As you can tell I love coming to Cyclebar thanks to my favorite instructor Natalie who is pictured…read morein the primary photo for this place with me. Why do I love Cyclebar? I feel like Cyclebar is like getting away from everything that just seems to be negative and stressful in my life and turns it around for 45, 60 or 75 minutes depending on the type of ride I do that day. What is my favorite ride at Cyclebar? I would have to say the Performance ride is the best ride, because it challenges me to be the best version of myself and really motivates me to do better every time I take it. What is the classic ride? The classic ride is 45 minutes of riding to the RPM the instructor tells you and also uses the weight bar, it is not heavy stats like the performance ride is. Onto the performance ride, it does not use the weight bar and uses the stats to get the riders to ride longer to intervals like hills, etc. Next is the connect ride, that is another ride similar to the classic but with a bit of a twist where the instructor can throw in anything like higher RPM's, etc. Finally, there is the endurance ride. It took me about half a year to get to that stage. The endurance ride challenges you for 75 minutes on the bikes with hills, intervals, and everything you might imagine to be able to endure on a bike. If your training for a Peletonia, this is your best bet! Why do I love my instructors? My instructors really motivate me no matter how I'm feeling that day. Their words can transform your worst work day into a beautiful and nice end to your long day. I think of Cyclebar as my, "home away from home." The instructors and staff are truly like family to me. I would highly recommend it to anyone from beginner to expert rider level.

So WELCOMING! I was visiting cbus and had to get my Cycle…read morefix. The owner welcomed me as well as the front desk. I didn't have shoes with SPD clips and didn't want to ride in sneakers so they FOUND me some shoes with SPDs! I was SO GRATEFUL! -first class free -eucalyptus towels at the end -beautiful studio -fun lighting inside the cycle room -Joanne was the Instructor and she was so sweet! She helped me clip in because I was a hot mess . -the other riders were also very fun and nice The pricing is also very reasonable for a high end boutique studio! The leaderboard was kinda cool, but I'd also like to know where I ranked at the end of class and the bikes aren't listed at the end in order of total score/total power. You can figure it out by just looking at the other riders on the board so it's no biggie ILL BE BACK!

When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by the people at the front desk who let you know your bike assignment. If you sign up online you can pick your bike and make sure you're next to your friends! The lockers match up with the bike numbers and there's always lovely candles burning in the lobby making it smell amazing. The studio itself is well designed with great wall murals and a disco ball. The lights are off during the workout and the disco ball and black lights are turned on giving it more of a club like atmosphere, especially since the music is blasting. I fully believe some of the instructors work as DJ's on the side... The workout is great, you can tailor the intensity and the performance board makes it easy to see how you're doing compared to everyone else in the class. The instructors incorporate light dumbbells and resistance bands into the workout so you're working much more than just your legs. They send out a workout summary email after the class as well so you can see how you did. I will say though that I don't think their calorie count is accurate, it seems a little high each time for a 45 min workout... After the workout you leave the studio with a wet, scented towel in hand to cool off. Note that the studio is freezing so you'll want a sweatshirt when you first go in, especially if you're early, but you will quickly work up a sweat once the class starts. Towels are also provided during the class. There are drinking fountains outside the room or you can purchase a water bottle for $2. The parking lot isn't huge, so you'll want to get to class early to get a parking spot, most of the classes get pretty full.

The instructor who taught the class before mine stayed behind to help me set up my bike ! I've taken classes from Annie and Desiree , and also chatted at length with Suzie who was working the morning I took my second class. All of them seem to love what they do and have been trained very well in the method. Some cycle studios that do choreography go all crazy with the movements , but I felt safe during the entire class . The cold eucalyptus towels , free water bottles and writing new peoples' names on lockers is a nice touch! Tracy, one of the managers, also stayed and chatted with me after my classes and answered all my questions about cyclebar . From beginning to end it really is a great experience and the Columbus fitness scene is really stepping it up . My only gripe is that there aren't showers but the bathrooms have lots of body wipes, face wipes, deodorant and other amenities so it isn't the end of the world! Also first week FREE for new clients! BOOM.

