I love the fact that they post videos all the time. I live too far away to come in more often. See something in the video, give them a call. I wandered around and saw many items that would work for my needs at home. It's nice to go around the store and not be bugged every 5 minutes. I was greeted and left to explore. Prices seemed a little high on some items but that may have been the consigners choice. Overall, good experience. read more

We moved to Boise in March and did not bring a lot of our big furniture, so we went shopping and found Ricochet Home Consignment! They have quality items at very reasonable prices. Bought four chairs for our dining room table and we love them! I always check out what I need at Ricochets first to see if they have it in stock as it changes weekly. Between my wife & I. we have spent thousands of dollars on everything from as little as candle holders, paintings, dressers, couches & everything in between. We recently took a couch we bought from Ricochet back to Consign it with them. This was my first time being the co-signer on furniture with them. So for those of you wondering how it works ? you sign a form With your info on it and wether you want 60% store credit or 50% of the sale. They tell you after 30 days if it doesn't sell then the price will be reduced 20%. After 60 days you need to pick up or reconsign the item/items. Otherwise they will be " Donated ". They do not tell you at the time what your item will be listed at. I was ok with all this at the time. That's not my issue. Being curious of what price they put on it. I went back the next day to see. So my issue is. they sold the couch and never contacted me about it being sold. It took me going in one day before the 60 day consignment was up and realizing the couch was no longer on the floor.IE.. sold. The other problem I have with Ricochet is they are now claiming it was listed at a lower price then I seen with my own eyes. Hence why I went back the very next day after consigning the couch. To know how much to expect if it did sell. The staff has always been nice and friendly. But nice and friendly doesn't mean I should be cheated out of my money. Needless to say we will not spend another penny at Ricochet. Nor will we recommend Ricochet to any of the people we come in contact with ever again. I can't help but to think of how the many people they take advantage of. From older folks that trust them and don't come back to check on their items. People who move away... we will just use Facebook market place instead from now on. Never understand how it's ever a good business model to take advantage of your costumer's. read more

This is one of my favorite places to shop. There is such variety in this store. There are decor items, a variety of dining sets, living room pieces, artwork, a little bit of everything. My taste is eclectic, so I can always find a treasure here. It's not the run of the mill furniture store with gray, gray, and more gray furniture pieces. The staff is friendly and helpful, always with a welcoming smile and greeting as you walk in. I have sent a number of friends here who are looking for something unusual or different. The prices are fair and reasonable. Since the items are on consignment, they are eventually marked down if they have been there for a specific period of time. If you're a gambler of sorts, you can try to hold out and see if your item goes down in price. read more

Ok, for a consignment shop, this is the best in Boise...hands down. If you know of a better, by all means, lemme know. 2nd hand shops are SO MUCH FUN to shop in. They have shit that is actual quality...you know, from times when products we buy were made...good. Today, everything is cheaply made and made is....puke...China lol. All products from there are crap. We all know it. That's why shopping at stores like this is always a good time. There's a 2nd hand shop downtown that is pretty bad ass as well, but GURRRRL, you gonna pay them downtown prices, lol. Still a fantastic store and of course I can't remember the name. That's probably good for Ricochet, if they actually read this review lol. Ok, so this store is always a blast to go through. It's so big, so homey, and they have SO MUCH STUFF! You will definitely find something in there you like and probably that you weren't even shopping for lol. The staff is ALWAYS so super sweet and very accommodating. They seem to go the extra mile for their customers :) Now...the prices, lol. This place is a little....pricey. With each passing month, year....they get a little higher in price. I tell my roommate "I see their stuff on insta and ask the price and some times fall out of my seat lol. I blame the population boom in this city" And that's true lol, I do blame all the Californians moving here, hahahahaha! Ok ok, not just them. I blame all the people moving here. I'm sure with the way the population is growing, so is their rent...I dunno. I'm not sure how it all works. It's sad though....that so many people are moving here....OH...and yeah, the prices. Lol. Don't get me wrong tho, they may be a tad pricey, but they are still very much affordable. I mean, after all, a huge majority of the stuff in there is/are antiques or are close to becoming antiques. Of course they have selections of things from 80's to present day stuff. Look, bottom line is, this store is amazing. It has the best variety of stuff, it's super clean, the way they display their products is incredible! Someone over there knows what they're doing. If you have been here, you know EXACTLY what I am talking about. If you haven't been, seriously, wtf are you waiting for?? North enders, look, its OOOOOKKKK to venture away from your scared land....the north end. It's ok to head over to Garden City to check this place out. Why? Because it's f'n amazing. Sure the store downtown is incredible, has a great feel to it, and is the "trendy" 2nd hand store to shop at, lol, but at least at Ricochet, you'll get better deal and there's more stuff to go through.....literally TONS of stuff! In the back of the store, where it's a little warmer lol...I think it's a swamp cooler vs the ac in the main showroom....but in the back, they have a super adorable little clothing store. Their door is a screen door....and I LOVE little touches like that. Wish I had snapped a pic...grrr! Sorry, next time, I will.. Only shitty thing about that store, they only sell women's clothes. BOOOOO! Men exist! We are here! We ALSO like to wear clothes....mainly because we don't want to go to jail! Lol. We came in on Sunday to look for a dining room table. Found one that we loved there was already a hold put on it until mid day next day. Called that day and asked for the hold to be put on and called today to purchase and Kaia said that the person that took my call yesterday did not do their job. I can't make this up, they flat out admitted that we were out of luck. I was then put on hold for 30 to 45 seconds and hung up on. Needless to say I will not be going back there and I have purchased multiple items from this business. read more

