He had issues with it and took it back several times to get it fixed for several different issues. Not only did he charge to fix it but everything he said they fixed was not fixed at all. Was told he got a new ac compressor and lines put in so the ac would work and guess what that quit working. We told them the back tires were wearing out on the outside edge and that it needed an alignment and new tires. so he did put new tires on the back and said he did an alignment and wouldn't you know it happened again a few months later so that means he didn't do an alignment at all and charged him for it. And the reason he took it to him was bc it's AWD and it being so bad out of alignment when it goes over snow only the car feels like it's a damn boat on the water so it was very dangerous. And again remember this is a 16 year old kid that was supposed to be very close to them. I've seen the shady work they do on cars. Even putting an oil change sticker on and the oil wasn't even changed. We will never ever trust them again. Scam artists

help me get the word out there that Al's transmission and Auto in Manitowoc Wisconsin is not a safe…read moreor reputable business to take your vehicle for repairs or servicing me and Marissa took our vehicle there as a referral from another auto shop that doesn't work on transmissions Al's transmission did not follow the proper steps they were supposed to send an estimate to the insurance company and get authorization to do work on the transmission instead they just went ahead worked on the transmission and then tried billing the insurance company and the insurance company said they weren't paying because they didn't authorize then they tried billing us for the work which we did not authorize we are now currently in the process of suing them for the vehicle and the unauthorized repairs and since the court case is now going they have went and placed a mechanics lien to take the vehicle and sell it instead of just owning up to their screw up given the vehicle back or waiting for the court case to be finished me being the nice guy that I am before all this started I tried working out a deal with else transmission Craig Lisa you name them and they refused I didn't want to see a shop get screwed over their money because they didn't follow the proper steps when they fixed our truck but they shot us down every step of the way that we tried finding some middle ground with them I can't emphasize this enough do not trust ales transmission and auto with your vehicle. If your car has to break down, these are the guys to call for help! Sir Tony came out with a battery for my car this morning! He responded with the AAA service so the battery was installed at my garage at home -- which was great because the car was dead AGAIN! No stress for me because Sir Tony was just as pleasant after professional as Sir Dave. He laughed and talked and made the whole situation seem like no big deal! It was nice to be able to trust these young men with my car, my home, and my safety. I felt like they were going to do what they promised and deliver high quality products. I would definitely use Main Street Towing, West Bend again. In fact, I may look for them to become my primary mechanics! These guys were clearly raised right and taught the kind of manners that put old school customer service a high priority!
