Legacy Hill Farm

An absolutely stunning place for a wedding! Came here for an October wedding, and I absolutely fell…read morein love with the rustic farm vibe. The little barn houses, the field, everything was inviting and elegant, yet rustic and homey. The outdoor ceremony area was also great, with benches set up, a beautiful gate for the married couple to walk in through, etc. The staff were super atttentive and friendly. My only gripe was that they did not seem well equipped to handle super cold weather (there were some blankets) but the ceremony was super chilly and I wish the heat was turned on more in the dining area.

As a guest (part of the bridal party) at Legacy Hill Farm, I was impressed with the venue! When…read moredriving up the road, all that can be seen is a house with a small sign on the gate but we quick saw that there was a lot more waiting just over the hill. I had arrived early to get ready at the bridal suite which was in one of the little buildings. It had the restrooms inside on the first floor & the bridal suite on the second. There were only three of us bridesmaids, but even with others stopping in to see the bride, there was plenty of room to get ready. The best part was that there was a lot of natural lighting & lots of mirrors for us to use. I didn't see the grooms suite but there was a separate building for that as well! The wedding ceremony area had luscious grass with seating benches for the guests & big wooden doors for a grand entrance. It was nice for the wedding party to be able walk down & then have a pause (with doors closed) as the bride stepped up for her entrance. The reception was then held inside the big barn building just off to the side from the ceremony. The space was large with wooden tables & chairs set up for guests. Although we didn't use it, there was a firepit next to the building for use as well! Drinks & appetizers were served before the reception started at the side barn building. It was just a few feet away from the main reception. My favorite though, was the barn space that was first seen when entering the venue from the parking lot. Our friends had opted to utilize it for photos to put inside the guest book! Overall, a cute venue. Since I was a guest, I don't know any of the logistics of touring / reserving the space but my friend (the bride) did say that they're booked up pretty much every weekend!

The Barns Of Lost Creek

Just had my wedding at The Barns of Lost Creek on Saturday and it was fabulous! Mell & Don (the…read moreowners) are absolutely incredible. Not only is the venue itself so cool and unique, but it comes with the help from these two wonderful humans. Mell & Don go above and beyond to make your day flow. She took care of setting out our cocktail hour food, helped transfer decor from the dining hall to the barn after dinner, kept the water dispenser full all night, etc etc. They were so accommodating! If you have your wedding here, please consider tipping them; they're basically built in day of coordinators. As for the venue, everything is in one place; large field for the ceremony, a dining hall, and a barn for dancing. There is two "getting ready buildings with air conditioning: one for the guys & one for the girls. Our photographer (Abby Dominguez) had a hoot with our photos because the venue is so beautiful she had many places to take gorgeous photos. We didn't need to overdue decorations because the place is already so cute and rustic! Lastly, the venue accommodates catering in food & beverages. With that being said, you can save TONS of money. We got all of our alcohol from Costco and saved a fortune. Anything unopened we returned and got our money back. We are SO happy we choose this venue!!!!!

Rustic themed barn weddings are all the rage it seems these days (thanks, Pinterest). I recently…read moreattended my friends wedding here - my 1st barn wedding--check that off my list! The space is charming, wide open, & a scenic hours drive from the twin cities through packers country (boo). Unfortunately for my friends, Mother Nature did not cooperate for their wedding bringing rain, wind, & temps in the mid 40's. That'd be fine for an indoor wedding, but cold temps & this rustic barn were a bad combo. The barn is bare bones, no insulation, the gaps between the wood boards easily let wind in. It was freezing inside even w/ 100 people crammed in. Fortunately, the best man was able to talk the owners into allowing a few outdoor heaters inside (after much pleading). Despite the cold, the space was enjoyed by all. The staff did an awesome job w/ decorating, & tearing down/setting up the ceremony & dinner reception & were prompt to clear up empty glasses & dishes. On a nicer day, there's a fire pit out back & yard games that are included in the price of the rental.

What a fantastic community space and outdoor recreation center! Totally makes winter in Minnesota…read moreeven better. I'm new to discovering The Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Regional Park, but believe me when I say I'll be back many more time. In the winter, they offer cross-country skiing and lessons. (You can rent a full set of gear for about $30- no need to have your own to experience skiing! They also have à la carte options for cheaper if you only need poles or boots, etc.) Besides skiing, outdoor winter activities also include snow tubing, snowboarding, snowshoeing.... You name it. (I haven't been in fall or summer yet, but I also hear great things about their mountain biking and trail running options.) Inside The Trailhead, there's food and drink concessions, ample seating, lockers, bathrooms, and even rooms for rent. The last time I was there, a family was hosting a young child's birthday party in the multi-purpose room. Altogether, there is an amazing assortment of services here to come and check out. Can't wait for next ski season!

The building is a perfect space for bringing a large group together for games, chatting, eating, and sledding on the snowy hills just outside the doors. They used to serve hot food, but they no longer have that option. The food was not consistent or anything all that special, but it was a nice option. This time we brought Thanksgiving leftovers and some breakfast bagel sandwiches. The space is well maintained and clean. It is spacious and has lots of room for young kids to run around and not be a disturbance. Always look forward to coming here.
