Charming "old style" luncheonette with counter stools. Great, fresh cooked food. Ambience + tasty + good prices = a real gem!

This store has been bought out by Walgreen's Drug Stores and is now run under that name. This…read morestore has a convenient location and has a good selection of items. However it has a very bad problem at check out. The first problem is that several of the checkout clerks are very slow and seem to only work at this one speed, regardless of how many people are in line. However, the biggest problem is the pricing. It is very common for the shelf price not to match up with the checkout price, especially on items that are for sale and/or clearance. You need to watch very carefully as each item is rang up. However, once you discover that something is not priced correctly this then sets off a chain reaction of events which begins with the over the intercom price check. After the entire line comes to a grinding stop and the cashier calls several more times for a price check some clerk, who would rather be anywhere else, will appear, and is equally as slow as the cashier begin his/her search for your item on the shelf. This will usually result in them coming back several times to say that they cannot find the item. At this point, if you still care, you must take the clerk to the shelf and show them the price that it should be. By now the line is wrapping around the store and everyone looks like they want to do you bodily harm. The voiding of the sale and eye rolling will now begin... I would advise that you only shop here if you don't care what price you are going to be charged and are under no circumstances in a hurry!

I find it odd at 8:00 at night their phones are that slammed. If they are, maybe have more than one person in the pharmacy working.

This has got to be the worst Walgreens I've been to. I almost passed it to begin with the way my…read moregps was set up but it's on a corner. It looked dingy and I even saw a roach on the floor. There was only one cashier on a Sunday morning which was dreadful because of the line. He was friendly enough. I found what I needed so no complaints there and even the guard was doing his own thing walking outside then coming in to sit looking at his phone. Weird vibe. Should I come into town again, I won't come here.

I went to the pharmacist counter with some cough drops, COVID-19 tests, and other remedies to buy, and tried to buy some Sudafed. The pharmacist told me I couldn't buy any of the non-pharmacy stuff there and had to buy it up front. Okay? Odd. When trying to buy the Sudafed their system went down when processing my DL. I asked if he could try it again and he said no. I left feeling very defeated because I was sick, in an unfamiliar city, and no other pharmacies nearby were open yet. I had already taken a Lyft to get here. I decided to go back inside to the pharmacist and asked where the nearest pharmacy was. The same pharmacist told me there was one at the university of Maryland, but it wasn't open to the public. !?! THANKS. During that time another very nice pharmacist had come in, took pity on me, and offered to try processing my DL again so I could get the Sudafed. This time it worked and I was incredibly grateful for her kindness. Finally, to top it all off, I bought a sealed bag of cough drops here and when I got back to my hotel, I opened it to find that some of the sealed cough drops actually had no cough drops in the packets. I basically bought a bag of empty cough drop packets. FML. Baltimore, you did me dirty this trip!!
