The receptionist was warm and helpful, and Abby (the dental assistant, I believe) was so friendly--she made the transition into the procedure much easier. She even provided a blanket and gave me two stress balls to help calm my nerves, which was incredibly thoughtful. Dr. Zhuk made my root canal the best experience it could possibly be. He took his time, explained everything clearly, and really helped ease my anxiety. I especially appreciated how he honored my requests--like letting me wear my AirPods and making sure I didn't see the needle. Those small acts of kindness made a huge difference for me. I didn't need a root canal back seven years ago but now I do! I'm in pain and they were able to fit me in quite quickly. I was put on stand by per my request. I was seen within a week and Dr Javahari was my Endo. He did a wonderful job of keeping me at ease. I'm not afraid of root canals and I usually fall asleep when I have dental work. They wanted me to come in on February 2, but I couldn't make it that day, they were able to get me in the very next day. The first person I saw, was Lisa in the front office. Very friendly, very helpful, she had me fill out the forms on a computer, instead of the old-fashioned on paper. If I had any questions, she was right there to answer them for me. Doctor Wong's assistant, Vanessa, then came to take me back to the room. I was nervous as heck, but she was very understanding. We did the x-rays, and then I was taken back to the treatment room. I asked if nitrous oxide was available, because I was extremely nervous. I've always been a little "Denta - phobic." she checked, but unfortunately, it wasn't covered by the VA. Fortunately, I had my phone with music on it. Dr. Wong comes in, and explains exactly what's going to happen, he could tell I was extremely nervous, but again, he was very understanding and very patient. He made sure I was totally numbed up. When I got into the chair, they not only gave me a pillow under my legs, but they also gave me one for my head. They made sure I was very comfortable. I put on some easy listening, music, my hearing aids, have a Bluetooth so I could listen to the music, and they went to work. The procedure went extremely well. He told me that I would be in the chair for about an hour, but it didn't seem like that at all. I must've actually fallen asleep in the chair, it went so well. Fortunately, they gave me a bite block, so I didn't have to worry about my mouth closing. Lol. Before I knew it, we were done. The doctor explained the aftercare to me, they gave me a sheet of paper on what to expect, and I was out the door. I was in the office for a total of about two hours, but again it didn't seem like that at all. Everybody was friendly, helpful, patient, and understanding. If the VA sends me in for another treatment, I hope they send me here again. Thank you!

I chose Dr Vardanian as my new dentist because he was on my selected dentist list provided by my insurance company. He promised a quote that was half the price given by my former dentist, so I decided to have him do the implant. After it was finally completed, it had cost $2,000 more had been quoted originally! And he remarked that the insurance company hadn't paid him anything back to give me (which he had promised about 5 times during the year and a half!) I wouldn't recommend him solely on this basis: I can't trust him.
