We had our car broken into Sunday night. Right front windshield was smashed in. I called around to get a quote the next morning at 8 am and I was told they could get me in and on the road within the hour. I drove to the East side of 19th street and I was a little scared to be honest. Once I got to the shop I was relieved to find that they were efficient and professional. Also, no frills, no attitude like they are doing you a favor. They vacuumed all the horrible glass that was everywhere and left the car like nothing happened. Lastly, and honestly they weren't the cheapest quote I found but the service and the drive out was worth the price. I was quoted from $150.00 plus tax and that is exactly what I paid. Bob's Auto Glass was my best experience ever with a glass repair shop in. Unlike an unnamed large national repair place, the phone was answered by a human. There was no holding and waiting through an hour of pre recorded messages. They not only fixed the window very quickly, but also removed ALL lose glass in the car and in the door. The job was a better than new. The Price was a fraction of the national chain's quote. The folks at the shop were all friendly and it was obvious they cared. I agree with Phil, these guys are great. A random rock or tiny space saucer or something hit one of my back seat windows and shattered it - boo :( I called every single place in Bakersfield and not only did Bob's Auto Glass quote me the lowest price, they were the only ones who could fix it the same day even though they had to order the window from Fresno. We showed up for our appointment and when they took out the shattered glass they thoroughly vacuumed out all of it. It turned out that the delivery guy from Fresno got a flat tire on the way and so they didn't have the glass there yet, but the shop guy dropped everything he was doing and went and picked it up for us. They finished in just over an hour. And the best part? The total price ended up being cheaper than what they had quoted us. How often does that happen?