Just a warning- I should have reviews about this business. Very consumer unfriendly! I cancelled…read moremy membership and still had 3 rides that I had bought. I joined in January, 2018 and am able to visit any location. Polaris is closest, and I love their walking track and resistance weight machines. I recently started taking a water aerobics class on Thursday nights, and my dad and I also do some open swimming when classes aren't offered. I feel like for all that's available and the minimal monthly payment, there's quite a bit of bang for your buck. People keep mentioning how disgusting this place is. From what I see, it's the actual clientele who are to blame! Paper towels not making it to the trash can, machines not being wiped off after each use, etc. Pick up after yourself! But, this unfortunately happens everywhere. They do have a cleaning staff, but I'm pretty sure they are after hours. I, myself don't want someone cleaning up around me while I'm trying to workout. "Excuse me, can you move while I run this vacuum?" Anyway, they have shorter hours than other gyms, but still convenient enough. The staff is friendly and they have an app for the Apple Watch, which I think is very convenient for quick check in. There is a women's area with weight machines, for the more reserved. There is a complete schedule of fitness classes and tuition is included in your membership. There is a sauna in each locker room, and the pool is a short course, so 1/2 size to Olympic. Swimmers are always very courteous with sharing lanes to accommodate everyone. All in all, I love being a member here. I split my time between here and another gym because the amenities are different and it gives me the variety I need.

Last Wednesday, my friend and I signed up for the 3 day pass at your 2100 Polaris Parkway location, in Columbus Ohio. We went and were greeted by Tyler who at first introduction seemed very kind. My friend and I worked out and loved the gym. Tyler told us he would be sending up offer emails, and to expect prices to go up by Monday, as "the gym is switching back to LA Fitness." We saw this as a ploy to get us to sign up faster, but it didn't deter us from joining. The plan was to use our 3 day passes and then sign up. Tyler called me on Friday, I explained to him that I haven't had a chance to come in, but we were very interested and I would sign up through the offer email. Later that night, I attempted to sign up with my American Express card. I received an error on the next page. I retried with my routing and account information, signed the documents, and went on with my busy weekend. The following Monday (4/1) I walk in and attempt to give my phone number because I haven't received a badge. To my surprise I'm not found in their system. Tyler takes me and my friend back to his office and says that he told us to sign up within the timeframe, as prices would increase. I explain to him that I had. He then asks to check my browser history, as if I'm lying. I show him, which proves I was in fact on the website and received the error and continued to re-attempt. He continued to question my search history and stated that if my search history had shown thecorrect URL that he would have been able to honor the price. My friend and I both questioned the point of the browser history interrogation, and explained in detail exactly what happened: that I signed up, received the error, and retried, but something must have gone wrong. We asked that he please honor the price as it was a system error and not a human one. He continues to badger us, and tells me I should've come in if I had issues. Again, had I known the system wouldn't process the signup, I would've come in; it was a complete surprise that it did not process. This goes on for about 10 minutes. Where I feel he is completely chastising us, and accusing us of lying, and he offers the jump in price of $29.99. I tell him it's not about the $5 difference. It is about his treatment of us. That I'm extremely uncomfortable by the confrontation, and because of his conduct, that I'm leaving and signing up for another gym. As we are walking out, he proceeds to call us clowns and walks away. My friend and I are in disbelief. I have never in my life been treated so disrespectfully by a staff member, let alone a manager. All for voicing our concerns. I am dumbfounded and chose to walk out. Again, because I don't like confrontation. Because he called us "clowns", my friend asks to speak to the Gym manager who is on a phone call at the main front desk. She waits. All while Tyler is throwing a temper tantrum right there behind the front desk, in front of all the incoming customers, loudly complaining about the altercation and making snide comments about us, all the while my friend is still waiting for the manager and is standing right there, just two feet away, overhearing all of it. That it itself is unbelievably unprofessional. His manager, who is still on the phone with a customer, motioned for him to stop (multiple times), but he continued. This went on for 10 or more minutes. There were two other colleagues who were there and can attest to this behavior. I am appalled that someone like this is in a customer service position. A gym is supposed to feel inviting, and that's not how we felt. Our excitement for the gym quickly dissipated. I will never sign up for a membership here as long as Tyler is working there. As a gym in such a competitive environment like Columbus, there should be more thought into who you hire and who you choose to keep on. Especially with a planet fitness right across the street. My friend and I quickly crossed the street, signed up for planet fitness and had a great workout, contrary to how Tyler treated us.

I have loved every single class I have came to from my first ride when they first opened to today where they did a donation ride for Juneteenth. Each instructor has their own flow but I love the energy they bring to the studio and passion.
