This gym set me up right from the start with a trainer to show me the equipment and run a diagnostic on me to show me my fat / water ratio and set a baseline for me. I decided that I liked Becky and set up several training sessions as I was just starting and felt I would need some assistance at the beginning. I did do 8 sessions and it's gone great. I will be on my own after two more, but I now have more confidence in what I can achieve and a better understanding of what I need to do. Equipment is great and they offer a good variety of machine style equipment and free weights. If you're just starting, I recommend going for a trainer if you can do it. It makes a big difference. Yes, the crowd is older, and there are some in rehabilitation, but I've yet to have a problem getting on equipment and everyone is polite and nice. I'm not surrounded by a ton of physically fit athletes, but I'm not intimidated and it's encouraged me. I had done a water aerobics class which was fun and you really get a workout. I plan on trying some others, but I know I can only do evening ones. Unfortunately, my work ours are such that the day classes are not for me. IF you really want to do classes, I'd review that part as it may not be for you. If you want to do some aerobic equipment and weight lifting equipment and get in and out of a gym and feel like the equipment is well made, I would say this is a great gym for you. The women's locker rooms are nice and clean. Showers are well built with privacy area. Hot tub is really nice and lap pool is gorgeous and big. I'm buying swim fins to try and do laps next. Lots of amenities which I like that a lot of other places don't have like the size of this pool.

Highly recommend. Large, clean athletic facility for medical rehab. Several certified trainers and…read morestaff there to help with all various physical medical conditions. Another woman placed her belongings down next to a machine to reserve it for herself for AFTER she was finished with the machine she was working on. I contacted the corporation via email and they said they would put signs up to stop people from reserving equipment but there were never signs put up. I joined this club and paid the extra $30 compared to another club that charges only $10 a month so that I could go in the pool and the Jacuzzi as it helps my pain. The last time I went to the Jacuzzi there were five or six old men sitting in the tub and one of the men was very threatening telling me that everyone took their shoes off before going into the Jacuzzi and I did not (I had flip flops). I wondered, were these losers kicked out of their senior communities? Why were all of these men there at the same time? When I started at the club there was a younger crowd and I liked the fact that I wouldn't have to use my parent's senior community jacuzzi and be hassled by mean old people there. This corporation is doing nothing to improve the club. It's going downhill. It makes me wonder if they're trying to make members want to leave so that they can bring new members in and charge higher fees.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! THIS IS A RIPOFF SCAM UNSCRUPUOUS FITNESS CLUB operated by the…read moremanager, John B., who is an abject failure as a human being. This LA Fitness branch defrauds elderly clients without compunction. Quick summary: My 80-year-old mother canceled her membership in person in October 2025, and she has not been back since. This can be confirmed. However, LA Fitness continued to bill my mother through July 2026, until I noticed the monthly charges were ongoing. (Moreover, their monthly charge actually went up!) When I asked my mother about it, she told me she had already canceled her membership almost a year ago. She spoke with Cody, to whom she would bring coffee wherever she went to work out, and he took care of it - canceling her membership. My mother, therefore, had no idea why she was still being charged when I confirmed that LA FITNESS was still charging her. We live in different states, so I told her she had to go back to LA Fitness, cancel in person, and get a refund. Simple, right? My mother had to go there twice, and once with an elder advocate to make sure they finally canceled her membership and to get her refund. Smooth sailing, right? Nope. It was to no avail. This POS, John B., refused to reimburse my 80-year-old mother for 10 months of fraudulent charges (that were inexplicably increasing!). The person who handled my mother's membership, Cody, should have canceled it at her request in October, but he no longer works there. If John B. were a normal manager or even a merely functioning human being, he would correctly assume it was Cody's error, and LA Fitness would issue her a prompt refund. Manager John B knows by glancing at his computer that my elderly mother has not been back to LA Fitness since October, confirming her account that she told Cody to cancel her membership. A normal person, let alone a manager at LA Fitness, would apologize for the gratuitous charges and inconvenience to my mother and politely refund the charges for 8 months. Not you, John B. No Refund. No apology. No explanation. You make your own parents and family proud, my man. Please, snicker in disgust when you see Johnny Boy.
