Nice area to play baseball and kids friendly playground that clearly states that parents must be supervising the kiddies at all times . There is a elementary school steps from the park which is closed now due to the coronavirus mess which explains no little brats running around. Not a big park but it's spacious enough for folks to bring the kids , play a little baseball , have a no grilling picnic or just enjoy being outdoors when weather permits .

Amazing place! Such a great park…read more I was looking for a place with water views and found the Scenic Hudson Park. It was such an incredible find! The park is large with lots of benches and space to sit or lay right on the water. There is lots of shade; there are many, many trees here. There is a new basketball court, flowers, benches, places to play and lay in the grass, etc. I love this place! It was quiet and refreshing. I would most definitely come back here!

Another heads up, you can only assess this beauty from the north-bound lane. I honestly don't know how big VE is, but we cut our 4 mile walk on the path short just because it was so humid. But based on VE's info, the park goes further south into Yonkers and north into Hawthorne (maybe further up?). VE is a big-enough park with an easy path, a pond and open grassy areas. There are also some picnic tables past the entrance, where you can enjoy your meal and you can take in a cute view of a waterfall by the pond. As far as COVID is concerned, folks on either side of the path- whether walking, running or bike riding- ALL kept their masks! If you're looking for an intense hike- count this one out. And if tranquil is something you're after, with an easy stroll, VE is very doable.

While the camp does a good job of teaching - there were some issues. First issue was the fact that…read morethere is no running water to refill your bottles so dehydration is a possibility in the plus 90 degree heat of July. Second issue was that they only have porta potties - not ideal during a plus 90 degree day. And lastly - the older campers are very quick to bully the younger (weaker) kids. My son was threatened with violence because the campers were made to run cause he broke a batting tee during drills. The staff doesn't care about any of these issues - they have a "not my job" attitude that really turned me off. I think it's ironic that the same people that complain that kids aren't playing baseball anymore will break the spirit of those kids that DO want to play baseball.

Pierson is also a nice park that has some tennis and basketball courts there, but back to Losee Park. I returned this weekend to take some photos of the bridge and sunset. I was pleasantly surprised to find the actual park (Losee). There are a few large parking lots. The signs posted prior to entry have a bunch of rules and regulations about parking, but weekends seem to be free for all to park. There were a two baseball fields there. I noticed there were a few cookouts going on there as well. An overall great experience. I left just as the sun was going down, but I hope to return for some evening pictures of the bridge. The views of the Hudson River and the Tappan Zee bridge are spectacular, especially at sunset. I also had a tired fiance and 4 year old, so I did not get to explore much, I will be sure to do so and report back once I have done so. As with any park near water, be mindful of the bugs, you will get bitten.

I saved my ticket to my apple wallet but apparently it didn't have a bar code so I recommend just saving it in your ticketmaster app. There were plenty of ushers to show to your seat. The prices for concessions was reasonable. The line for the bar was very long but I got a surfside from Nathans that was $9. Overall good experience. When the event was over they made an announcement that everyone had to leave even though we were told there would be a ceremony. I parked on a side street across from the venue since there were long lines to get into the metered lots.

Harts Brook Park & Preserve is a wonderful place to go with or without your dogs! Given our…read moreconcerns for safety and social distancing, we were delighted to only see one or two other people as we followed a nap and enjoyed walking on easy to traverse trails. While this isn't a park to have a picnic , in fact they ask you not to bring food and certainly not to litter! Since this was our first time at the park, we ate our sandwiches in our car and them went for a lovely hike!
