We were able to take a golf cart to take photos on the golf course which was so fun, the food was incredible, and the deck was a crowd favorite hangout spot at night. Everything was set up when we got there, so decorating could begin immediately and staff was always around to answer questions or help. I highly recommend the Skyroom!

The food selection was minimal, and the quality and presentation were mediocre. The only dish that was excellent was their risotto stuffed peppers. It was prepared well and was delicious. After making a few adjustments to the menu offering, we completed our selection, expecting to get the food we selected and paid for on the wedding day. However, that did not happen. When the food was served at the wedding, the spaghetti was cold, and the risotto stuffed peppers were made with quinoa, not risotto; the dish had zero flavor and was inedible. Additionally, the other meal selection, spaghetti, was served cold, and as I observed the room, many of the guests pushed their plates away after only a few bites of both meals. The third meal we chose was chicken. That was the only meal the guests mentioned they enjoyed. My husband and I were highly disappointed with the catering at the Skyroom and very frustrated at the catering company, which charged us for meals that were misrepresented at the tasting and served cold. We are also disappointed at Skyroom for not offering another catering option or allowing us to hire a caterer with a better food selection, primarily since they did not deliver what was promised. The Skyroom is a beautiful facility for a wedding, but unless they change their caterer or offer another option, I would think twice about having a wedding at this facility.

A family…read morefriendly event that displays so many old buildings that were destined for destruction but instead restored and preserved and now shared with the public one weekend a year. This event has fun at every turn from parades to broom making demos to craft vendors to home made treats. The food vendors were reasonably priced and the whole event was well put together. If you go, visit their Facebook page and study up on the details. You may want to rent a golf cart for half the day as the property is very large. Also be aware of the event calendar so you can see those things you were there for. Plan on several hours to be able to explore and enjoy. This is a great event for seniors as so many were telling stories of their childhood memories in these buildings or similar locations. Kids under 12 are free and they have bouncy houses and activities set up for them. Bring your motorheads too as so many old cars are on display. Mark your calendar now and plan ahead. You will be glad you came!

There was rock grinding, a man sawing cedar logs and I got a free red cedar slab which smells heavenly. There are vendors and flea market sellers selling antiques, etc. There are shuttles and tractor wagons if walking isn't your thing. Advice for them: have your flea market towards the parking lot. People don't purchase stuff if they have to carry it around all day. You did get a wrist band so you could trek it to your car and return. I got a locker basket for $5 and used it to carry the red cedar slab. There were also cedar wood signs with log village slow burned into them for $1 donation. Remember the park is only open once a year to the public. The last weekend in July. Weddings, photo sessions, are arranged on their website. Hope to be back next year.
