We had eight family members visit from abroad and we decided to move out of our house to give them some space and a little privacy. We moved into my son's RV and took up residence at Westlake Resort. It was a lifesaver for my wife and myself. After many busy days at our home with our visitors we were able to come back to this park in the evening for much needed rest and quietness. The RV was alongside the lake and it was so peaceful there just to sit and watch the dogs go for their walks along the bayou and to see a family of ducks in the lake grow over the three weeks we were there till they took flight. A wonderful sight to see. The campground itself was excellent, It is kept to really good standards, It was lovely and quiet, very very clean with many amenities which I was sorry not to have had the time to have taken advantage of. After our visitors left for trip back home, we were a little disappointed to have had to leave the resort to go back to living in our house, but I know for sure if my wife of 56 years ever leaves me I will know where to find her. The laundry room is nice with professional size machines. And they even have ones dedicated for pet laundry so you don't have to worry about getting fur on your clothing. The machines do not take money, you pay either by card at the kiosk or by downloading the app, which is actually awesome as it lets you follow the time left....pure genius in my book! I did meet a few people while in there and every one of them were extremely friendly and had been there for a long time. They had nothing but good things to say about it so that in itself makes me feel like I made the right choice. It is an Adult centered resort so there are no children running around all hours, not that I have anything against them, but when I'm glamping I want to enjoy the peace and sounds of nature. That's all I have for now, but will update after I've had a chance to actually do something other than laundry.

At this monthly price, you really won't find anything more conveniently located to Houston. Sure, the amenities are not what you might request of an RV resort like the large one down South but for the monthly rate it's hard to complain about WiFi. For the record, most long-term tenants have their own internet access here which Comcast and others happy to provide a direct drop for. Water and power are billed at a fair rate based on actual use. Billing is straightforward, electronic and predictable - I never have to worry about "surprise" charges or rate changes. The park is nestled with only an entrance off a residential street and we're never bothered by through traffic. The neighbors are all kind and respectful. If you are living in an RV for an extended period of time but want proximity to downtown, this is the place to be.

I was at Lakeview for 4 1/2 years and Northlake for 3 1/2 years and even when the office was closed we could still get ice and enjoy the amenities of the rec center. Today, Easter was very disappointing to find the rec center was closed. Makes me wonder if all holidays are like this. Thank you for responding to my concerns. I have changed my rating to a 5 star because of your prompt response. I look forward to the next holiday when I can still enjoy the amenities.

We had issues with mail, propane, our door opening onto another site door space, late office opening and a different vibe altogether. One example...This morning we arrived at 815am for a propane fill. I had called the evening before to confirm it would be available because it wasn't before. I was told he would be open at 730am. At 815 he was sitting at his computer and needed to "finish his reports" before filling our motorhome because he had already done his fills. Asking him how long it would be he said "a little while". I asked if he meant 10 min or an hour and he said "45 minutes" and acted put out. We left to get our propane on our travels. We usually spend a month each year plus occasional weekends here. No more. Too bad.

While we were there, the adjacent property had construction equipment running all day, and they were tearing down trees along the water's edge outside the park fence and leveling the ground. Our site was on the East side backed up to the property under construction. The noise didn't bother us too much as it was mostly during the day. I walked my leashed pup around the park a few times a day. They had pet clean up stations around the park to pick up after your pet. There was a pavilion with BBQ grill that you could use, as well as a playground for the kids. They also had a pool up by the office inside a gated area with rules posted. It was a good stop on our trip and I may return again if I'm in the area.

We had to deal with her personally, she is extremely RUDE and disrespectful. Once she leaves (soon) and stops making us feel uncomfortable since she is our neighbor we will really feel at home here!! This place is nice, clean and new. As for price, it is the cheapest you can find with the amenities they provide such as a nice and clean laundry room, concrete pads and a pond for fishing.
