If you are considering buying a toy from RideNow, then North Valley is the place to do it. Scott in service is amazing, and these guys exhibit the level of customer service and professionalism that the Coulter brand is known for. Conversely, the Goodyear location is a complete joke, and staffed with the worst type of used car salesmen you can imagine. My experience at Goodyear could not have been more disappointing, and I hope this will help my fellow riders spare themselves some heartache:
I was in the market for a UTV and live down the street from the North Valley location. Rick in sales found me the perfect vehicle in Goodyear. We agreed on a FIRM price and a 3 year warranty, out the door. So we call up Goodyear to confirm that is still available and they inform us that they are in the process of selling it, and that the gentleman was expected to return the next day and to sign everything. If he didn't return they said they would let us know. This was Friday, Nov. 9th. Friday, 16 Nov: I did not hear anything back, and assumed the buggy had sold. The following Friday I happened to be in Goodyear and saw the dealership. As I pulled up, there was the exact buggy I had been looking at. Needless to say I was a little surprised. I found a salesman and told him I had been looking at this buggy online and was ready to buy it today. I had the quote from North Valley for this very buggy in my truck. The sales manager came out with a new quote, for $1200 dollars more with no warranty. I told him I already had a VERBAL AGREEMENT AND HANDSHAKE with the North Valley location for this exact side by side, for a lower price with the 3 year warranty. I gave him the paperwork from North Valley, he took it to the office and came back with a new offer. $700 dollars more, with a 2 year warranty instead of 3. He told me point blank that they WOULD NOT BE HONORING the agreement I had with North Valley, and would not be going any lower on the price. In addition, they told me the gentleman from last week who was interested was planning on coming back the next day to buy it (same bs they fed me last week). The unit I was looking at is hard to find so I called Rick at North Valley and asked him what his thoughts were. I was willing to buy at that price, but was a little upset that Rick wouldn't be getting any commission off it. Rick said "Go for it!" and just tell your friends about me, so I did. I put $500 down and returned Saturday morning. Before I signed everything I walked around and checked the buggy to make sure all the lights worked, seat belts, etc. Everything looked good so I finished the paperwork. The salesman mentioned something about needing to do a walkthrough, but he said I was obviously familiar with it, so he wasn't going to worry about it. He informed me it did not have a tool kit (which Scott later found and showed me during my actual walk through) and there wasn't a manual. I asked him to print me out a manual and he said I could print it out at home or download it. Mind you, this guy just got a massive commission off of another guys hard work, he was just the guy who greeted me when I walked in the door. Anyways, I loaded up and went home. Once home, we took it out to test her out a bit. Within 30 minutes, as soon as we started hitting some bumps, it completely died. It started right back up, but would only run for a minute or 2. We limped it back to the trailer. Monday, 19 Nov.: I dropped the buggy off at North Valley. Scott in service was awesome, very apologetic, and pretty surprised that it had broke. He said he would get it fixed and I asked about the street legal kit. I already had the parts and he said he would install them for me, and gave me a quote. After a week in the shop I started to get a little antsy and was calling Goodyear for updates, since they sold me the buggy. Goodyear could not have been more disinterested, and every time I called they bounced me around from sales to service and back for five minutes before finally answering my questions. Eventually I talked to someone in sales who said they would cover the cost on the street legal kit to make it right. Friday, 6 Dec.: It's ready! I picked it up and it runs great. North Valley told me they didn't hear from Goodyear about payment. Saturday, 7 Dec.: We took the buggy out camping. Within 30 minutes it died again, same thing. We limped it back and took it back to the shop. Scott busted his ass and found out the #2 injector was shot. Wednesday, 19 Dec.: I picked it up again, seems to be running great. At this point I've owned it for a month, made my first payment, and driven it less than an hour. Goodyear told Scott they weren't paying for the install on the street kit, and even though they had zero responsibility in this debacle, North Valley ate the cost of my install. I took the buggy out and she is a beast, does everything I want it too and more.