Thus store was recommended by my realtor. It's a moderate size but they do get some fun stuff. I swelled when I saw a 1950s red and chrome kitchen chair and picked it up and it was heavy like they used to make them... and about cried when I found out they had a pair and sold the other one. I round have whipped out that $120 bucks in a second for those two chairs! I've been in three times now and keep finding things I like but won't fit or not quite the right finish but they post new items in a weekly Facebook video on Tuesday so after missing the chairs I've got it on my calendar to watch that video (it's a bit if a drive for me!) They also have clothing and I browsed but nothing for me but I found a few things in the clearance rack I would buy if I was a size small. read more

Not my style of furnishings. At all! But, if you have furniture to sell and you do not want to mess around with craigslist or anyone coming to your house to see the item, this is a good option. They take 50% of the profit. They also sign a contract for two months and then extend if needed. Our dealings were minimal until my item was sold. Then I just picked up a check and I was done. They also have a cute loft area with handbags and women's shoes (in fact I am probably going to have to go back and get the boots I saw $10?! Seriously!). Ricochet carries what I call "transitional" furniture made to look like it comes straight out of a catalog...you know the one. Mostly heavy, dark, and more masculine-looking, I think. However, the pieces are high-quality and very clean...almost like shopping at a new furniture store. The place is enormous, so there is plenty to look at. Unfortunately, my tastes lean toward more modern, lighter, and Scandinavian furniture. The service is cordial but a bit distant considering we were one of two couples in the store. (I wish they had a "mid-century modern" section...I'd be there every weekend.) read more

You like a place until they screw you over and then it makes you very angry. I put something on a 24 hour hold and they sold it out from under me within a few hours. I had a very nice dining room table that was sold in 10 days which was very nice. However, it has been 37 days and still no payment from this store. I have called three times and the story is "The check in the mail. It is processed by an outside company and I can't give you that information nor is there anything that can be done to get it to you." This is unacceptable. read more

A few months back I purchased a sofa here for $2,000. We did get the run around on price and told different stories depending on who answered the phone. I was happy with the couch, not so much the service. This past week, I went in to browse with my husband on a slow Monday afternoon and found 2 chairs to buy. We had our VERY well behaved dog with us (There are no posted door signs of no dogs allowed that I saw, we always look before entering a store) He sat quietly next to me and walked at my side. We were walking to the front counter to inform them we would purchase them when the women working got upset and was very rude about the dog being in the store. I understand some people just aren't "dog people" but this is the reason we won't be returning. We immediately left and went to RC Willey and made our chair purchase with our dog in tow and received many compliments on his behavior and quietness. read more

Been leaving items with Ricochet for many years. Not sure if ownership changed or not but as of the past couple years we have not been impress with their increase in % cut of the sales and management is a bit snotty and blames you for everything and takes no responsibility for themselves at all. Recently they showed extremely poor knowledge of an obviously vintage item that was completely restore and worth around $400 and they sold it for $45. There are several other consignement stores in the valley that have very polite and friendly employees and do not charge 50% cut of the sales from you. Do not recommend consigning items here as their knowledge of value has diminished over the years. read more

This place is packed to the gills with cool, used, overpriced furniture. I was able to find some good deals and made plans to come back with a vehicle. However, the staff didn't mention that you have to bring in your own people for moving the furniture (when I brought this up later, the employee referred to a small sign on the door that was supposed to have properly informed me). I am 6 months pregnant. When I asked for help loading up, the lady behind the counter refused to help me, EVEN THOUGH SHE HAD NOTHING ELSE TO DO. She basically stood behind the counter and watched me struggle to load it on my own. I later went into another part of the store and saw a second employee, a young guy perfectly capable of helping me out, but he didn't even greet me. Rude! Always fun to browse here because they have new and interesting stuff every time I visit. I spotted a leopard print fabric chaise lounge that accommodated two people as well as a pair of retro Hollywood-style black velvet wing-back love seats--all in very good shape. Their large store showcases with designer charm a great variety of stylish unique pieces that have pizazz and personality. There's furniture for folks like me who prefer a rustic style of decorating. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. Sophie was my hero when she literally embraced the challenge of how I could get my two-shelf oak bookcase home when it wouldn't easily fit in my car. I have completely furnished my home from lamps, décor, throw pillows and got an amazing love seat/sofa set at an awesome price. The employees helped me with matching items and measuring to fit.
