This might be the first wheel barrel or cord of wood you are about to purchase; I have been buying cords of firewood for over forty years. This is good firewood. See my pictures of Ricks mixed firewood as of December 2, 2017. Mixed firewood is just mix of different types of wood, Pine, Ash, Birch, Oak, etc. You never know what you will get. Some soft and some hard wood. But mixed wood usually has the snap, crackle, and pop that usually you think of with a camp fire or in a lodge type fireplace. Hard wood such as oak and Eucalyptus it give out more heat than mix. Some hardwoods give more of a camp fire smell depending on the wood. I am purely into the aesthetic, smell and yes warmth too. Generally Mix will be fine if you are similar into the firewood like myself . Otherwise you need to pay more for the hardwood and unique variety of woods that are out there. If you are like me that has a fire usually at every night during the cold/ cooler season, from November to April; A cord of wood should be enough depending on your use of course. Once a week, a half cord. Heavy user than a cord and a half and what you don't use; keep it for next season. I had researched about 11 companies on Yelp and Craigslist. Like you; Trying to get a fair price for a cord of wood. I found Rick to be an honest and gave me a fair price on a cord of wood. I also found him to be the best price out there. More importantly is his service and quality of well seasoned firewood. When I ordered the firewood, Rick said he would be out in two days. In the morning he text me and told me he was loading up and would be there soon. Which he arrived on time. He has five stars for a reason.

Finding a decent price on firewood, let alone wanting and desiring great customer service, is something that seems to be lacking in the firewood biz. BUT not anymore! Rick's Firewood was a great experience, from the call to picking up the wood. I spoke to Rick about picking up some wood. He confirmed a time, and I'll be darned if he wasn't right in time! He greeted me professionally and helped load up the truck. He was VERY nice, generous, and extremely polite. I will NOT be getting firewood from anyone else. If you want great quality wood without all the attitude, then Rick is your guy!

I just moved into my new place and I finally have a fireplace so I decided to call and gather some information. I called after 7 PM thinking it was perhaps an office line telephone number when he answered the phone and asked if I needed delivery up until 10 PM the same day. I was really astonished at this Business customer service. I'm absolutely going to have him deliver some wood as it gets a little bit colder here in Stevenson Ranch. I would recommend him to anyone needing wood. No need to go to a store he comes to you! (Update 30 days later)... Just called Rick and delivered it within a few hours! Thanks!

Wow, we got a crazy amount of firewood for only $40. Called Rick on a Saturday and within 2 hours he was dropping off 2 giant barrels of firewood. He even helped me load and organize it in my backyard! Cheap wood and amazing service? Yep! It made our evening :)

Best person to get firewood from in the SCV. For what I paid I got a lot more wood than I expected. I'm telling all my friends to get wood from Rick from now on.
