Awesome sushi, excellent service, wonderful place to eat. We absolutely loved the Ricky Special Roll, and the crab salad roll.

What an amazing place! I was not too excited when I realized it was a food truck but wow, the food was delicious! We had the Hawaiian roll, the Salmon lovers roll and the Salmon poke bowl. Five+ stars! read more

I come here every time I'm in Portland (twice per year). I have DREAMS about their CA roll sushi burrito - it's SO good! And that Latin Lover Roll... MY GOD. The young man who usually rings me up is so kind. The small cups of miso soup while you wait are perfect to keep away the cold Portland wind. It's not a typical restaurant - there's no indoor seating - but there are covered picnic tables and the to-go options are pretty great. I'll keep coming here every time I'm in town, and I've recommended it to everyone I know who lives here. Love you guys! read more

Okay, we were looking for some close by Sushi and wondered about this one because it doesn't sound ethnic but the ratings were really good. Omg! This is our new go-to! You know good sushi by the seasoned rice - for one, is it shining? There are a lot of sushi places around whose rice pale in comparison to Ricky's. Their fish is so fresh too - the nigiri's and rolls are mouth watering. Also, don't forget their poke. Delish! read more

If we could give 100 stars, we would! Great friendly service and the sushi is amazing every time! My family has ordered their specialty rolls, salmon nigiri, veggie rolls and miso (complementary). Ricky's Sushi also has tamari for gluten free option! We came here based on a recommendation and will keep coming back! It's my children's favorite, "This is better than Bamboo!" And we love Bamboo. read more

very good sushi. Very nice people. Recommend highly. We enjoyed the spicy tuna roll especially.

OMG!!! This place is SO DELICIOUS! My first time going, so I've only tried "Ricky's Special Roll" and BOY am I impressed! Ingredients were so fresh, melt in your mouth tuna, moist and tender salmon... JUST WOW! They take their time with such a lovely presentation, definitely worth the wait and noticeable quality ingredients too! Bright and flavor-able texture packed in a huge roll! Definitely bigger than your average specialty roll, I was very pleasantly filled up! I usually have to buy a couple sushi rolls when I've missed breakfast and end up having a later lunch. But this roll was perfect size and hit the spot! I was originally looking for island food in my area, but happened upon this place. And although, I am not a picky eater, as I am a fan of a wide range of cuisines...I am VERY picky when it comes to quality. I just have a very sensitive stomach & palate. That being said...I am such an instant fan! Can't wait to try other things on their menu. Definitely going back for more! read more

Ricky's Sushi - Ricky's special roll with side of Nigiri's - Sushi Bars Near Me - Portland, Oregon

I've only ordered them online so I can't speak to what the food cart is like but everything I've had delivered has been top-notch and amazing. I barely have enough time to capture photos before the food is gone (hence the partially eaten sushi roll in my photo). What I love especially is how they have SO many vegetarian and vegan options AND they always thoughtfully package them separately from the other rolls. They have a lot of options behind basic avocado or boring veggie rolls. Their regular sushi rolls are also inventive and interesting. Portions are very generous and they give you lots of wasabi and ginger. This is by far one of my absolute favorite places to get sushi because I can get lots of veg variety that's fresh, delicious, and a great value. read more

Ricky's Sushi - Partially consumed Rainbow Roll with Sake/Salmon and Seared Tuna - Sushi Bars Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Ricky's has a track record of getting me right every time with quality food and can-do positive attitude when I ask for substitutions or add-ons. I love the friendly and chill vibe of people working in this food truck in The Yard at Montevilla. On chilly nights I've come to order sushi, and they offer a cup of complimentary miso soup that helps warm me up. When I mentioned I loved their pickled ginger, they were so generous with it in everything I ordered! My partner loves their sushi burritos and I'm falling in love with multiple menu items-- Vegas Rolls and The Heart Attack are definitely worth trying if you like cream cheese and tempura batter-fried options. I was pleasantly surprised the heart attack has stuffed jalepeños on a healthy bed of salad! Thanx for taking good care of us, Ricky's! read more

Maybe I got the wrong rolls or something but this place was not it for me. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a spicy salmon roll via DoorDash and they were the blandest sushi I have ever had. There was zero spice in the rolls so I wouldn't have been able to decipher them from a normal salmon and tuna roll. I ended up making my own spicy mayo to dip these in as well as using multiple soy packets to add some flavor to the rolls. Additionally, the rolls were warm. Granted that it was delivery so there was likely 30 minutes between the food being ready and being delivered but warm sushi is never a good thing. One positive, I will say that the rolls are fairly large so I suppose the price is somewhat appropriate but two rolls for almost $30 with no flavor is very disappointing. Certainly better sushi spots in Portland that I will be going to. read more

So good! I'll be back the next time I'm in Portland. The gal that took our order was so sweet and the sushi DIVINE. Take your food to go as the seating area could use an update. read more

HUGE SUSHI BURRITOS OMG!!!! The workers were sooooo NICE! They offered us miso soup while we waited for our food. It was cold out so we went to eat in the car. (We obviously could not wait to eat until we got home hehe) Only to open up our boxes and fine the LARGEST SUSHI BURRITOS I have ever had. They are also SOOOO YUMMY!!!! We got the Spicy Tuna burrito and the flavor was great. Definitely recommend. Seriously, the girl working was SO sweet. They were also playing some good music. :) read more

The sushi is amazing! Definitely amazing dynamite rolls. Must give a try when you are in town.

Found this great sushi spot. I was surprised that they didn't have Yelp page so I starts one. This is a food cart sushi. Very good quality and big rolls. Each roll has 9 pieces of sushi and each piece is big. I ordered Ricky's special roll, Crazy roll, and spicy creamy scallops. That was too much food even for a big eater like me. Sushi were great! The owner, Ricky, explained to me about his rolls. Very nice guy. Highly recommend this small sushi spot. Definitely will be back. read more

This place is sooo good. They have a large vegetarian sushi menu that can all be made vegan (including vegan cream cheese, etc.). The vegan heart attack appetizer is amazing. One thing that cant really be made vegan is the agedashi tofu which is sad because I love agedashi tofu! But there are plenty of other vegan options to choose from! Also the people who work there have always been super nice and helpful. read more

Huge burritos!!! We over ordered since we figured the servings were average... they are not. Come with an appetite and enjoy!

We have been back to this sushi cart several times now over the summer and it has been consistently great each time! I'm so happy to have affordable sushi that is easy to grab and take home (they have picnic tables and Adirondack chairs at the pod if you want to stay). Super fresh and always tons of ginger and wasabi. I can't speak to the fish as we stay pretty tame with our choices, but definitely recommend! read more

Honestly... absolutely delicious and good portions too. The rolls are huge and so so good. The spring rolls are perfect and the gyozas were delicious too. This place had the best spicy Mayo I've ever had. We got a dragon roll and a sweet potato roll. Both were fantastic. Wish I had tried this place sooner but it will definitely be a go to from now on. read more

10/10 We've tried several sushi spots in PDX but Ricky's has become our go-to. The owner is amazing and has good recommendations if you're not sure. They offer a lot of classic rolls & have some really good specialty rolls specifically the Latin Lover roll. Be sure to get the chicken gyoza and sesame balls. The miso soup is also mandatory on cold/rainy Portland days. It's in a great spot as well - The Yard food trucks off 82nd/Glisan. read more

Never had a bad experience at Ricky's. We used to live down the street from them but moved and always try to stop by every month or so or order through Uber eats (though the crew is so sweet there that usually if you go in person they'll give you miso soup while you wait) One of my favorite sushi places read more
