I do not write bad reviews but this company has a major problem. They should be given -5 star review and not be in business the way they treat customers. They stop mid project and it has been 4 months. First and only time they came was in November 2023 and they replaced 1 section of gutter and took down another section of the downspout and half of that gutters to be replaced and they have not been back to finish the project. (They said they will be here yesterday to finish the project Feb 10 2024) BUT THEY DID NOT SHOW UP AGAIN !!! I was calling ALL DAY leaving messages and writing Emails to make sure they are coming but NO REPLY, NO NOTICE, NO RESCHEDULE, NOTHING!! We have had 6 appointments dates (1 in end of November, 3 in December, 2 in January, and now 1 in February) to finish but they are NO SHOW, NO CONTACT, NO RESCHEDULE, NOTHING EVERY SINGLE TIME. I would have to call and email about 10-15 times to finally set an appointment but EVEN WITH CONFIRMATION THEY ARE NO SHOW and DO NOT HAVE THE CURTESY TO GIVE YOU ANY NOTICE THAT THEY CANT MAKE IT. SO you have to be waiting around ALL DAY for them to come.....but they never come. Because of their negligence our outer wall is damaged and also causing leaks into our units. We just had a fine job done by Rick's, on our house. The estimator came out, on time, and we got our fairly-priced quote about two days later. They set an installation date about a month later and, on the day, their crew, Victor and Victor, were on-time and very pleasant. They got right to work, with minimal involvement from me. It was a small job, just one side of a second story roof. But they were done by mid-afternoon. Everything as promised. Rick's works old-school, in terms of administrative stuff. Their forms are hand-written and include only the basics. I paid by check. It's not a problem, but it seems a little antiquated versus the online, printed forms and portable credit card readers of similar contractors, these days. Some might say, that helps keep costs down. Called for an estimate, jesse came out did an estimate and was pretty thorough. We received a fair and competitive price. They showed up on time and performed the job well even while the roofers were finishing up. At first all was good but had a couple items that needed to be addressed and they were. Seldom do I ever have a contractor come out, do a job and have zero follow-up or clean-up due to the job being incomplete. Here's the thing: I got a quote, they came out to do the job, the cleaned up everything, they left and I never had to call them about anything nor did I have to do anything to improve on what they did. Went back and forth with them for weeks trying to set up a time to come out. I had to reschedule and then they had to reschedule and then eventually I get an e-mail (after weeks of back and forth) saying that coming out to my property to do an estimate is too far outside their service area so they'll have to decline. SO unprofessional! If they had told me that weeks ago (when I gave them my address), I would've moved on to find someone else to come out. Such a waste of time. The First Time: I had used them they were very professional, informative and on time for an estimate. They gave me an honest opinion even though I had decided to go with a larger and more expensive rain gutter. With different estimates for my budget we picked out the rain gutter and color that worked best. We had them do our raingutters in Manhattan Beach. After a few months some had holes in them. Now one is leaking everywhere, worse than when we had no raingutters. Apparently they use a material that does not withstand the climate. How about using PVC that would last a long time! Instead they use cheap material that falls apart quickly. Now they want nearly $700 to replace just one piece. Methinks not! read more

Octavio came out and gave me a quote the day after calling. What stood out from the other gutter companies was that his quote had the lines and dimensions drawn with a straight edge. Every other company just scribbled some lines and illegible numbers. Octavio's attention to detail ON THE QUOTE was enough to win me over. Not only that, but when I mentioned the cheapest quote from a competing company was 2.5% cheaper, he matched it! The gutters came out perfect. Octavio's attention to detail really stood out. I'm writing this review based on the experience I encountered with Rick's Rain Gutters. They provided a quote recently to the previous owners of our house. Not long after we moved in, we set up an appointment for them to come and instal the rain gutters. The day came and the set time passed, so I called the office number. It went to voicemail, so I called the alternate number on the company form. I reached a man who said he didn't have us on his calendar for instillation. He was helpful and sounded genuinely surprised by my call. He said he'd call the office and get right back to me. About 15 minutes later a woman called from their office and immediately challenged me, and my account of the appointment. Her tone, and attitude were pointed at me as if I was completely wrong, wasting her time and bothering her people in the field. She offered nothing regarding finding out what happened and never once suggested the company come out at a later date to install. She offered nothing but blame at me, for my mistake and chastisement for calling the alternative number on the form. It's as if they don't want the business, and don't care about the customer. They haven't even followed up with us to see if we still want rain gutters. I'm amazed at how dismissive she was. Well, we will look for a better company, who actually cares about their customers. read more

Easy as pie, except now the sound of dripping water onto the horizontal sections makes a loud bang bang bang bang sound because of the material they use. It is so annoying, we have to keep a sponge at the bottom to reduce the sound (which of course is washed away each time it rains). Good prices and easy though. read more
