But they were charged 350... assuming it was a misunderstanding we paid because my parents needed to park so I could talk to the owner next day. Well I finally got to speak to one of the rudest people I've probably ever delt with, and he informed me that it's 50 a night and the weekly rate only applies if you stay more than 10 days... I said to him... I don't think a week means what you think it means, but he asked if I knew where he's been all day and I said... no, do you know where I have been all day? He yelled at me and hung up.... So anyways. Don't recommend staying here haha. The host was super nice but the owner informed me that he was going to bitch her out for not handling this herself and apparently he did because my wife got a text from her saying as such. She was awesome really, but the owner is a piece of work. This place also operates under the alias "brazos river retreat rv" as well. Either way, such a waste because it's a nice spot, but wow the owner... sad.

Aug 2015: $26/night…read more Called him at the last minute and he confirmed a space. He led us on 3 wheeler to a spot since there is no map and no numbered spaces. Cranked up antenna to get stations at Pueblo and Colorado Springs. Super nice guy. There were many trees and routes around them and it was pretty quiet. Restrooms/showers and laundry room were great. Full hookups were super easy. No pool but good views of the area (and prairie dogs). Coyote sang one night. Highway nearby not nearly as noisy as other parks. Park had signs on the highway and was easy to find. Many permanent campers due to no housing in Colorado but he keeps spaces open for actual travelers.

I Initially moved here for work and paid…read morefor a month rent after only a few days I found out that I was going to be in a different location so I asked for my security deposit back and to prorate my monthly advancement to get a refund on what was owed back to me. The owner instead of telling me no, lied and said he would mail me a check. After weeks I contacted him again and he once again said he would mail me a check. He never mailed a "check" nor did he even know my name to do so in the first place. He stole over 400 dollars from me. Very dishonest and sketchy place. Would not recommend to anyone !!!

The beautiful towering Live Oaks gives it a nature feel and the trees are maintained well. Close to beaches without that sandy feel. Close to town within/ 10 minutes, of show,shopping,and excellent restaurants. I even had my groceries delivered out here from HEB( so you know it's close to town). The AT&T coverage, is 5 bars. The Wifi is over the top and not the usual spotting reception that is usually at RV parks. It is maintained with sprayers , every few weeks for bugs, the grounds are maintained by professional movers, so it kept top notched. As previous owners of a RV park, i know what to tune into, and i will proudly give Live Oak RV park a 5 start rating.

Sites are immaculate with lush, green grass surrounding the concrete pads. Chris and Bunnie were very attentive, but never intrusive. Chris even came over after hours to check us in and even helped us back into our spot (we're newbies)! There's no where else that can compare, Lazy Pelican is where you'll find us from now on when we visit Crystal Beach!!

They have a restroom, shower, and complimentary laundry facility while you stay. The park is walking distance to the beach - a huge bonus. They have a covered area to hang out in, and there has been a few small gatherings with music from other campers to end a great beach day. Everyone is respectful of quiet hours and each others belongings. We couldn't imagine our beach vacation anywhere else!

I didn't get to use any of the amenities and or check out any local restaurants because I was visiting family and was there most of the time. Overall, I definitely do and would recommend this RV park for you stay and I will if visiting the area again will be back . Keep up the good work. I must say, I really really enjoyed the heavy rain on Friday I miss that. We don't get that type of rain in AZ.

I've only just begun my stay here and I'm already in love with the place…read more Today was my first day, which was spent doing laundry....ugh! The laundry room is nice with professional size machines. And they even have ones dedicated for pet laundry so you don't have to worry about getting fur on your clothing. The machines do not take money, you pay either by card at the kiosk or by downloading the app, which is actually awesome as it lets you follow the time left....pure genius in my book! I did meet a few people while in there and every one of them were extremely friendly and had been there for a long time. They had nothing but good things to say about it so that in itself makes me feel like I made the right choice. It is an Adult centered resort so there are no children running around all hours, not that I have anything against them, but when I'm glamping I want to enjoy the peace and sounds of nature. That's all I have for now, but will update after I've had a chance to actually do something other than laundry.
