    Vintage hardware for homes

If you are looking for knobs, key fixtures and other hardware, Rick's is the place. With a huge selection of fixtures, you are sure to find what you need. Stopped by with a friend looking for some items for his home, he found everything he needed in one shop.

Such a cool store. Way better priced and more inventory than Liz's hardware on the other side of the city. The owner Rick is a really cool guy. He has so much knowledge on hardwares. You can find top quality products with fair price points there.

    ball finial

If you have an old home or want vintage and unique and understand that Rick's isn't a chain (thank you, God) this is a hardware goldmine ... I needed ball finials for my door hinges. I didn't even know what they were called until way too much Google time. Found the manufacturer who told me of a distributor. The guy acted like I was asking him to scale a glass wall naked in the rain. WAIT!!!!! RICK'S! This is where I bought my hinges and door knobs and drawer pulls and.... Went in... showed them what I needed... walked out 5 minutes later goods in hand. I didn't even need to know what they were called. Thank you, Rick's. You're the best.

Also, they have an incredible stock of vintage hardware: door knobs, escutcheon plates, drawer pulls, handles, whatever!

Begin with a substantial parking lot that you can enter from Burbank or Vineland. The parking lot was clean and free of carts. Walking through the door, I was greeted by two friendly cashiers. This store is so clean, open, and organized. I immediately saw where I needed to go to find the wood I needed. As soon as I approached the counter, Jake came over and helped me right away. I explained what I was doing and what I thought I could use. He showed me two very affordable options and confirmed my choice. I needed the wood to be cut into several pieces of varying sizes. No problem. He wrote up the ticket, told me the aisle where I could find a glue I needed, and set about to filling the cut order. When I went to find the glue, I was met and helped by another super friendly employee who took me directly to the product and helped me choose the appropriate quantity. I took my glue and order slip to the friendly cashier. It ended up being a little more than half of what I had anticipated paying, a very good thing these days! After loading the lumber into my car, I was about to take the cart back, and another employee came outside and said he'd return it for me. 100% positive experience across the board (no pun intended). If you have a project or repair in mind, especially if you're unsure or a little nervous about it (and don't want anybody "mansplaining" to you), this is the place to go. I should add, there were also quite a few customers that appeared to be seasoned pros, Anawalt was their choice too. Definitely going back to this location.

Full disclaimer up front, I am a Home Depot guy…read more I have the Ryobi OnePlus system, which is only sold by Home Depot (A mistake on my part initially). However, this Ace hardware is closer to my house. So for simple things, like screws, wall fasteners, anchors, spray paint, etc... This place does really really well. It's also very large, especially for an Ace hardware. They have a great selection and they have multiple sections. They also have a really large selection of like griddles, grills, and smokers. Everyone who works here is friendly. However, this is what brings this location down to a four-star review. While everyone who works here is friendly, they're not always helpful. And there's a couple of ways that they're not helpful. The first is that it's difficult to find someone who works here. They're understaffed in my opinion. The second reason they're not always helpful, is that they don't always have great knowledge in the questions that I've been asking. I'm a fairly handy person, but I'm not a contractor, and I definitely don't work in a hardware store. But I've been very surprised at the number of times that I've actually found somebody to help me, and then they weren't able to help me. Either because they didn't know, or they were unsure of what I was asking about, or they just weren't able to help me to find what I was looking for. But overall this is a great local option If you don't want to drive further to a Home Depot or a Lowe's. And don't go to Lowe's.

Maybe not as much selection and maybe a little pricier, but it's always super convenient to pop by if you are in need of something for that project you are working on. I love to come here for spray paint usually and plants! Though I do like to "ooh and ahh" over their patio furniture. I love how they display everything to really give you inspo for how you can do up your back yard. They also have fire pits and camping chairs, lots of pots, umbrellas, and even dog toys! It's a super dog friendly store actually. Staff is always helpful here. Parking is always easy peasy. Support your local Ace!
