Martin was quick to respond to my message and did great work at a fair price. He's able to recalibrate forward looking cameras so your built-in safety equipment will work correctly after the windshield has been installed. read more

Kept in contact, showed up at our scheduled time. Very courteous and professional. Definitely recommend Kern auto glass.

Best price I found in town for a windshield replacement and even moved things around for me to get me scheduled sooner!! Super friendly & professional. Most importantly was super convenient as he came to residence to complete the job and took not even an hour to get it done. read more

I recently called Martin at Kern Auto Glass for help with a suspected broken window regulator on an '87 Toyota 4Runner. He promptly ordered the parts and scheduled an appointment. Martin showed up on time and even though the door mechanism was damaged, was able to make entry to my truck in no time. He disassembled the window mechanism and showed me the broken, worn parts that were in need of replacement. He taught me that the regulator was fine but rather the door window channel was missing and assured me this was something I could order and replace myself cheaply. He very well could have charged me to replace a part that I didn't need but instead he was honest. Martin patched up the door with some spare parts and glued a broken mirror and window frame for me. Martin was professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and polite. His rates are very reasonable and I would not hesitate to use his services again! read more

Good price and good job in replacing my windshield and dependable too. The guy was right on time and it was a foggy and cold day.

Good price, good service. Way cheaper than safelite for windshield replacement. Free mobile installation, accepts cash/checks

Quick response, professional, reasonable and quality work! Job well done! Thanks Martin!

Did a great job with the chip in my vehicle window. Very quick and affordable. Easy to schedule appointment and staff are very accommodating. read more

Great service the guy was very respectful and helpful during this process. I had a rock chip on window and called the same day and he was there next morning read more

In town from San Diego and noticed a large crack in my windshield on Memorial Day. I submitted a Yelp request for a repair quote and Martin from KAG got back to me right away and stayed in communication until the appointment was booked for the very next day first thing in the morning. Since I am traveling solo and doing long drives, I needed this done quickly and correctly, ensuring my safety. KAG is highly professional, efficient, on-time, friendly and uses ONLY brand new windshield glass (be sure to ask other providers). Again, safety on the road is a priority, thus I didn't mind paying a little more for a high-quality job. Thank you! read more

Martin replaced my passenger side window for about 30-40% less than the big guys quoted. He was out here one business day after it got damaged. Great value, great work, and Martin is a really honest guy. read more

Amazing service, quick turnaround. Great value, much more affordable than other quotes I received.

My rear glass (2015 Jeep Wrangler) shattered, on the coldest morning of the year, on my drive to work--popped like a gunshot. I called Kern Auto Glass at 9:00 am, and Martin had me booked with a same-day appointment at 11:00 am. He replaced the window (genuine Mopar replacement) in less than an hour, reconnecting the rear wiper assembly, pneumatic lifts, and rear defroster. He vacuumed up all the broken glass and was a pleasure to talk to and work with. He was $200 cheaper than the chain that my insurance tried to set me up with (the place with a catchy jingle and Superbowl commercials). His price was less than my insurance deductible, so I didn't even proceed with a claim. Don't look anywhere else...just call. read more

Martin gave me a reasonable and affordable quote right away when I needed my window replaced. He even made sure my window tint matched the replacement! When the window arrived, he replaced it at my home in less than an hour! Thank you for your speedy service and professionalism, Martin! Highly recommend. read more

If I could I'd give Kern Auto Glass 10 stars! I was stressed about my car and reached out at 6 am, I had a response by 6:30 am and an appointment shortly after. Martin came in same day, to my house, took about an hour and fixed my window all by 11 am!! I'm so pleased with the service, he went above and beyond for me. Thanks Martin! I'm referring you to everyone I know! read more

Martin was quick to reply and quote great prices. Quick service. Definitely recommend!

