pin locations. Also needs water jugs and ball washers. We finally ran into a beverage cart around hole 14. This layout could be one of the best pubic courses in the area with new greens and more maintenance. Not sure that will ever happen. read more

Course is in brutal shape. There's more grass at on a muni course in the middle of a desert. Pin placements were in the most beaten up spots of each green. read more

Played Ridgeview this past Saturday and the greens are terrible. We almost went to automatic two putts. It's ashamed but very obvious that the owner isn't putting any money into this facility. The mats on the driving range are totally worn out. The fairways are sparse, need punched and fertilized. The sad thing is this could be a really good and fun track if the right people owned it. The course was full, play was slow and owner is probably of the mindset of not spending any money unless people quit playing it. Honestly, it worth about $25 to play. I play another public course every Sunday which posts signs that say this is a four hour round course and that's exactly what it takes to play. read more

Play here a lot just because I like a lot of the hole layouts. The greens could use more water or love but there's plenty of courses struggling with greens at this time of year even with all the rain. Nice practice area as well. read more

I find this to be a really fun course. The only drawbacks to me are the 9th fairway runs along beside the driving range & if you hit on or past the left side finding your ball can be a challenge. The other is while I like the gas carts, you have to be aware because I've had a few low on fuel and some that are crazy slow. Funny to me how some comments complain about course conditions, the weather is a big factor. As long as I'm not in fairway hitting off dry dirt or playing greens that are terrible it's just course personality to me. Also the range has the shot tracking you can download if you like. read more

Played today with our small group of seniors and course conditions are not good at all. Sketchy ultra thin fairways. Bare ground on 50% of fairways. Greens are so, so at best. No drinking water anywhere on the course. Would not recommend at all. With these conditions, it is a $20. goat pasture course. Pay more than that and you have been robbed! read more

Ridgeview Ranch is a fun layout and is a good course to play when conditions are good. However, that is not the case now. The course is in ragged condition with very uneven rough and numerous bare spots. Some of this is no doubt due to the horrendous heat and dry conditions, but it is quite obvious that ownership was not investing much in course maintenance before the hot weather hit. Possibly the worst transgression of the ownership is their refusal to place water coolers around the course. It would be extremely easy to suffer a heat stroke on this course on the back nine, so play at your own risk or bring gallons of water to get you through. Ridgeview Ranch, your competitors all have water on the course - why don't you? read more

Unbelievable how far this course has slipped since I last played. The greens are not only loaded with poi annua, but they look as though they haven't been aerated for a long time which has left them like concrete. The fairways aren't being watered, there was no drink cart (during Spring break, no less), there's no drinking water AT ALL out on the course, and only two porta johns for the entire course (both together...). read more

Played on 6/15/23. Very disappointing what this course has become. Used to be a great facility years ago, but now it's a cow pasture. Greens should be called browns or bares. Golf cart needed to be junked. Lack of maintenance is pretty obvious across the board. Definitely avoid. Better choices out there. read more

If I could give a zero.....HORRIBLE condition. Do not waste your money. 2 out of 18 greens did not have 80% fungus.

Course is in terrible shape. Greens and fairways are "grass less" and corse gives you no warning of the conditions.

I had to give this place 1 star because it makes me select at least one. This course is way overpriced and in horrific shape. I wanted to head back to to get a refund after hole three, but the rest of my group talked me out of it! I should not of listened to them and got my money back. Not sure how this place stays open! I played the course on May 20, 2023. This is the worst conditioned course that I have played in 40 years of golfing without the clubhouse warning you beforehand. The greens were horrible, fairways bad, no yardage markers on the cart paths, yardage markers in the fairways difficult to find and no gps in the carts. I would play for $30- $35 but definitely not the $72 that they are charging. read more
