Since it was lunch time we went back in the corner of the store where you order. Quaint little spot where an Amish woman took our order. I had their Tuesday special a cheeseburger and fries and my wife their chicken salad on Texas toast. Only took 5 min. to make and went to the front of the store where they have seating. Everything was excellent the burger had so much flavor the fries were crispy but not over done. My wife's chicken salad sandwich was thick with chicken salad on toasted Texas toast. With a can of Coke our order came to 12.50. Not bad for two of us. Before leaving we did get the groceries we originally had stopped for. Not bad prices on their meats so we stocked up on steaks cold meat and a few pounds of brats. So if you're in the neighborhood stop by and enjoy a quick breakfast or lunch and get ya a few groceries.

Walked in and immediately hit a wall of cigarette smoke. allowing indoor smoking at a restaurant…read moreisn't a quirk or a throwback charm point, it's a health issue. Nonsmokers at the table next to a lit cigarette have no real recourse. The service made it worse. My drink got dumped on the rocks outside by the server, the glass refilled, and then handed off to someone else at another table. Never got it back. Nobody acknowledged it, nobody offered a replacement. The brisket had the texture of a roast that had been cooking for thirty minutes. Tough, underdeveloped, and nothing close to what brisket should be. Beyond that, the overall experience hit every low note. Staff checked in on nobody, the space is tired and worn, and the general atmosphere felt like maintenance stopped being a priority years ago. The love for the food left a decade before.

When asking for sauces for sides such as fried items or even barbecue sauce for a sandwich, there are no cups to put dips in and they were putting the sauces in cardboard boats that were meant for sides such as onion rings. The pork sandwich was ample with a lot of meat; however, the main condiment of BBQ sauce they give you is minuscule. This defeated the purpose of the sandwich because you then have to take it back to your house or wherever you can get barbecue sauce and actually put barbecue sauce on your sandwich. I even asked for extra. There was a younger guy running in the truck, and I felt like he was unsure of himself and had a difficult time managing a situation with himself and another teenager. I would highly recommend that there's an adult present at all times. The food may be decent, but it wasn't worth the price I paid for a small scoop of coleslaw a little side bit of mac and cheese and a pulled pork sandwich. It may behoove the owner to remember that the taste of the food isn't everything. What keeps people coming back to a food truck is the experience and the convenience. It'll be a whole lot easier to put a dipping ramekin into the cardboard boat or the styrofoam to go container with the food. Considering that 99% of their customers are ambulatory and in a big crowd, having one more thing to carry is not feasible. Just some "food" for thought

Additionally, the dining room was uncomfortably warm. At $42 for two entrées and two sodas, the price feels a bit high for a self-bussing establishment. ‍ The excellent food makes it worth a visit, especially for the burritos. Amoothing out the service flow would easily make it a 5-star spot for the area.