Last week, I noticed a huge crack in my windshield. I checked with my insurance, and, naturally, checked in here on Yelp. These folks had the highest rating, and they worked with my insurance, so I called them. They responded almost immediately, and we made an appointment for today. This morning, Martin came, fixed the windshield, and I'm ready to go without a dime out of my pocket. Fast, friendly, and highly recommended. Excellent communication all the way through. My insurance company wanted me to use one of the big companies, but I'm so happy I stuck to using this small, owner-operated company. If you need auto glass repair or replacement, call them! read more

A rock chip on your windshield is never a fun thing. Luckily they can be repaired and places like Kern Auto Glass can really help things go smoothly. I would recommend this professional and courteous service. Thanks! read more

I had a great experience here with Martin. I needed a new windshield and I'm glad I chose Kern Auto Glass. My windshield had to be special ordered from the Kia dealership because my car is so new. Martin was upfront about the pricing and he was kind enough to place the order for me. His service charge is very reasonable. It took a little longer than expected for the windshield to come in but that wasn't Martin's fault, the Kia dealership kept throwing us delays and though it was inconvenient on their part, I appreciated that Martin was constantly keeping me up to date. When the windshield finally did come in, he scheduled a date&time for the repair and I was able to get it done in less than an hour. 5/5 stars for this business!!! I definitely recommend Kern Auto Glass read more

My windshield randomly had a crack in it the other day and safelite was going to charge me $460 for a mobile windshield replacement. Thieves broke the rear passenger window on my Ram 2500 Saturday night. Martin was able to schedule a repair for Monday morning; He arrived at the designated time with all the necessary materials and equipment. Quickly replaced the window, cleaned up the glass, reinstalled and checked the actuators and electrical connections. Took him about an hour. Looks perfect. New glass (not used) with lifetime warranty on repair. Half the cost of safelight quote, and supporting a local small business is just a bonus. What more do you want? My wife's car had a rock chip that immediately started cracking. I called around and prices varied quite a bit due to sensors that "needed calibration". Martin didn't sell me the other "fluff" charges from competitors. He was completely professional from the time of the agreement to the time of installation. Offered free at home service in Bakersfield. Clean fast at home installation. Martin and his dad were awesome to interact with. Now I know why he has consistent 5 stars. Will be recommending him to family and friends. read more

Wow, wow, wow! Thanks to Yelp!, I found a really awesome service team in my time of need. I commute to work and drive some pretty dodgy back and mountainous roads. When my Elantra was hit with a large rock, it did some serious damage to my windshield. I was hoping it would be something that would be an easy repair, but multiple people let me know it was going to be a replacement. Hyundai quoted me $450 for labor and the windshield. I messaged Martin though Yelp and sent a couple of pictures, too. He let me know it would definitely be a replacement and not a repair. When he sent me the quote I thought it was too good to be true. $200 out the door?! Wild! But I read his great reviews and thought it was worth a try. Sign me up!! He came on Friday, today, since I had the day off of work for an eye doctor appointment. He was here before we got back and waited for us. Martin and his right hand man were done in 45 minutes and left my windshield sparkling clean and free of any streaks. They were courteous, fast, and helpful! He even seemed grateful for a tip, but great service always deserves a little something extra. Thank you for coming out to my place, Martin. I mean it. Martin is a great communicator, even when I am not. I would forget to respond for a day or so (I know, I'm sorry!) and he was never pushy and never pressured me to make a decision and set up the appointment. Martin, you are an MVP. You deserve a hundred more five-star reviews. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Can not recommend these gentlemen enough! read more

My vehicle was broken into this Saturday, leaving me with multiple items stolen, multiple issues to get resolved. My broken car door window being one of the most nerve racking. Martin was quick with a response on the estimate for repair, even with it being a Sunday evening. I don't usually rate but Martin was amazing. He answered the phone on his day off, ordered the glass needed, came to our place of business and replaced a broken window within 2 days. Every other place had a waiting period of 1 week. He was great, professional and made us feel great. I would recommend this business 100%. Thank you, Martin!! read more

My car was broken into on Monday night and I needed a new window ASAP. Safelite quoted about $400 to replace the driver's side window, and they didn't have any openings at their shop that fit my schedule until the end of the week. I tried getting in contact with other local shops to get better quotes. Kern Auto Glass was the only one who replied. Not only was Martin willing to accommodate his hours to meet my availability, but his quote was a FRACTION of what Safelite's price was, and he even came out to my home to do the installation. He removed the remaining glass that fell on the inside of my car door and also vacuumed up the remaining shards of glass on the floor of my car. There was no mess left behind, my new window is perfect, and my car looks brand new again. I will 100% use Kern Auto Glass if my car gets broken into again! read more
