Our project consisted of pouring 2 concrete slabs (1 along the side of the house and a second in the backyard), planting a boarder trim, and installing sprinkler systems in our back and front yard. Joel and crew completed all parts of this project with attention to detail and communicated effectively throughout. First and foremost, I have to give a huge shout out to the team lead managing the concrete part of our project. His attention to detail in recommending ideal drain setups in the sections where water had pooled in the past are exactly why we went Joel - we want to do things right the first time. After chatting with Joel, we installed the recommended drains, preventing a potentially expensive fix down the road. The rest of the project was completed with professionalism and Joel was great in communicating and working with our needs. Our one constructive feedback is that we did not receive a mock-up of the project before work was underway. For years, our outside drains were clogged, and I found myself setting up pumps during the storms to get the pools of water away from our home. Every year, I would tell myself that I would get the drains cleared. Before the rains came this past winter, I hired a company to hydro jet the pipes. They tried to clear the drains, but because they were so clogged, their equipment failed. Again, I was setting up the pumps during the rain storm. So, I researched and found Joel and Sons. I met Joel and he examined our front/back yards. He gave an excellent and fair estimate that would fix the drainage problems. Krystal, Jesus, and all their staff really provide professional, quality service and care for our yard and irrigation needs. We initially got started with them for a total clear out and clean up of our existing landscape and ended up sticking with them for weekly maintenance services and little projects here and there and have never looked back! Today was another example - I asked Steve if he would just check up on my back sprinklers bc I noticed they didn't run Monday and when he did, he found a HUGE leak in one of our main irrigation pipes! Our house is kind of old and starting to need a lot of repairs so I wasn't completely surprised but the leak was pretty big. We had to turn off all the water to the house and wait for them to get one of their irrigation and plumbing experts over. Richard showed up almost immediately and had us all cleaned up and back in business in no time!! Cesar is the real deal…read more What started as a straightforward quick fix turned into a 3+ odyssey into why my drip irrigation wasn't working. Cesar and his team managed to find and fix everything wrong with the system: - Rewired my entire Rachio controller. The original installers had left behind what can only be described as a rat's nest of wiring. Caesar sorted it into something clean and actually traceable. - Replaced a failing valve that had been quietly wasting water, sputtering instead of shutting off properly. - Ran an entirely new line under the house to restore power to the back valve, since the old wire was not only broken but buried three feet down under turf and tarp aka basically unreachable for any future repair. He's a genuine jack of all trades and what impressed me most was that he didn't stop at the easy fix. He treated the whole system like it needed to actually work long-term vs. limping along until the next breakdown. Thanks to his work, if anything goes wrong down the line, it'll actually be possible to find and fix it - which, after seeing how the system was originally installed, feels like a minor miracle.
