If you want a super challenging ride, with creativity, real cycling, and a great challenge - find a real spin instructor with a racing background, or road cycling background, and have a blast. I'm a regular rider at CycleBar in Seattle, but wanted to ride while I was visiting family in Sarasota. The studio felt just as welcoming and familiar as my regular studio! I loved the sweet welcome note on my locker. Someone also came up to me on my bike to check in and make sure I'd gotten my bike set up ok. The class format was exactly what I'm used to - perfectly challenging with a great playlist. The only downside is that the bikes don't have holders for the arm weights. My girlfriend and I took two classes here while I was attending a training conference. We regularly go to the location in Boca Raton. Upon arrival at the Sarasota location we were impressed by the accommodating nature of the staff members. They had even decorated our lockers and gave us two water bottles! What a nice warm welcome! The two classes (both 0600) moved at a fast pace. Coaches Merissa & Mark were both motivating and fun. Staff members helped me clip into the bike (they are of different style ). I've always wanted to try this and seeing the Groupon they offer as well as a friend wanting to go too, was the push I needed. I'm so glad I went and after the first class I was hooked! First class is free to anyone and then my Groupon was initiated for the next 4 classes. I love the welcoming and very helpful staff, the awesome instructors and the great workout you get. I joined cycled bar because of one instructor. I recently learned that the instructor was fired. I will no longer give my business to this place, as this instructor was better than most at this franchise. Business manager Paige pretends to care about your health, then will hustle and up sell you credits after a class, as a greedy franchise participant. Great coaches. I really enjoyed the classes and had a great workout. I couldn't do all of it the first couple of classes but I didn't feel judgment about it. However some of my classes were going to expire due to me being quarantined due to COVID exposure (had paperwork for proof); they said they would extend my classes so I could still use them but never did. I love Cyclebar! And this location did not disappoint. I have an unlimited pass to Cyclebar in Robinson (Pittsburgh), PA and go religiously. When I planned my week long trip to Sarasota I knew I had to get my cycle fix. So I purchased a Groupon for 4 classes. Registering and signing up for the classes was extremely easy, no issues whatsoever. The first class I went to was on a Sunday with Kourtney and the theme was Electric Daisy Festival (EDM music). It was a blast! Not only was the music so much fun, but Kourtney was a great instructor and really kept you focused and motivated during your ride. I also went to classes with Kelli and Kristen during the week at 9:30am. They were fantastic instructors as well who pushed you and delivered a great 50 minute work out. The music, the instructors and the studio were all great and I'm beyond excited to now have a cycle studio to go to when I visit in Florida! read more

I want to give this place 5 stars because it's AWESOME! But I can't because of the price. :( I would give 4.5 if I could. It's $20 a class but you can get this down to $16 if you buy bulk. And It's almost worth it... But not quite. Set in a theatre room you get 50 minutes of pumping tunes and videos all while monitoring your stats and comparing to others. It's really motivating if you have any minute competitive bone in you. Staff is super friendly. If you forget anything, it's there for you free. Shoes, water bottle, hair tie, you name it. They have had free classes for this grand opening and I've driven 16 miles at 545 a.m. To do this 3 times. It's THAT worth it. read more

This place is the answer to getting rid of my baby weight. I LOVE this place. I prefer these types of group classes vs. big box gyms. I need someone to count for me and just tell me what to do and when. It's like having a personal trainer. Super clean, great music, awesome instructors, personal lockers, shoes are included, gel pads for your bike seats, lemon towels for your face, I love everything about this place. The class is fun which makes the time goes by quickly. The room is theatre style and you pedal to the music beats and the lights change color. Some classes give you time to pedal at your own pace to mediate or think about your day. This place is awesome! Try it once and you will be hooked. Chris and Mandi are the best instructors! The studio is clean and well set up, the front desk staff is welcoming and congenial, and the instructors all provide a kick a## workout in their own unique styles. Kristi (her name I think!) at the front desk was very informative and friendly, and the pre-set up was easily done. LOVED Mandi's Cyclebar class! What is great about Cyclebar is it is high intensity intervals that work out not only your legs and abs, but also your arms and shoulders. I hadn't been to a studio that uses a weighted bar. I like that Mandi was extremely motivating but I didn't feel pushed to go beyond what my body was capable of! I ended up burning 500 calories in an hour and felt so energized after the class. It was also great to have shoes, towels, scented cold cloths, and fruit provided! Cyclebar is by far the best workout, and it's FUN! The instructors are all fantastic and have their own take on incorporating other movements into the class to keep up your energy and make the 45 minutes fly by. I am a road cyclist and race as a masters in NorCal. I was visiting the area for 10 days and wanted to get some kind of riding in so that I didn't lose all that hard earned fitness. I had never taken a spin/cycling class but CycleBar was the closest and offered some very affordable multi-day packages. I showed up on day 1 not knowing what to expect and I was warmly greeted and walked through the sign-in and setup process. There was even a locker with my name on it. I did notice that I was the only rider in cycling shorts but considering that you only spend about 1/2 the class actually in the saddle it makes sense to not really need a chamois nor pad. My instructor Jamii was great the classes are non stop work-your-buns-off similar to a road Criterium where you're riding 80-100% for 45 minutes. Since there are no gaps to close, sprints to win or hills to climb the instructor has to paint virtual goals for motivation. Using RPM and resistance settings to get the best out of everyone and it never gets boring. The studio, lockers and restrooms were spotless. The people were friendly and respectful. Everyone appeared to come to work and work we did. I did 4 classes during my visit and enjoyed everything about Cyclebar UTC. Towels and shoes are provided but make you bring your own bottle for water. Oh, earplugs are also provided and for me that was a small thing that made each session so much more enjoyable. read more

LOVE CycleBar! I try to get there 2x a week but would love to go more. The studio is clean, modern and caters to your every need: water (chilled or room temp), hair ties, cycle shoes, towels for ride, post workout snack, post work out lemon scented cold cloths, toiletries. Instructors are great. They have an instructor for everyone. Personally I love Rachael's and Kristen C's classes but will happily attend any of them.
