When I called to request a quote for a windshield replacement, the receptionist was very patient and kind with all of the questions I had regarding the calibration. My vehicle required a calibration post windshield replacement and she was very helpful as well as the owner. Initially I was told to expect a four hour wait for the installation and calibration. we were on our way down to sdsu for parents weekend when we took a rock to the window on 5. we wanted to fill the crack before it spread so we looked for the closest window repair. luckily we were closest to Rich's Auto Glass! we called and explained our situation and they were able to work us in quickly. we arrived - they were very friendly and got to work quickly. the whole detour from 5 - to repair and back to 5 was about an hour total! super fast, super professional, and the work looks great. the hole/crack was filled and we could barely see it. now about a week later it still holds - so we are very pleased. we hope not to need to visit again but would recommend to everyone in the bakersfield area as a solid option for repairing a crack in your window. cost was reasonable - we submitted to insurance when we got home - we had a little out of pocket but can't say enough about how great the experience was. i like to say its about the experience, the solid work and the positive experience - which to me is the value i seek. money well spent. thanks all! read more

This place is either very inexperienced or just plain lazy. I had a 2023 honda ridgeline windshield replaced by them on an emergency. Glad they were available to handle work on it, but the workmanship was not to par of what I would expect from a company claiming they have 20 years of experience. had to return to them because the side molding on both sides was not installed correctly. after further investigation I found there was some type of electrical connections they did not connect along with one of my wipers not being reinstalled properly as it stopped functioning for me while driving during a rain storm. I contacted them and Barber Honda in bakersfield for a resolution to only be met with incompetence from both the dealership and this company. 20/10 do not recommend. read more

I had to come back because the original work tech came out earlier in the week and installed a new front windshield and when he finished there was a hissing sound coming from the top left corner. I called Richs auto glass made an appointment to get checked out and turns out he didn't even seal that side of the windshield. Luckily when I came back Dylan was there to greet me and let me know right away it was not completely sealed. After the experience I had with Safelite, (seems they can't speak to anyone on the phone, due to "virus" concerns), I started looking at locally owned companies. Kasey answered the phone, and was absolutely delightful, answering my questions, checking stock, giving me a quote, (quite a bit less than Safelite), and scheduling my appointment. We're off to a good start! The next morning, David and Junior show up at my home, (no extra charge), and did a great job putting in the rear glass on the RockingHorseMobile, a Ford F-350. A couple of pros here, doing the job well, while being friendly and answering questions as they went. The truck looks great,...er,....the window looks great. The truck is still a worn out pile of junk. And there were no added fees afterwards, other than a small fee for using a debit card. Quick, efficient, and friendly, all the way from the first phone call until we were all done. Next time some scumbag tweeker breaks a window, I know who to call! read more

The first windshield we had replaced at their shop and it was done quickly and right. The second was onsite. They forgot something but came back the next day and got the job done. Rich is Great! I had someone bust my window and I was asking for quotes on Yelp. I thought I had my alerts on for Yelp, but I did not. In the meantime I called my insurance company and talked to them about it. I never left my contact info for Rich, so he couldn't call me. He did get back to me within minutes on Yelp, but I didn't check it‍! So after talking to my insurance they said they could do it, but they couldn't be out for 4 more days- and that was through safelite. Safelite then called me and told me I would have to wait another day, because they didn't have my window. A huge company like that, didn't have the window for a Toyota , and it would take them 5 days to order it?? Needless to say I was frustrated because I couldn't drive my car like that. So I would be without a car for a work week. All this time I didn't check my messages, and then right now I notice after scoping for lunch tomorrow that I had a message and it's from Rich. He responded to my initial message within minutes, and the follow up just as fast. Rich quoted me a great price (almost half of what Safelite was charging me), he would accept insurance, he could come out that same afternoon, and then bill my insurance for me!!! Wow!
