There's an area for younger kids, and an area for older kids; and both sections have robust options. (That's not always the case!) There's also ample shade here. I cannot stress how delightful that is, especially in the summer. There's an area of musical instruments, which I've seen at a handful of other playgrounds, but, again, it's in pretty great shape here. The sand area is relatively clean. At least for now! It's also close to downtown in case you have any errands you need to do on your way.

There are musical instruments, swings and multiple structures to climbs, as well as a small sand park area. Many of the structurs have ages printed on them. I would suggest that parents definitely watch smaller kids on some of the structures so they don't hurt themselves. There's a structure with rolling pieces and I would definitely see a kid falling and hurting themselves or getting a finger pinched while moving across. The swingset has swings for different stages and abilities which I love. People form the community gave back to build this wonderful park and it's a great addition to the neighborhood. Be careful walking across the street. The multiple stop signs make drivers impatient and they speed up almost as if to scare you out of the way, despite rushing to another stop sign.

My church held its annual family day cookout on a beautiful Saturday morning and afternoon. The park ingress and egress demand good bus drivers at a few tight corners within and just outside the park. Tibbetts has plenty of parking to accommodate a large number of visitors and the bathhouse is as much a draw as the rest of the park. The pool features a few sections with different tiers outside the pool for lounging and families gathering. It's not all concrete, rather many of the lounge areas are covered in AstroTurf, which makes for a more relaxed and comfortable surface upon which to lay towels and blankets. The restrooms are kept clean, but they have a rather heavy duty check-in for access to the bathhouse. They are controlled by park employees and park police. The pool access fee is $12pp for non-Yonkers residents, even if you think you have a different understanding for group access. Many of our church members were turned away, unless they paid the individual fee. The park employees regularly removed the trash in the vicinity of our family day outing and wherever other groups gathered. They are setup well to handle large groups at Tibbetts Brooks Park. 3.8 stars!

Unfortunately, instead of greeting us when we walked in, he immediately raised his voice to point out that we had entered through the exit. Both doors are right next to each other, lead to the exact same place, and there was absolutely no line, so the way he addressed us felt completely unnecessary. Throughout the interaction, his attitude came across as extremely passive-aggressive, unprofessional, and immature. What stood out even more was how differently he treated other customers compared to us. As a regular customer, I was very disappointed by the way we were spoken to and treated. Customers should be made to feel welcomed and respected, regardless of the situation.
